JESUS Is
Savior of Our Spirit, Soul, Body, Gifting and Call!
We all understand that JESUS is The Savior of our complete being; spirit, soul and body; but that’s not all. When GOD formed us in our mother’s womb He wrote out the days of our life before any of them existed and gifted and called us for the work of His Kingdom in the earth. When we did not keep the life that GOD wrote out for us we needed salvation to restore us to who GOD called and gifted us to be and to do the work that He gave us to do. Salvation is not about going to Heaven some day, it is about being restored to GOD’s Eternal Kingdom which includes Heaven after doing the work of His Kingdom in the earth as it is in Heaven.
When we are conceived our name is written in The Book of Life and it is when we reject JESUS and blaspheme His HOLY SPIRIT so that He knows that we will never repent that our name is struck from The Book of Life. Most Christians will not believe this they think that our name is written in The Book of Life when we are born again. If that is so then why did JESUS tell the seventy disciples in Luke 10:17-20, “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.” Now, JESUS had not yet died for our sins and risen to give us new life, so they were not born again; thought I’m sure that they all had been baptized in John’s baptism of repentance. So how was it that their names were already written in Heaven? There is no place in The Scripture that says when our name is written in The Book of Life, only when it is removed, “For I testify to everyone who hears The Words of The Prophecy of This Book: If anyone adds to these things, GOD will add to him the plagues that are written in This Book; and if anyone takes away from the Words of The Book of This Prophecy, GOD shall take away his part from The Book of Life, from The Holy City and from the Things which are written in This Book.” Revelation 22:18-19
Some will argue that from the womb GOD rejected people and therefore their name could not have been written in The Book of Life; like Pharaoh, Esau and Judas. In Jeremiah 17:9-10 GOD speaks of the heart of man as being totally corrupt – evil, and that He searches men’s hearts and tests their character to give them what they deserve. Pharaoh – GOD said that He raised Pharaoh up to show the nations His power; but we do not know at what point in his life that Pharaoh was so hardened that he rejected GOD, before or during the plagues or even earlier in his life. Esau – The Scriptures tell us the GOD hated Esau and loved Jacob in their mother’s womb, even though they had done nothing good or bad. Why, because GOD knew that Esau would reject his birthright as a young man and then hate his brother because Jacob stole his blessing as the firstborn son. Yet he never acted against his brother and they reconciled even though they lived separated from each other after Jacob returned. Judas – JESUS said of His betrayer that it would have been better if he had never been born. How could one who lived and served with JESUS for a year betray Him? How could one who had not only seen JESUS do many miracles but had with the eleven been sent out to proclaim The Kingdom of GOD and do miracles betray Him? It’s easy and still goes on today! How? Because, the gifts and calling of GOD are permanent and not taken away from us, not even by GOD. That is why Judas and many throughout history have used them for personal gain and even evil. Judas was a thief and stole from their common purse and when he betrayed JESUS for thirty pieces of silver his name was stricken from The Book of Life.
I said all this to make sure that we are aware of the fact that GOD gave us gifts and a call to do the work of His Kingdom in the earth as it is in Heaven and when we are born again by our trust in JESUS and our confession that He is LORD then we are redeemed to The Father, spirit, soul, body, gift and calling by The Blood of The LAMB. We have to stop teaching and living the purpose of our salvation as going to Heaven someday and teach and live our salvation as daily doing the work of GOD in the earth as it is in Heaven! That is why JESUS commanded us so many things: love GOD with all our heart, soul, strength and mind, love one all other believers, love your neighbor as you love yourself, love your enemies, do to others what you would want done to you, pray for those who mistreat and abuse you, tell The Good News everywhere with signs and wonders, make disciples and convert nations into GOD’s Kingdom!
