Gracious
Judgment?
I heard R.T. Kendall say that we are in a period of gracious judgment from GOD.
I believe that both the Church and America are in a period of judgment and I pray for GOD’s grace for us every day. I know a lot of people do not believe that GOD is judging the Church or America, but I see it everywhere every day.
Kendall said there are 4 reasons that we are under GOD’s judgment; racism, abortion, same sex marriage and religious liberalism.
At one point he quoted John The Baptist in Matthew 3:7b, “Who told you to flee the wrath to come?” GOD has always used judgment to correct His people, Israel and the Church, and now is no different. The call for the Church to repent is clear to those who are hearing GOD’s voice and recognizing the times in which we live.
He also spoke on Romans 8:28, “Now, all things work together for the good of those who love GOD and are the called according to His purpose.” This is the promise from GOD to all who believe in JESUS and seek GOD’s face.
So even as GOD is judging the Church and America those who love and serve Him have the promise that for them GOD will work good in their lives, even as JESUS said, “Those who save their life will lose it and those who lose their life for My sake will save it.” It is not about how well we live our life in the natural it is about how well we serve GOD in the natural. Our eternity is assured by our trust in JESUS’ life, death and resurrection, our treasure in Heaven is assured by our obedient service to GOD’s Will!
GOD corrects and punishes those He loves and He rewards those who obey and serve Him! This is what James was talking about when he said, “But someone will say, ‘You have faith and I have works.’ Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:18 When we are faithful to GOD in trust (faith) and obedience (works) He is faithful to us in life and blessings, whether natural or eternal!
Jeremiah 29:13, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Matthew 6:33, “Seek first The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”
According to Kendall the last level of GOD’s judgment is when GOD is silent, Isaiah 55:6, “Seek The LORD while He can be found, call upon Him while He is near.” We do not want to get to the place where we no longer hear from GOD and the majority of our pastors and prophets are not hearing or speaking the Truth.
The most important thing to remember is that GOD is Sovereign, He is doing His Will His Way in His Timing! Our responsibility is to hear and obey!
Be safe, GOD Bless, Bob
