As we look forward to 2023, let us understand that in these days we should be praying for GOD’s Mercy and seeking His Will and Purpose.

I used to believe that we had about 50 more years (about 43 until the great tribulation) until CHRIST establishes His 1000 year reign on the earth from Jerusalem. But the last 2 years has me convinced that we could see the anti-christ in the next 5 years.

If America falls in the next 2 years to socialism then the rest of the nations are doomed and soon we will see the rise of a one world government led by the anti-christ.

Living Wisdom

 

“Wisdom calls aloud outside (in the street); she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief (top of the walls; Vg. the head of multitudes) concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city she speaks her words: ‘How long, you simple (naive) ones, will you love simplicity (naiveté)? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge, turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour my SPIRIT on you; I will make my words known to you. But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure (at ease), without fear of evil.’ “Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill (lit. heights), beside the way, where the paths meet. She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors: ‘To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men. O you simple (naive) ones, understand prudence, and you fools, be of an understanding heart. Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, and from the opening of my lips will come right things; for my mouth will speak truth; wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; nothing crooked or perverse is in them. They are all plain to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her. I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength. By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth (MT, Syr., Tg., Vg., righteousness; LXX, Bg., some mss. and editions earth). I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. I traverse (walk about on) the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, that I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries. The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I have been established from everlasting, from the beginning, before there was ever an earth. When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth; while as yet He had not made the earth or the fields (outer places), or the primal dust (Lit. beginning of the dust) of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He drew a circle on the face of the deep, when He established the clouds above, when He strengthened the fountains of the deep, when He assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was beside Him as a master craftsman (a Jewish tradition one brought up); and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him, rejoicing in His inhabited world, and my delight was with the sons of men. Now therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord; but he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.’ Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars; she has slaughtered her meat, she has mixed her wine, she has also furnished (arranged) her table. She has sent out her maidens, she cries out from the highest places of the city, ‘Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!’ As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, ‘Come eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed. Forsake foolishness and live, and go in the way of understanding. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the HOLY ONE is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you.’” (Proverbs 1:20-23, 33; 8:1-36; 9:1-6, 10-11) Study Job 28.

 

This is not a doctrine of the church but a reality of the Kingdom of GOD. We know little if anything about Angels and the Spirits of GOD, what we need to stop doing is making doctrine about them, thank our Heavenly Father for them and seek GOD about how we should interact with them. Like, what Proverbs is about, that GOD’s wisdom is a living SPIRIT and we need to be seeking it, learning from it, and living in the knowledge and understanding we receive from it. This coupled with the gift of discerning of Spirits from the SPIRIT of GOD (The HOLY SPIRIT) will enable us to obey and fulfill the purpose and call of GOD for our life.

 

I believe that the seven SPIRITS of GOD are the HOLY SPIRIT, the biggest problem for believers is to be able to know, love and serve GOD without understanding Him. We are always trying to understand what, who, why and how GOD is; GOD is one yet triune, JESUS CHRIST is the Son of GOD and the Son of Man and the Living WORD, HOLY SPIRIT dwells in every believer and moves throughout the whole earth. The Creator of everything is our Heavenly Father, all creation exists within Him and He dwells within all creation. GOD knows everything, sees everything, hears everything and judges everything. GOD has dozens of names that we know Him by that try to describe Him for us. STOP! GOD tells us that we cannot understand Him, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 But He tells us that we can know Him, that we are His righteousness in CHRIST JESUS, that we are to be Holy as He is HOLY, that we are to be conformed to the image of CHRIST and have the Mind of CHRIST (2 Peter 1:1-4; Colossians 1; Philippians 2:1-18, 3:8-11). How is this accomplished? By faith (trust) and obedience, that’s it!

 

Wisdom is one of the seven SPIRITs of the LORD; Isaiah 11:1-2, “There shall come forth a Rod (Shoot) from the stem (stock or trunk) of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow (be fruitful) out of his roots. The SPIRIT of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the SPIRIT of wisdom and understanding, the SPIRIT of counsel and might, the SPIRIT of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.” “John, to the seven churches which are in Asia; ‘Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven SPIRITs who are before His throne, and from JESUS CHRIST,…’ And to the angel (or messenger) of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven SPIRITs of GOD and the seven stars…’And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices (NU, M voices, and thunderings). Seven LAMPS of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven SPIRITs of GOD (M omits the). And I  looked, and behold in the midst of the Throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a LAMB as though it had been slain (NU. M I saw in the midst…a LAMB standing), having seven HORNS and seven EYES, which are the seven SPIRITs of GOD sent out into all the earth.” Revelation 1:4-5a, 3:1, 4:5, 5:6.

 

Proverbs 2:10, “When Wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul…,” For wisdom to enter our heart it must be living because our heart and soul is our very living eternal being. Just as we are a Spiritual being and The HOLY SPIRIT sent by the Father lives in and through us as we yield our life to Him, so the SPIRIT of Wisdom will enliven us with Her knowledge and understanding as we seek Her and yield to Her instruction. In Matthew 11:19 JESUS says, “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look a glutton and a winebibber (wine drinker), a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But Wisdom is justified by her children^* (NU works).”

*KJV = “…Wisdom is justified by her children.”, NIV = “…Wisdom is proved right by her actions.”, New Living Translation = “…Wisdom is shown to be right by what results from it.”, NAS = “…Wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.”¹

Isaiah 9:6 “Fur unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is Given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. His Name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Might GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

John 3:16 “For GOD so Loved the world that He Gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have Everlasting Life.”

This is the promise of Salvation!

 

John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become Children of GOD, to those who believe on His Name.”

Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes unto Righteousness and with the mouth confesses in made unto Salvation.”

This is the requirement for Salvation!

 

1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to GOD Who gives us the Victory through our LORD JESUS CHRIST.”

Romans 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with Good.”

Galatians 5:1 “Stand fast in the Liberty wherewith CHRIST has made us Free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

We give GOD thanks for the Victory that we can live Free of sin.

A Prayer For The Church!

Based on 2 Chronicles 7:12-22

 

Then The LORD appeared to The Church leaders and said, ‘I have heard your prayer and have chosen the redeemed for Myself. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among the people, if My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their sinful ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made by My people. For now I have chosen and sanctified this people, that My Name may be on them forever; and My eyes and My heart will be for them perpetually.

As for you leaders, if you walk in The Way of your LORD JESUS and do according to all I commanded you and if you keep My Statutes and Judgments, then I will establish The Church as I covenanted with My Son, saying, “You are My Son, today I have begotten You; You are a priest forever according to the Order of Melchizedek.” But if you turn away and forsake My Statutes and My Commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot you from My Church which I have Sanctified for My Name; I Will cast you out of My sight and make you a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

And as for The Church which exalted itself, everyone who passes by will be astonished and say, “Why has The LORD done this to His People and The Church?” Then they will answer, “Because they forsook The LORD their GOD Who forgave their sin and embraced other gods and worshipped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.”

 

Heavenly Father forgive us, Your people, our sins!

Forgive us that we the people called by Your Name do not know Your Word for ourself!

Forgive us that we have allowed and taught false doctrines as Your Word!

Forgive us that we have lifted up our own names rather than the Name of JESUS our LORD!

Forgive us that we have allowed the spirit of Jezebel to flourish in Your Church!

Forgive us that we have allowed the spirit of Ahab to flourish in Your Church!

Forgive us that we have allowed the sexually immoral to function in Your Church!

Forgive us that we have allowed the morally wicked, liars, cheaters and thieves to lead Your Church!

 

Heavenly Father, by Your SPIRIT and Your Word, prick our hearts as individuals, families, groups, fellowships, congregations, ministries and denominations of our sins!

Show us the lies we have believed!

Show us the Truths that we have rejected!

Let Your Will be done in The Church as it is in Heaven! Amen!

Then The LORD appeared to The American leaders and said, ‘I have heard your prayer and have chosen this nation for Myself. Get Wisdom!

 

¹ Wisdom = n. sagacity (n. quick, keen judgment; ability to see promptly what should be done in a difficult situation; the quality of quick, sure decision.), prudence, good judgment; great learning.

syn. Prudence. Wisdom directs all matters, present or to come. Prudence, acting by foresight, directs what is to come. Rules of conduct are framed by wisdom. It is the part of prudence to apply these rules to the business of life.

² Wisdom (OT) = to teach: understanding, intelligence; skill; heart; craftiness, subtlety, prudence; to become wise or intelligent; understanding, wisdom, meaning; substance, wisdom.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure (at ease), without fear of evil. Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge. Hear, My son, and be wise; and guide your heart in the way. Buy the truth, and do not sell it, also wisdom and instruction and understanding. My son, be wise, and make My heart glad, that I may answer him who reproaches me. Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand all.” (Proverbs 1:7,33; 2:1-7; 3:13, 21; 4:5-7; 5:1; 6:20-21; 7:1-4; 8:1-8, 32-36; 9:10-12, 12:1; 16:16; 17:24; 19:8; 22:17, 20-21; 23:12, 19, 23; 27:11; 28:5)

 

“…incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding, yes if you cry out for discernment…” Proverbs 2:2b-3. Wisdom, understanding and discernment are all inter-linked, anyone of them is good but having all three allows The HOLY SPIRIT to be able to get us through any situation and also use us to bless others. Study 1 Corinthians 10:1-15.

 

“Say to wisdom, ‘You are my sister.’ and call understanding your nearest kin. Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice?” Proverbs 7:4, 8:1. Wisdom and understanding are living SPIRITS, see the chapter ‘Living Wisdom’. Also study Isaiah 11:1-2; Revelation 5:6

 

“Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, and from the opening of my lips will come right things; for my mouth will speak truth; wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; nothing crooked or perverse is in them.” Proverbs 8:6-8 Wisdom from GOD will always be pure and bring life, wisdom from the flesh, world, and kingdom of darkness is always deceitful and brings destruction and death. “For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the LORD; but he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.” Proverbs 8:35-36. Also study 1 Corinthians 3:18-23, 2 Corinthians 1:12 and James 3:13-18.

 

“Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.” Proverbs 12:1. In our politically correct world it is wrong to call someone stupid, but the Bible is clear that it is stupid to not pursue GOD’s instruction in wisdom and the correction that results in our life. “How long, you simple (naive) ones, will you love simplicity (naiveté)? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge.” Proverbs 1:22 “… ‘How I hated instruction, and my heart despised correction! I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me! I was on the verge of total ruin, in the midst of the assembly and congregation.” Proverbs 5:12-14 this is for both those who reject GOD and His gift of salvation through JESUS CHRIST and those who believe in JESUS but aren’t willing to study and learn for them self.

 

“The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips.” Proverbs 16:23; “If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, and if you scoff, you will bear it alone.” Proverbs 9:12; “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” James 3:17. We must seek His wisdom, knowledge and understanding or we become stagnant or worse we can believe a lie.

 

Be happy find wisdom! Solomon is teaching that we don’t just need knowledge, but how to use that knowledge. Proverbs 10:23b says, “But a man of understanding has wisdom.”

James says in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” The psalmist says in Psalm111:10, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.” Job says about wisdom in Job 28:12-28, “But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man does not know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living. The deep says, ‘It is not in me’; and the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’ It cannot be purchased for gold, nor can silver be weighed for its price. It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, in precious onyx or sapphire. Neither gold nor crystal can equal it, nor can it be exchanged for jewelry (vessels) of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral ( Heb. ramoth) or quartz, for the price of wisdom is above rubies. The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, nor can it be valued in pure gold. From where then does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding? It is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the birds of the air (heaven). Destruction (Heb. Abaddon) and death say, ‘We have heard a report about it with our ears.’ GOD understands its way, and He knows its place. For He looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heavens, to establish a weight for the wind, and apportion the waters by measure. When He made a law for the rain, and a path for the thunderbolt, then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out. And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.’” Long before Solomon Job says that true wisdom comes from GOD Who by speaking the Word created everything that exists and established its order and place in His creation.

 

All of creation knows that True Wisdom exists and has more value than anything in creation. Job 28:28 and John 17:3 are the theme of the Bible, “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is Wisdom, and to depart from evil is Understanding.” “And this is Eternal Life, that they know You, the only True GOD, and JESUS CHRIST whom You have sent.” GOD told Israel, “For I desire mercy (Or faithfulness or loyalty) and not sacrifice, and the Knowledge of GOD more than burnt offerings.” Hosea 6:6 and that still applies today to the whole earth, as He said to Habakkuk, “For the earth will be filled with the Knowledge of the Glory of the LORD.” Habakkuk 2:14.

For I am not ashamed of The Gospel of CHRIST, for it is The Power of GOD to Salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it The Righteousness of GOD is revealed from Faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’” (Habakkuk 2:4)

 

1 Corinthians 1:18-19 “For the Message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being Saved, it is The Power of GOD. For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.’” (Isaiah 29:14)

 

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be The GOD and Father of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, The Father of Mercies and GOD of all Comfort, Who Comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the Comfort with which we ourselves have been Comforted by GOD.”

 

Galatians 1:8-10 “But even if we or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or GOD? Or do I speak to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bond servant of CHRIST.”

 

Ephesians 1:13-14 “In Him, you also trusted, after you heard The Word of Truth, The Gospel of your Salvation; in Whom also, having believed, you were Sealed with The HOLY SPIRIT of Promise, Who is The Guarantee of our Inheritance until the Redemption of the Purchased Possession, to the Praise of His Glory.”

 

Philippians 1:21-22 “For to me, to live is CHRIST and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this will mean fruit for my labor; yet what shall choose I cannot tell.”

The Signs of Our Time!

 

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the Armor of Light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on The LORD JESUS CHRIST and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Romans 13:9-14

 

It seems that we are in the End of Days before CHRIST’s Millennial Reign over the nations of the world from Jerusalem. This is subjective to our knowledge of GOD’s Word The Bible, our experience in life and our knowledge of world events.

 

In regards to the End of Days, JESUS gave us two commands!

Know the time in which we live – GOD’s signs are evident to those who are paying attention.

Watch and be prepared for His return – which will come as a thief in the knight for those who are not watching and ready.

 

Know the signs of the time:

Matthew 12:38-42, 16:1-4; Mark 8:11-12; Luke 11:29-32;

The religious people of JESUS’ day wanted a special sign from GOD that they could interpret to prove Who JESUS was. JESUS chastised them for knowing the signs of weather but not knowing the sign of the time in which they lived, Himself.

The only sign He gave them was the sign of Jonah, that He would be buried and rise from the grave on the third day. A sign that they rejected even though it was prophesied that JESUS was the sign for that time and all time, Luke 2:34, “Then Simon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, ‘Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against.’”

Paul talked about JESUS being the sign to the Jews and Wisdom to the Greeks (non-Jews), 1 Corinthians 1:22-23, “For the Jews request a sign and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach CHRIST crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks, foolishness.” The world overall continues to reject GOD’s sign – JESUS CHRIST and Him Crucified!

Just before His ascension into Heaven the disciples asked about the kingdom of Israel, Acts 1:6-7 “Therefore, when they came together, they asked Him, saying. ‘LORD, will You at this time restore the kingdom of Israel?’ And He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know times or seasons which The Father has put in His Own Authority.’”

 

Matthew 24, 25; Mark 13; Luke 21; these passages of Scripture are JESUS description of the signs we should be looking for and a warning to be ready for His return.

“Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be?’ And what will be the sign of Your coming, and the of the end of the age?’ And JESUS answered and said to them, ‘Take heed that no one deceive you.’”

“Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved;”

“See, I have told you before hand.”

 

The signs of the End of Age, the Great Tribulation (the anti-christ) and the Return of CHRIST!

Many will come in My Name and deceive.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars.

Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against nation.

There will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes.

These are just the beginning.

You will be persecuted, killed and hated for My Name’s sake.

Many will be offended, betray one another and hate one another.

False prophets will deceive many.

Lawlessness will abound.

The love of many will grow cold.

And this Gospel will be preached in all the world as a witness to every nation.

When the abomination of desolation in Jerusalem occurs, flee Jerusalem.

There will be great tribulation.

False christs will arise to deceive.

The Sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.

The stars will fall from heaven.

The Heavens will be shaken.

The sign of The Son of Man will appear in the heaven.

The nations will mourn and see The Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with Power and Great Glory.

CHRIST will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet and gather together His Elect.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: when its branch has become tender and put forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near – at the doors!” Matthew 24:32-33

 

Watch and be prepared:

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only… Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect…Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food at the right time? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 24:36-51

 

Many of JESUS’ parables were about doing what is right until JESUS comes and not back sliding because we do not know when that will be, and we do not what to be caught in sin or unforgiveness and cast into hell. Matthew 25:1-13, the ten virgins, only 5 made it to the wedding, the 5 who were unprepared and late were locked out because the Groom did not know them.

Matthew 25:14-30, a man leaves 3 servants each a sum of money; depending on the man’s evaluation of the skill and trustworthiness of his servant; while he is away for a time. When he returns he demands the results of his servants, the first one has doubled the money his master left with him and the second one also doubled the money his master left with him, the master rewards both of them. The third man returns the money his master left with him saying he was afraid of his master because he was a harsh man. The master in angry with the servant and says that knowing his master was a harsh man he should have invested the money in a bank and at least got interest on it. The master took the money from the third servant and gave it to the first servant and had the third servant cast into outer darkness where there was weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:31-46 is the parable of when JESUS will judge the nations, the sheep nations are those who did the works of His Kingdom in the earth – love and care for the people in need, these He rewards with The Kingdom of Heaven. The goat nations are those who did not love and care for the needs of the people, but only for themselves; these He casts into everlasting punishment. The term nation represents the religious, governmental, financial and social leaders who were responsible for the love and care of their people.

 

“Behold! I Am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one can take your crown.”

“And behold, I Am coming quickly and My Reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.” “Behold, I Am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps The Words of the Prophecy of This Book.” “He Who testifies to these things, says, ‘Surely I AM coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, LORD JESUS!” Revelation 3:11; 22:7, 12, 20

 

So, the question is do you believe that we are living in the days that are called The End of The Age? Are we living in the days leading up to the rule of the anti-christ?

If we are, what are you going to do about it? Are you living your life according to GOD’s Will for you? This is the most important question for every age, are you living your life according to GOD’s will for you? Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘LORD, LORD.’ shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does The Will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me on That Day, ‘LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your Name, and done many wonders in Your Name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.,” It’s not just important to be doing the Works of GOD’s Kingdom in the earth as it is in Heaven, it is important to be doing what GOD has called you to do.

The Devil And The Crucifixion!

 

In Christianity we often hear something like, “If the devil knew the Bible he would not have crucified JESUS” or “If the devil knew what was going to happen he would not have crucified JESUS.” This gives the devil too much credit, actually he could not stop the crucifixion of JESUS!

 

In the account of JESUS and the disciples traveling around Caesarea-Philippi He asked them who people were saying they thought He was. Then He asked them Who they thought He was and Peter answered, “You are The CHRIST, The Son of The Living GOD.”, then JESUS warned them not to tell anyone. Next JESUS told them about His pending arrest and crucifixion; Peter took JESUS aside and rebuked JESUS saying, “Far be it from You, LORD; this shall not happen to You.” JESUS then corrected the devil who was using Peter to try to dissuade JESUS from His appointed purpose. “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offence to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of GOD, but the things of men.” JESUS was not talking to Peter and the disciples He was talking to the devil who understood the ramifications of CHRIST’s birth, death and resurrection. Matthew 16:13-23; Mark 8:27-33; Luke 9:18-22

 

The devil had been trying to stop JESUS since His birth from fulfilling GOD’s plan for humanities Salvation. He tried to have JESUS murdered when He was about 2 years old. The devil tried to trick JESUS during His 40 days of fasting after His baptism. But, he was not able to accomplish either. Matthew 2, 4:1-11; Mark 1:9-13; Luke 4:1-13

 

The devil knew from the beginning GOD’s plan for humanity: that humanity was made in GOD’s image (the angles were not), that humans would sin because of deception (by the devil) and disobedience. Genesis 1:26-31; 2:7, 18-25; 3

 

GOD planned humanities redemption from before the creation of the earth. “So the LORD said to the serpent (the devil): ‘Because you have done this…I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed (JESUS); He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise His heel.’” Genesis 3:14-16; Matthew 18:10-11; 26:3646; Mark 14:32-42; Luke 22:39-46; John 3:12-21; Revelation 13:8

 

So the devil understood what JESUS’ crucifixion meant and he was trying to stop it not cause it!

The Word

 

1. logos (I) denotes “the expression of thought”—not the mere name of an object—(a) as embodying a conception or idea; (b) a saying or statement, (1) by GOD, (2) by CHRIST, In connection with (1) and (2) the phrase “the word of the LORD,” i.e., the revealed will of GOD (very frequent in the OT), is used of a direct revelation given by CHRIST, in this respect it is the message from the LORD, delivered with His authority and made effective by His power; sometimes it is used as the sum of GOD’s utterances, discourse, speech, of instruction; doctrine.

(II) “The Personal Word,” a title of the Son of GOD.

2. rhema denotes “that which is spoken, what is uttered in speech or writing”; in the singular, “a word,” in the plural, speech, discourse.

The significance of rhema (as distinct from logos) is exemplified in the injunction to

take “the sword of the SPIRIT, which is the Word of GOD,” Ephesians 6:17; here the reference is

not to the whole Bible as such, but to the individual Scripture which the SPIRIT brings to

our remembrance for use in time of need, a prerequisite being the regular storing of the

mind with Scripture.¹

 

The Word refers to the Law, the Scripture, the Prophecies, the Commandments, the Statutes, etc., every form of communication from GOD to us.

 

“Turn at My rebuke; surely I will pour My SPIRIT on you; I will make My Words known to you. My son, if you receive My Words, and treasure My Commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of GOD. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to My Knowledge; for it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you; let them all be fixed upon your lips, so that your trust may be in the LORD; I have instructed you today, even you. Have I not written to you excellent things of counsels and knowledge, that I may make you know the certainty of the Words of Truth, that you may answer words of truth to those who send to you (or send you)? Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the Law. Every Word of GOD is pure (tested, refined, found pure); He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His Words, lest He rebuke you and you be found a liar.” (Proverbs 1:23, 2:1-6, 22:17-21, 29:18, 30:5-6)

 

JESUS is the living Word, John 1:1-18 (study it).

King David has a lot to say about the Word; study Psalm 19:7-11 and Psalm 119 (which is an alphabetic acrostic in Hebrew).

The Bible is the Word of GOD and He has a lot to say about His Word, James 1:21, “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow (abundance) of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.”

“That I may make you know the certainty of the Words of Truth, that you may answer words of truth to those who send to you (or send you)?” Proverbs 22:21. In Luke 11:27-28 JESUS says, “And it happened as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, ‘Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!’ But He said. ‘More than that, blessed are those who hear the Word of GOD and keep it!’” In Matthew 5:17-18 He said, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, one jot (Gr. iota, Heb. Yod, the smallest letter) or one tittle (the smallest stroke in a Heb. letter) will by no means pass from the Law till all is fulfilled.” Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:15-17, “and from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS. All Scripture is given by inspiration of GOD and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction (training, discipline) in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We can only know and speak truth if we know truth, JESUS is the Truth (John 14:6) and the only way we can know Him today is by His Word and His SPIRIT.

“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the Law.” Proverbs 29:18. GOD instructs us in Joshua 1:8, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night (you shall be constantly in), that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Again we must always be a student of GOD’s Word if we hope to be successful in this life and enter into eternity in His Kingdom.

Psalm 19:7-11 says, “The Law of The LORD is perfect, converting (restoring) the soul; the Testimony of The LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the Statutes of The LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandment of The LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of The LORD is clean, enduring forever; the Judgments of the LORD are True and Righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb (honey in the combs). Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is much reward.” The SPIRIT of GOD convicts us and trains us and how do we know it is the SPIRIT of GOD? By The Word of GOD! The SPIRIT and the Word are never in conflict in John 4:23, JESUS said we will worship GOD in SPIRIT and TRUTH and JESUS is the Living WORD and The TRUTH and has sent His SPIRIT to instruct us!

“He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His Words, lest He rebuke you and you be found a liar.” Proverbs 30:5-6. JESUS says in Revelation 1:3 and 22:18-19, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the Words of this Prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. For (NU. M omit For) I testify to everyone who hears the Words of the Prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, GOD (M may GOD add) will add to him the plagues that are written in this Book; and if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this Prophecy, GOD (M may GOD take away) shall take away his part from the Book of Life (NU. M tree of life), from the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this Book.”
