1 John Chapter 2 Part 1

1 John Chapter 2

Part 1 Vs 1-11

Introduction to John:

1:1-3 Personal testimony – John knew JESUS in the flesh as one of the 12 JESUS  called to be His disciples (Matthew 10:1-4). He also knew JESUS in the supernatural by his experience with Peter and James on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-9). Then John knew JESUS in the SPIRIT after His Resurrection (Mark 16:14-18), so when John talks about JESUS he knew JESUS more than most in His day and more than all of us since.

2:1 That you may not sin! (Proverbs 1 The call to not sin and the result of sinning; Hebrews 7:24-25, 9:27-28; JESUS said twice, “Go and sin no more!” John 5:1-15, 8:1-12)

:2 Verse 1 ends with the statement, “And if any one sins, we have an Advocate with The Father, JESUS CHRIST The Righteous!” John continues in verse 2, “And He Himself is the Propitiation* for our sins and not only ours but for the whole world!” That is the Gospel! (Romans 3:21-26; John 1:29, 3:16-17)

:3-6 These are critical statements to Believers, what you say has to match your lifestyle!

:3 “Now by this we know that we know Him, IF we keep His Commandments!” (John 8:31-32)

:4“He who says, ‘I know Him.’ and does not keep his Commandments is a Liar; and The Truth Is Not in him!” (John 3:18-21,30-36)

:5 “But whoever keeps His Word truly the Love of GOD is Perfected in him; by this we know that we are in Him.” (John 14:19-24; 1 John 5:20-21)

:6 “He who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk just as He Walked!” (John 15:1-8 JESUS tells us to abide in Him 4 times and if we do not abide in Him we will not produce fruit 3 times.)

:7-11 True Light and Love, do you have them in your Life?

:7 “…no new Commandment to you but an old Commandment which you have heard from the Beginning.” (The Law given by Moses; The Word spoken by JESUS; 1 John 3:10-11, 21-23, 5:20-21)

:8 “Again a New commandment…which thing is True in Him and in you (us).” (This comes out of abiding in JESUS, John 13:34-35, 15:9-14) “…because darkness is passing away and True Light is already Shining.” (John 1:6-9, 3:18-21; 1 John 1:5-7)

:9 “He who says he is in The Light and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.” (Matthew 5:21-22, 43-48; 1 Corinthians 13:1-3) “…is in darkness until now!” (The world’s love is nothing if you have the greatest expression of natural love but you do not abide in JESUS and He in you, your love is worthless.)

:10 “He who Loves his brother abides in Light and there is no cause for stumbling in him.” (2 Peter 1:5-11)

:11 “But he who hates his brother is in darkness…because the darkness has blinded his eyes.” (Matthew 6:22-23; John 12:35-36)

Matthew 6:24 Trusting GOD Above Money!

Matthew 6:24

Trusting GOD Above Money!

JESUS said, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve GOD and mammon (Money)!”

Paul said in 1 Timothy 6:10, “ For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (Proverbs 15:27; Ephesians 4:17-24)

JESUS said in Matthew 6:19-23, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is there your heart will be also! The lamp of the body is the eye, if therefore your eye is good (clear or healthy), your whole body will be full of light; but if your eye is bad (evil or unhealthy), your whole body will be full of darkness, if therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness?”

JESUS said in Matthew 6:25-34, “…Seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness  and all these things (shelter, drink & food and clothing) will be added to you; but do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things, sufficient for the day is its own trouble!”

Does GOD want to make everyone prosperous and rich? No!

JESUS said in Luke 12:22-34 “…Therefore do not worry about your life… and do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink nor have an anxious mind; for all these things the nations of the world seek after and your Father knows that you need these things…Sell what you have and give alms, provide yourselves money bags that do not grow old, a treasure in Heaven that does not fail…” (Luke 12:12-21)

In Acts 20:35 Paul quoted JESUS as saying, “…It is more  Blessed to give than to receive!”

Does GOD want us to put our life’s desires before His Purpose for our life? No!

In Mark 8:34-38, JESUS said, “…Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. (JESUS’ cross was to die for our sins, our cross is to Obey GOD’s Plan for our life, Psalm 139:13-18)…for what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and losses his own soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?”

One more example: JESUS was watching people give their offering at the Temple and noted a poor widow who put in two pennies, Luke 21:1-4, “…for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for GOD but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.”

Romans 6:22-23, “But now having been freed from sin and having become slaves of GOD, you have your fruit to Holiness and The End, Everlasting Life; for the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of GOD is Eternal Life in CHRIST JESUS!”

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 Part 5

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7

Part 5 Vs 23-29

Complete Jewish Bible

When Solomon writes Ecclesiastes he seems disappointed and discouraged about the results of his life choices and how he sees the lives of others working out in the world.

Solomon knew the True and Living GOD JEHOVAH, he knew of the Promised Messiah but could not reconcile what he experienced and saw with the Promise. We have the Promised Messiah, JESUS CHRIST, we have no excuse for this kind of sorrow!

:23-24 All this I have put to the test of Wisdom (Isaiah 1:18; Proverbs 1:1-7), I said, “I will acquire Wisdom.”; but Wisdom remained far from me (Why?). That which exists is far away and deep, so deep that it cannot be discovered (Psalm 139:1-12; Proverbs 16:1-3; Matthew 10:26; 1Corinthians 2:6-11).

:25 So I turned myself and my thoughts to know, search out and seek Wisdom and the reasons behind things, also to know how foolish it is to be wicked and how stupid to act like a fool (Ecclesiastes 1:16-18; Isaiah 55:6, Jeremiah 26:11-14;  Matthew 6:33, 34).

[Solomon becomes king of Israel and prays to JEHOVAH for Wisdom to govern the people; and GOD Honors his prayer and gives him Wisdom beyond any man, wealth beyond any man, fame beyond any man; but Solomon added to himself (Not GOD) wives beyond any man and that was his downfall.]

:26 I found more bitter than death the woman who is a trap, whose heart is a snare and whose hands are like prison chains (Proverbs 5, 7, 9:13-18). The man who Pleases GOD will escape her, but a sinner will be caught by her (Eve was deceived and talked Adam into sinning, Genesis 3:11-13; 1 Timothy 2:13-14).

:27-28 I have found this – says Kohelet (Preacher) – adding one thing to another to reach a conclusion, I searched a long time without finding it; one man in a thousand I have found, but a woman among all those I have not found (Ecclesiastes 1:1-2; Psalm 39:4-6).

:29 This is the only thing I have found that GOD made human beings upright, but they have devised many schemes (Genesis 1:26-28, 4:6-12, Proverbs 5:21-23; Ecclesiastes 12:9-14).

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 Part 4

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7

Part 4 Vs. 16-24

:16 So don’t be overly Righteous or overly Wise; why should you disappoint yourself (Proverbs 25:27; Jeremiah 9:23-24; Romans 12:3)?

:17 Don’t be overly wicked and don’t be foolish; why should you die before your time (Job 15:20, 30-32; Psalm 55:23; Proverbs 12:15; Titus 3:3)?

:18 Don’t grasp just one of these rules, take hold of the other as well; for he who is in Fear of GOD will live by both of them (Proverbs 3:7-8, 10:23, 26:12; 1 Corinthians 10:12).

:19 To a Wise man wisdom is better protection than ten rulers in a city (GOD’s Wisdom is better than all the city rulers combined Proverbs 21:22; Ecclesiastes 9:13-18).

:20 For there is not a Righteous person on the earth who does [only] good and never sins (1 Kings 8:46; Proverbs 20:9; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8-10).

:21-22 Also, don’t take seriously every word spoken, such as when you hear your servant speaking badly of you; because often, as you yourself know, you have spoken badly of others (Matthew 5:21-22, 7:1-2, 12:34-37; James 3:2; 1 John 3:1-15).

Luke 10:22

Luke 10:22

NKJV

“All things have been delivered to Me by My Father and no one knows Who The Son is except The Father; and Who The Father is except The Son and the one to whom The Son wills to reveal Him.”

“All things have been delivered to Me by My Father and no one knows Who The Son is except The Father…”

John 3:30-35 John The Baptist speaking of JESUS says, “He must increase but I must decrease, He Who comes from Above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of he earth. He Who comes from Heaven is above all. What He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. He who has received His testimony has certified that GOD is True! For He Whom GOD has sent speaks the Words of GOD, for GOD does not give The SPIRIT by measure. The Father Loves The Son and has given all things into His Hand.”

John 5:27 JESUS said, “For as The Father has Life in Himself so He has granted The Son to have Life in Himself, and has given Him authority to Execute Judgment also because He is The Son of Man.”

John 17:2 “JESUS spoke these Words, lifted up His eyes to Heaven and said: ‘Father the hour has come, Glorify Your Son that Your Son also may Glorify You, as You have given Him Authority over all flesh, that He shall give Eternal Life to as many as You have given Him.’”

And no one knows Who The Father is except The Son and the one to whom The Son Wills to reveal Him.”

John 14:6, “JESUS said to him, I Am The Way, The Truth and The Life, no one comes to The Father except through Me!”

John 1:18, “No one has seen The Father at any time; The Only Begotten Son Who is in the Bossom of The Father, He has declared Him.”

John 6:43-47, “JESUS therefore answered and said to them, ‘Do not murmur among yourselves! No one can come to Me unless The Father Who sent Me draws him, and I Will Raise him up at The Last Day! It is written in the Prophets, “And they shall all be taught by GOD!” Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from The Father comes to Me! Not that anyone has seen The Father except He Who is from GOD; He has seen The Father. Most assuredly , I say to you, he who Believes in Me has Everlasting Life!’”

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 Part 3

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7

Complete Jewish Bible

Part 3 Vs. 11-17

When Soloman writes Ecclesiastes he seems disappointed and discouraged about the results of his life choices and how he sees the lives of others working out in the world.

Solomon knew the True and Living GOD JEHOVAH, he knew of the Promised Messiah but could not reconcile what he experienced and saw with the Promise. We have the Promised Messiah, JESUS CHRIST, we have no excuse for this kind of sorrow!

:11-12 Wisdom is good (Proverbs 9:10), along with possessions, an advantage to all who see the sun (Proverbs 4:18). For Wisdom is a shelter (Proverbs 9:1-6, 24:3-4) and money is a shelter (Proverbs 10:15, 18:11; Matthew 6:19-24, 19:23-24; Luke 12:16-21), but the advantage of Knowledge (Proverbs 1:6) is that Wisdom keeps the one who has it Alive (Proverbs 1:33, 3:13-18).

:13 Consider The Work of GOD (Psalm 90:1-2: Proverbs 8:25-26; Revelation 4:11); who can make straight what He has made crooked (Job 12:13-14; Isaiah 40:3-5; Matthew 3:1-3)?

:14 When things are going well enjoy yourself, but when things are going badly consider that GOD made the one alongside the other (Proverbs 5:21, 15:3; Matthew 5:45; Romans 8:28; James 1:2-3), so that people would learn nothing of their futures (Ecclesiastes 6:12).

:15 In my pointless life I have seen everything – from the righteous person perishing in his uprightness to the wicked one who lives a long life and keeps on doing wrong (Proverbs 8:10-15; when you do not understand, trust and wait John 16:12).

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 Part 2

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7

Complete Jewish Bible

Part 2 Vs. 4-10

:4 The thoughts (heart) of the wise are in the house of mourning, but the thoughts (heart) of the fools are in the house of pleasure (Proverbs 6:24-27, 9:1-6).

:5-6 It is better to hear (listen too, not just hear) the rebukes of the wise (Psalm 141:5) than to listen to the songs of fools, for the laughter (Ecclesiastes 2:1-2) of fools is like the crackling (Lit. sound) of thorns burning under a pot; this too is pointless (thorns burn fast and produce no coals and the wisdom of fools is folly, Proverbs 23:9, 24:7).

:7 But oppression can make a wise man stupid (destroys a wise man’s reason, Exodus 23:9); also a gift (bribe) can destroy understanding (Exodus 23:8).

:8-9 The end of something is better tha its beginning (Matthew 19:28-30; Job 42:12), so the patient are better than the proud (Proverbs 14:29, 26:12; Galatians 5:22-24; Ephesians 4:1-3; James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 2:20; Revelation 13:10, 14:6-12). Don’t be quick to get angry, for [only] fools nurse anger (Proverbs 15:1-2, 16:32, 17:14; Psalm 4:4; Ephesians 4:25-27).

:10 Don’t ask why the old days were better than now because that is a foolish question (there is no such thing as “The good old days.” Philippians 3:1-11)

Ecclesiastes Chapter 7

Part 1 vs. 1-3

Solomon knew the True and Living GOD JEHOVAH, he knew of the Promised Messiah but could not reconcile what he experienced and saw with the Promise. We have the Promised Messiah, JESUS CHRIST, we have no excuse for this kind of sorrow!

:1 A good name is better than perfumed oil (precious ointment Exodus 29:1-7; Psalm 133; Proverbs 22:1; Matthew 26:6-13) and the day of death better than the day of birth (Job 3:1, 10-11; Ecclesiastes 4:1-3).

:2-3 Better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting (Proverbs 15:15-17, for all are destined to be mourned (Nehemiah 8:8-10; Matthew 5:4) the living should lay this to heart; grief (sorrow) is better than laughter, for sadness can improve a person ( 2 Corinthians 7:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14; Proverbs 17:22; Deuteronomy 32:28-29; Psalm 90:12; 2 Peter 3:10-11).

"If It's Your Will!"

“If it’s Your Will!”

All quotes from The Scriptures

Matthew 8:2-4 “And see, a leper came and bowed before Him (JESUS), saying, ‘MASTER (LORD), if You Desire, You are Able to make me Clean.’ And stretching out His hand YESHUA touched him saying, ‘I Desire it. Be Cleansed!’ and Immediately his leprosy was Cleansed; And YESHUA said to him, ‘See, mention it to no one, but go your way show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Mosheh commanded as a Witness to them.’”

Christians pray “If it is Your Will” all the time but do we forget to add, “You are Able!” This man told JESUS, “If You want, You are Able…”

It’s not just asking GOD to do something for us, it’s recognizing that first He is Able and second that it is His Will! “And Belief (Faith) is the Substance of what is Expected, the Proof of what is not seen…But without Belief it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to ELOHIM (GOD) Has To Believe that He Is and that He Is a Rewarder of those who earnestly Seek Him.” Hebrews 11:1, 6 “If any of you lacks Wisdom let him ask of Elohim, Who Gives to all generously and without reproach and it shall be given to him. But he should ask in Belief not doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6

JESUS said that if we know GOD’s Word and have the smallest amount of Faith we will have control over even creation. So why do we (I) have doubt when we pray? Because sometimes it is not GOD’s Will at that time for whatever reason to do what we ask or even demand. So we begin to doubt, did I pray correctly, did GOD hear my prayer, do I have sin in my life, etc.

The Bible teaches us that GOD always hears our prayers, spoken or not and we know from The Bible that it is GOD’s Will to Heal us, Deliver us, Bless us, etc. So why do our prayers go unanswered sometimes? There are many reasons like its not GOD’s Purpose at this time, maybe there is something in your life that causes GOD to hold back for your benefit, maybe the adversary is blocking GOD’s response.

JESUS prayed earnestly three times that if it was possible for Him to not have to suffer the cross, but He concluded each time, “Not my Will but Your Will be done!” and He went to the cross for us. Paul prayed three times for GOD to take away a thorn in his life and GOD told him that His Grace was sufficient for Paul, so Paul continued to suffer that thorn.

The problem is not GOD’s lack of answering our prayers, it is our attitude when that happens. Both JESUS and Paul accepted GOD’s Will and Purpose and continued without complaint to Serve GOD’s Purpose. This is the challenge for us as Believers in JESUS, to accept GOD’s Will and Purpose for our life and to continue to Obey without complaint. “…work out your own deliverance with fear and trembling, for it is ELOHIM Who is Working in you both to Desire and to Work for His good Pleasure. Do all Matters without Grumblings and Disputings” Philippians 2:12-14

Part 1 Vs. 1-5

:1-2 Introduction: “Peter, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST: to the pilgrims (sojourners) of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia; elect (chosen) according to the foreknowledge of GOD The Father, in Sanctification of The SPIRIT, for Obedience and Sprinkling of The Blood of JESUS CHRIST.”

:1Peter introduces himself as an apostle of JESUS CHRIST, in his second epistle he introduces himself as “Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of JESUS CHIRST.” (2 Peter 1:1) He is writing to the Christians in five areas, it’s understood that his letter is going to be distributed to a large portion of the Roman Empire.

:2 These (we) are the elect or chosen according to the foreknowledge of GOD The Father (Ephesians 1:3-6 this sounds like predestination, but it is not, John 1:12-13, 29-34, 3:16-17; Romans 8:28-30; Ezekiel 18:32, 33:11). We are Sanctified by The HOLY SPIRIT (2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 [sanctification = being set apart]). For Obedience (Acts 5:29-32; Romans 1:1-6). Sprinkling of The Blood of JESUS CHRIST (Hebrews 10:19-25 hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience [forgiveness] and our bodies washed with pure water {baptism], 12:22-24). Grace and Peace be multiplied (John 14:27, 20:19-23; Philippians 4:6-7; Galatians 6:16-18; Grace = charis “the divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in the life”; GOD told Paul that His Grace was Sufficient for Paul’s need 2 Corinthians 12:9).

:3-5 Incorruptible Inheritance:

:3 Worship GOD The Father and our LORD JESUS CHRIST! (Psalm 100). According to His Abundant Mercy (mercy is unmerited favor John 3:16-17). GOD has Begotten us to a living Hope (John 3:3-7; 2 Corinthians 5:14-17; James 1:18; Hebrews 11:1; Romans 8:23-25). Through the Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23; Philippians 3:8-11; Hebrews 9:27-28).

:4 An Inheritance incorruptible (imperishable; 1 Corinthians 15:50-55; Romans 1:22-23). Undefiled (Hebrews 7:24-28). Does not fade away – it is Eternal (Hebrews 9:13-15). Reserved in Heven for us (John 14:1-6; Revelation 21:1-7).

:5 Kept by The Power of GOD; (Exodus 9:16; Zecharia 4:6; Revelation 4:11). Through Faith for Salvation (John 1:12-13; Ephesians 2:4-10). Ready to be Revealed in the Last Time (Galatians 4:3-5; Revelation 1:1-3, 22:6, 19:10, 22:10)

1 John Chapter 1

1 John Chapter 1

1:1-4 Introduction: In this epistle Paul does not introduce himself so it must have been delivered by someone who knew John to people who knew John.

:1-3 Personal testimony – John knew JESUS in the flesh as one of the 12 JESUS  called to be His disciples (Matthew 10:1-4).

:4 It is important for us as Believers in JESUS to understand what John, Paul, Peter, James and Jude wrote and how that applies to our life!

1:5-7 GOD is Light!

:5 No darkness (Psalm 139:1-12; Daniel 2 ;20-23; John 1:1-5; 1 Timothy 6:16).

:6 Do not lie (Psalm 107:10-16; Matthew 6:19-24; John 3:16-21).

:7 Walk in Light (Isaiah 2:5, 60:1-3; Matthew 5:13-16; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Hebrews 9:11-15).

1:8-10 Do not sin!

:8-9 Do not lie (Proverbs 28:13; Isaiah 1:18-20; Acts 2:38-39)

:10 GOD does not lie! Do not make Him a liar! (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:1-3; 1 John 5:10 )

Corruption In The Church! Part 3

Corruption In The Church!

Part  3

False teaching:

1. Rapture is before the Great Tribulation; 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 (52) “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.” Revelation 11:14-19 (14-15) “The second woe is past! Behold! The third woe is coming quickly! Then the seventh angel sounded and there were loud voices in Heaven saying, ‘The kingdoms of the world have become the kingdoms of our LORD and His CHRIST and He shall Reign Forever and Ever!’”

2. Escapism;1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but GOD is faithful Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” This sounds like an escape from temptation, that is not what JESUS and the  apostles teach about temptation (James 1:2-4, 12-18; 1 Peter 2:18-25, 3:13-17, 4:12-19) There are Believers that do not want to be tempted, but temptation is part of being alive, JESUS was tempted (Matthew 4:1-11; Mark 1:12-13; Luke 4:1-13; Hebrews 4:14-16). If we escape a temptation rather than overcome it we will face that temptation again (Matthew 10:21-22, 24:13; Mark 13:13; 1 John 2:13-14; Revelation 12:11). JESUS said to every Church, “To him who overcomes I will…” (Revelation 2 and 3).

Escapism; Matthew 24:22 “And unless those days were shortened no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s (chosen ones) sake those days will be shortened.” (Isaiah 65:8-9; Mark 13:19-20; Luke 21:34-36) The Rapture is taught as an escape for Believers from the Great Tribulation, but tribulation is in our calling (Matthew 5:10-12, 24:21). The Rapture comes at the last Trumpet (2 Thessalonians 1)

3. Wealth for all (prosperity doctrine or the good life doctrine); Reciprocity is a real thing, you cannot out give GOD is a true statement, but the only people getting rich from teaching that “If you give, GOD will Bless it (double it), give it back to you 100 fold”, are the ones preaching and teaching it.  GOD does not make everyone rich (wealthy), in fact most Believers never get rich or wealthy enough to retire young and live the good life. Why? Because GOD does not call us to live the good life, He Calls us to live the Obedient Life. GOD does give wealth to those who He trusts to do the Work of The Kingdom in the earth, giving them specific responsibilities. There are Believers who gain wealth on their own and GOD will use and Bless them if they use it for His Kingdom Work. JESUS spoke Blessings on the poor and judgment on the rich (Matthew 6:1-4, 19-24, 31-34, 7:7-12, 19:16-30, 20:1-16; Luke 19:11-27 it was up to the servants to increase their masters investment in themselves; John 12:1-8)

Not believing JESUS is born of a virgin: If you do not believe that JESUS was Born of a virgin, then you do not believe that He is The Son of GOD, JESUS was Born of GOD not of man (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1-18).

Not believing JESUS rose from the dead: Romans 10:8-10 says, “If you Confess with your mouth that JESUS is the Son of GOD and Believe in your heart that GOD Raised Him from the dead, you will be Saved.” If you deny that JESUS rose from the dead than you have no basis to Believe that He Saved you from your sin! (Matthew 28:1-15; Mark 16:1-13; Luke 24:1-43; John 20:1-21:19; Romans 6:1-6, 8:10-11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Ephesians 2:4-10)

Promoting abortion: JEHOVAH GOD is the creator of Life; He created Adam from the dust of the earth and breathed into Him Life. Then He took from Adam’s essence and created Eve, then He joined them together and told them to populate the earth and take care of it. (Genesis 1-2) GOD commanded us not to murder (Exodus 20:13 the 6th Commandment) Exodus 21:22-23 is about a pregnant woman and her child. If an accidental death requires the man’s life how much more a purposeful murder by abortion?

Promoting gay marriage: JEHOVAH GOD is the creator of Life; He created Adam from the dust of the earth and breathed into Him Life. Then He took from Adam’s essence and created Eve, then He joined them together in marriage and told them to populate the earth and take care of it (Genesis 2). GOD condemns homosexuality (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:18-[26-27]-32; 1 Corinthians 6:911). In Genesis 19 we have the story of Lot in Sodom (:4-5, 8, 13-14). So GOD instituted marriage between one man and one woman and condemned homosexuality!

Promoting Islam or any other religion over Israel: Exodus 20:3-6 “You shall have no other gods before Me!” Self-explanatory! Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. all promote a different god than JEHOVAH GOD.

Promoting Socialism over Biblical teaching: Socialism is an atheistic form of government, it rejects and persecutes Christianity, Judaism, Islam and every other form of religion! Socialism and its big brother Communism give no freedoms to anyone except the ruling class themselves. Socialism, Communism and Fascism all are anti-christ governments.

Corruption In The Church! Part 2

Corruption In The Church!

Part 2

Religious Political Posturing:

All of us have known religious people, people who recite a lot of Scriptures but do not live by them. People who hold up a standard of behavior that only they are able to keep and some who hold up a standard of behavior that even they cannot live up to. (Acts 13:43-45 [in KJV religious is used instead of devout]; Galatians 1:11-17 [in KJV Religion is used in place of Judaism]; James 1:26-27) There is in the Body of CHRIST political posturing to be the one in charge, to have the prestige and power of leadership, to control how everyone behaves and how everything works. JESUS told us to be Humble and to Serve one another! (Proverbs 17:2; Matthew 20:20-28, 25:14-(21)-30; Luke 17:5-10; John 12:26; Romans 12:1, 11; Galatians 5:7-15; Ephesians 6:5-9; Colossians 2:11-23) You cannot Serve if you are not Humble. (John 13:1-17)

Idolatry:

JESUS on a cross, baby JESUS, Mary, saints, angels, false gods, idols; these are physical and spiritual things that people pray to and worship – GOD Hates that! (Exodus 20:1-6; Deuteronomy 4:15-20; Jeremiah 25:1-14; Hosea 13:4; 1 Corinthians 5:9-13, 8, 10:7, 14-22; Revelation 21:8, 22:15) Anything or concept can be an idol! Anything that we give our heart (spirit, soul and body) to above or before GOD is an idol! This is the hardest of idols and the most common in The body of CHRIST, others may not even know our heart is given to something or someone over JEHOVAH GOD!

False doctrine:

Water Baptism is not necessary, sprinkling instead of Immersion; speaking in tongues is of the devil; The HOLY SPIRIT’s Gifts stopped with the death of the apostles: you cannot know if you are saved until you die. I’m sure there are more that I am not familiar with. This is a denominational issue and you may not realize it if you do not study The Bible for yourself and understand your denominations statement of Faith. In this teaching I do not have the time to go into these individually as they need, so I am just going to share what JESUS taught.

1. Water Baptism: JESUS Himself was Baptized to fulfill Righteousness, Matthew 3:13-17.

JESUS Commanded us to Baptize new Believers, Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:14-18.

Sprinkling vs. immersion: JESUS was immersed as noted “…when He came up out of the water…”(John 3:3-7; Acts 2:36-39; Titus 3:1-7; 1 Peter 3:18-22)

2. Speaking in tongues is of the devil: JESUS never spoke in tongues publicly and never mentioned it, but He told us a lot about His SPIRIT that we was going to send to live in us.

And JESUS taught that those who denied The Power of The HOLY SPIRIT would have no forgiveness, Mark 3:28-30. The religious leaders in accusing JESUS of using the power of the devil to heal were denying The Power of GOD (The HOLY SPIRIT) thereby condemning themselves. Those who deny The HOLY SPIRIT today are doing the same to themselves.

3. The HOLY SPIRIT’s gifts are not for today, Why? (John 7:37-39, 14:15-18, 16:5-15; Acts 1:4-8) There is no teaching in The Bible that implies that The Gifts of HOLY SPIRIT ended with the death of the apostles!

Corruption In The Church! Part 1

Corruption In The Church!

Part 1

Racism:

In JESUS’ Body we have all kinds of racism; skin tone, ethnicity, language, dialect, nationality, tribe. JESUS’ Body is One Body and we must Love each member as JESUS does. The sin of racism keeps JESUS’ Body dysfunctional and ineffective! James tells us if we know to do Good and we do not do it, it is sin! (1 Corinthians 1016-17; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:1-6; James 4:11-17; 1 Peter 2:1-10)

Here is the Truth about unity (Psalm 133; Matthew 5:38-48) if this is how we are to treat non-believers and enemies, then how much more are we to treat one another with Love, Mercy and Grace, if want to receive the Blessing?

Sexual immorality of every kind:

Fornication, adultery, homosexuality, bestiality, pornography, virtual sex of every perversion, polygamy. (Exodus 20:14, 18; Leviticus 20:10-22; Matthew 5:27-32; Romans 1:18-32; Revelation 21:8, 22:15) All of these exist in The Body of CHRIST! How can JEHOVAH GOD Bless us with all this disunity and sexual immorality?

Greed:

Called covetousness in The First Covenant, it is lust. Lust for what ever we do not have or think we need. It is never having enough and doing whatever it takes to get it. (Matthew 6:19-24; Luke 12:13-21; 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 6:3-10; James 1:12-18, 4:1-10; 1 Peter 5:1-4)

Pride:

Vanity, self-aggrandizement, pride has many names, but what it means is that you think you are better and/or smarter than everyone else, so therefore you deserve special recognition and treatment. Everybody knows pride goes before a fall except the proud. (Psalm 73:1-9; Proverbs 12:9, 13:10, 16:18-19, 26:12; Daniel 4, 5:13-30 [Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar]; Mark 7:14-23; Luke 12:16-21;1 Timothy 3:6-7 ; 1 John 2:15-17) Andrew Murry, in his book Humility, said, “All sin comes through pride!”

Hatred:

There are many reasons that people hate other people, they may be personal or national or international; they may be reasonable or unreasonable but it is in your heart and it is destructive! (Matthew 5:21-26, 43-48) Hate leads to bitterness and sin! JESUS tells us to Forgive! (Matthew 5:23-26, 6:9-15; Ephesians 4:25-32; Colossians 3:12-14) Forgiveness breaks the power of hatred.

Leprosy And Cancer

Leprosy And Cancer

Leprosy* is a physically obvious disease that slowly kills the flesh and organs until a person dies from its effects.

Before modern medical science leprosy was commonly known as an unclean and contagious  disease that slowly killed people, causing those with leprosy to be rejected and exorcised from family and society. Few who had it had the wealth and power to maintain their position in society and generally became beggars, two Biblical examples of those with power to maintain their life style were Naaman, the Commanding General of the Syrian army during Elisha’s lifetime (2 Kings 5; Luke 4:27). The other is the Judean King Uzziah who lived when Isaiah was Prophet of JEHOVAH (2 Chronicles 26:18-23).

Cancer** is primarily a physically internal disease that slowly kills the body’s organs and flesh until a person dies from its effects.

Cancer was not known worldwide for many centuries because it did not manifest outwardly with few exceptions of skin cancer, which most likely would have been considered leprosy. Cancer kills secretly and silently, even in today’s modern medical environment, it goes undetected many times until it is too late to save the person. Throughout history many people died of cancer but no one knew what killed them, they just got sick and died.

Both leprosy and cancer are reflections of sin in the world, Israel and in the Church (The Body of CHRIST)! JESUS who came to take away the sins of the world healed many lepers and many who were sick of an unnamed disease. JESUS raised from the dead three people who died of an unnamed disease (Matthew 9:18-26; Luke 7:11-17; John 11:1-44), could they have died of some form of cancer, yes, but the Bible does not say.

It is easy to show that leprosy and cancer are signs of sin in the world, Israel and in The Church. Sin is a key cause of sickness, but you can get sick and not have sin in your life as a Believer because there is sin in the world and we (Believers) are still in the world and subject to it effects. All unbelievers are sinners and are therefore subject to all sickness and disease but not all sinners get diseases and die prematurely, this follows GOD’s Law of Love – GOD Loves every person who was ever conceived (John 3:16; Proverbs 15:3; Ezekiel 18:31-32, 33:10-11; Matthew 5:43-45)!

This is where I’ll get the argument – many Christians get cancer but they do not have sin in their life, some recover and some do not. This is a circular argument that has no complete or satisfactory answer for everyone. Sin like cancer can be hidden from view, in our modern liberal church some may not know they even have sin in their life, they are deceived by the immoral teachings that allow them to believe they are saved when they are not saved. Some will argue that as a Christian you cannot have sin in your life because GOD’s HOLY SPIRIT lives in Christians, while it is True that The HOLY SPIRIT lives in those who are Born Again, it is also true that Believes can have sin in their life and not all of them get sick or die prematurely. Many Christians who do not have sin in their life get sick and some die, this is also a fact! So there is no satisfactory answer to the question, “Why do Christians get sick and die?” As The disciples asked JESUS if the man born blind had sinned in the womb or if his parents had sinned was the reason he was born blind; what was JESUS’ answer? “No, it was for The Glory of GOD!” (John 9:1-3 [study the whole chapter].

JESUS said, “GO and sin no more! He said it to two specific situations that cover every situation in our lives: self-preservation and immorality (John 5:14 [study 5:1-15], 8:11 [study 8:1-12]). In John 5 JESUS asks a man who had been lame for 38 year if he wants to be healed and the man’s reply was to complain about how he could not get to the pool in time because no one helped him. Many Christians do not get healed because they complain about their situation rather than Believing (this is going to get much push back but in JESUS’ example here and in my personal experience I know this as a fact). At the end of the story JESUS tells the man, “Go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you!” JESUS clearly equates sin and sickness here and warns the man; who then goes and tells the religious leaders that it was JESUS Who Healed him (this man was so bound up in religion he could not just except what JESUS had done for him and restart his life).

In John 8 we have a story of the religious leaders bringing a woman caught in the act of adultery to test JESUS (they were sinning in this, not in that they were trying to trap JESUS but they were in violation of The Torah that said the man and the woman both were to be judged and stoned to death (Leviticus 20:10; Deuteronomy 22:22). So JESUS after convicting the religious leaders and others in the crowd who were ready to stone the woman of their sins, He asked the woman, “Woman where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you? ” She said, “No one, LORD.” JESUS said, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more!”  JESUS as The Son of GOD had the Right and The Power to forgive her, but He warned her and therefore us to stop living in (practicing) immorality!

If you want to know how to be a Christian than you have to study The Bible, whatever you believe about The Bible, It is The Word of JEHOVAH GOD that He gave to us so that we can know Him and understand His Purpose for our creation and existence! The Bible is both the First Covenant (Testament) and Second Covenant, they are The Complete Word of GOD to humanity! JESUS and the apostles only had the First Covenant to teach from, the apostles did not understand that they were living and writing the Second Covenant. Everything in the Second Covenant, even Revelations, is found in the first Covenant. There is nothing old about the First Covenant, it is Eternal and as JESUS Himself said, “Not one jot or tittle of The Torah will pass away – the earth will pass away but not GOD’s Word!” (my loose translation of Matthew 5:17-20), also study Matthew 7:24-29 to understand the importance of JESUS’ emphasis about GOD’s Word (JESUS is The Living Word of GOD, John 1:1-5, 14-18; Luke 24:27; Revelation 19:10).

In Matthew chapters 5-7 JESUS gave the greatest sermon ever spoken, The Sermon On The Mount, if you want to know how to live as a Christian than you have to study and live according to JESUS’ teachings. Especially Matthew 5-7 and John 13-17, this is during the Last Supper, John is the only one who recorded all that JESUS told the disciples on that night.

*Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by a type of bacteria, Mycobacterium leprae. The disease predominantly affects the skin and peripheral nerves. Left untreated, the disease may cause progressive and permanent disabilities. The bacteria are transmitted via droplets from the nose and mouth during close and frequent contact with untreated cases. Leprosy is curable with multidrug therapy (MDT).

**Cancer was first named around 400 BCE by the Greek physician Hippocrates, often considered the "father of medicine". He used the Greek terms karkinos and carcinoma (meaning "crab") to describe tumors, as the spreading, swollen veins reminded him of a crab's legs. The Roman physician Celsus later translated this to the Latin word cancer around 25 BCE–50 CE. Hippocrates described several kinds of cancer, referring to them by the term καρκινος (carcinos), the Greek word for 'crab' or 'crayfish', as well as carcinoma. This comes from the appearance of the cut surface of a solid malignant tumour, with "the veins stretched on all sides as the animal the crab has its feet, whence it derives its name". Since it was against Greek tradition to open the body, Hippocrates only described and made drawings of outwardly visible tumours on the skin, nose, and breasts. Treatment was based on the humour theory of four bodily fluids (black and yellow bile, blood, and phlegm). According to the patient's humour, treatment consisted of diet, blood-letting and/or laxatives.

In the 16th and 17th centuries, it became more acceptable for doctors to dissect bodies to discover the cause of death.

Love!

Love!

Psalm 39

Psalm 39

Read the whole Psalm. While this is a psalm about David’s life it is also prophet of JESUS’ Life.

:1-3 David is saying that he guarded his words so that he would not sin while the wicked were before him or while he was in the presence of the wicked. This is a lesson for us in light of JESUS’ teaching in Matthew 5:21-22; be careful how you speak to others especially  when you are being accused, whether correctly or falsely! When attacked, be still and seek The LORD through introspection before you speak (Isaiah 53:7; Mark 14:61; Luke 12:11-12). Don’t take offence so easily that you sin! (Job 2:9-10); James warns about the power of the tongue to cause harm in 3:1-12.

:4-6 In our flesh we are weak and frail, in the measure of Eternity out life is but a breath, a vapor. Moses asked the same question in Psalm 90:1-6, 12. The author of Psalm 119 asks the question in verse 84. Solomon said the same thing in Ecclesiastes 6:12. James warns us in 4:13-17.

Selah = pause and meditate.

Let us not waste our time in seeking worldly or fleshly satisfaction, Matthew 6:24, Luke 12:13-21

Psalm 139:13-18 GOD has a plan for our life!

:7-11 Where is our hope, in JESUS? Do we fight against what GOD is doing in our lives? Or, do we yield our Will and Response to our trials, tribulations, testing’s and persecutions? The Scriptures are clear that GOD proves us by trials (James 1:2-4), happenstance (Luke 13:1-5) and Judgement (Matthew 5:23-26). We should be compelled by GOD’s Love to Serve and Obey (2 Corinthians 5:14), but if not He will apply pressure to call us to repentance (2 Chronicles 7:13-14).

:12-13 Our cry to GOD should be one of sorrow for our sin and repentance from our sin (Psalm 51:1-2, 10-12, 17; Philippians 2:12-14).

Are You Ready? How Are You Living?

Are You Ready? How Are You Living?

Are you ready? Yes, no, maybe so?

Than how are you living? Are you living like you are ready?

Scripturally what does being ready look like?

Are you ready? Yes, no, maybe so?

Mark 13:32-33 “But of that day and hour no one knows (What day? Now you must read the verses before this statement, at least from verse 28, better yet from verse 24), not even the angels in Heaven nor The Son, But Only The Father. (As The Son of Man, JESUS did not need to know, His only goal in the flesh was the cross!) Take heed, Watch and Pray; for you do not know when the Time is.” (Now you should read the rest of the chapter, actually you should read the whole chapter. This is Mark’s condensed version of Matthew 24 and Luke 17.)

So what is JESUS saying? He is saying we do not know and seeking the Father will not make a difference, JESUS speaking in Acts 1:7, just before He Ascended to The Father’s Throne! “And He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know Times or Seasons (this includes other events) which The Father has put in His Own Authority!’” It is important for us to remember that GOD does reveals everything before its time but not the actual time! Like JESUS’ Birth, Death and Resurrection! These events were all prophesied but those looking for them did not all recognize them when they happened. And so it is about the End of Time, there are a lot of prophesies about what is going to happen and what the signs of them are, but we still do not know the day or the hour!

So, the question is not just are you ready, but are you comparing the events of today with the Scriptures for yourself? Not just what others say (like me) but are you studying the Scriptures yourself?

In John 8:28-32 JESUS tells us to be His disciple His Word must abide in us (not just memorization but more importantly Understanding! The Bible, especially Proverbs is full of admonitions for us to seek GOD’s Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding and Discernment! GOD tells us over and over to seek Him (Isaiah 55:6, Jeremiah 29:10-14 (This is important for this is how you interpret all Scripture to your life! JEHOVAH is talking to the Hebrew people about the punishment and His Restoration of them. When you understand the context of the Scripture Then you can apply it to your circumstance.), 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, Matthew 6:33-34)

Than how are you living? Are you living like you are ready?

Mark 13:33 “Take heed, Watch and Pray; for you do not know when the Time is.” JESUS told the disciples to watch and pray for the enemy is always at hand (Remember JESUS Himself was tempted, just after His baptism and just before His arrest, Matthew 4:1-11; Mark 1:12-13; Luke 4:1-13; Matthew 26:36-46; Mark 15:32-42; Luke 22:39-46.)

All through the Gospels JESUS told us to Watch (Matthew 24:42-43, 25:13; Mark 13:3437; Luke 12:38, 21:36).

All through the Epistles the apostles warned us to Watch (Actis 20:29-32; 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: Colossians 4:2 vigilant in NKJ = watch in KJV; 1 Thessalonians 5:4-11; 2 Timothy 4:5; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 4:7-11; Revelation 3:3).

We are told to be ready so that we are not caught unaware (Matthew 24:45-51; Luke 21:34-35; 2 Corinthians 6:11-18; Philippians 2:12-16; James 1:12-27; 1 Peter 1:13-2:3; 2 Peter 3:10-18)

Scripturally what does being ready look like?

I’ve actually answered this question in the Scriptures above, but let’s review this topic. (Matthew  7:24-29; Mark 13:28-37; John 4:22-24, 8:28-32; 15:1-17; Galatians 5:18-26; Ephesians 4:1-16, 6:10-18).

Summary

JEHOVAH GOD has Commanded us to Seek Him and His Kingdom, so that we will do the Work of His Heavenly Kingdom in the earth, overcoming temptation and sin, just as JESUS did in the flesh, until JESUS returns to establish His Earthly Kingdom for a thousand years. GOD’s Word The Bible is Clear but not so simple since we have to overcome our own fleshly desires, the temptation of the world and the sins of the devil, that are always before us; seeking to keep us from Obeying and from being Ready for JESUS’ Return!
