Leprosy And Cancer

Leprosy And Cancer

Leprosy* is a physically obvious disease that slowly kills the flesh and organs until a person dies from its effects.

Before modern medical science leprosy was commonly known as an unclean and contagious  disease that slowly killed people, causing those with leprosy to be rejected and exorcised from family and society. Few who had it had the wealth and power to maintain their position in society and generally became beggars, two Biblical examples of those with power to maintain their life style were Naaman, the Commanding General of the Syrian army during Elisha’s lifetime (2 Kings 5; Luke 4:27). The other is the Judean King Uzziah who lived when Isaiah was Prophet of JEHOVAH (2 Chronicles 26:18-23).

Cancer** is primarily a physically internal disease that slowly kills the body’s organs and flesh until a person dies from its effects.

Cancer was not known worldwide for many centuries because it did not manifest outwardly with few exceptions of skin cancer, which most likely would have been considered leprosy. Cancer kills secretly and silently, even in today’s modern medical environment, it goes undetected many times until it is to late to save the person. Throughout history many people died of cancer but no one knew what killed them, they just got sick and died.

Both leprosy and cancer are reflections of sin in the world, Israel and in the Church (The Body of CHRIST)! JESUS who came to take away the sins of the world healed many lepers and many who were sick of an unnamed disease. JESUS raised from the dead three people who died of an unnamed disease (Matthew 9:18-26; Luke 7:11-17; John 11:1-44), could they have died of some form of cancer, yes, but the Bible does not say.

It is easy to show that leprosy and cancer are signs of sin in the world, Israel and in The Church. Sin is a key cause of sickness, but you can get sick and not have sin in your life as a Believer because there is sin in the world and we (Believers) are still in the world and subject to it effects. All unbelievers are sinners and are therefore subject to all sickness and disease but not all sinners get diseases and die prematurely, this follows GOD’s Law of Love – GOD Loves every person who was ever conceived (John 3:16; Proverbs 15:3; Ezekiel 18:31-32, 33:10-11; Matthew 5:43-45)!

This is where I’ll get the argument – many Christians get cancer but they do not have sin in their life, some recover and some do not. This is a circular argument that has no complete or satisfactory answer for everyone. Sin like cancer can be hidden from view, in our modern liberal church some may not know they even have sin in their life, they are deceived by the immoral teachings that allow them to believe they are saved when they are not saved. Some will argue that as a Christian you cannot have sin in your life because GOD’s HOLY SPIRIT lives in Christians, while it is True that The HOLY SPIRIT lives in those who are Born Again, it is also true that Believes can have sin in their life and not all of them get sick or die prematurely. Many Christians who do not have sin in their life get sick and some die, this is also a fact! So there is no satisfactory answer to the question, “Why do Christians get sick and die?” As The disciples asked JESUS if the man born blind had sinned in the womb or if his parents had sinned was the reason he was born blind; what was JESUS’ answer? “No, it was for The Glory of GOD!” (John 9:1-3 [study the whole chapter].

JESUS said, “GO and sin no more! He said it to two specific situations that cover every situation in our lives: self-preservation and immorality (John 5:14 [study 5:1-15], 8:11 [study 8:1-12]). In John 5 JESUS asks a man who had been lame for 38 year if he wants to be healed and the man’s reply was to complain about how he could not get to the pool in time because no one helped him. Many Christians do not get healed because they complain about their situation rather than Believing (this is going to get much push back but in JESUS’ example here and in my personal experience I know this as a fact). At the end of the story JESUS tells the man, “Go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you!” JESUS clearly equates sin and sickness here and warns the man; who then goes and tells the religious leaders that it was JESUS Who Healed him (this man was so bound up in religion he could not just except what JESUS had done for him and restart his life).

In John 8 we have a story of the religious leaders bringing a woman caught in the act of adultery to test JESUS (they were sinning in this, not in that they were trying to trap JESUS but they were in violation of The Torah that said the man and the woman both were to be judged and stoned to death (Leviticus 20:10; Deuteronomy 22:22). So JESUS after convicting the religious leaders and others in the crowd who were ready to stone the woman of their sins, He asked the woman, “Woman where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you? ” She said, “No one, LORD.” JESUS said, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more!”  JESUS as The Son of GOD had the Right and The Power to forgive her, but He warned her and therefore us to stop living in (practicing) immorality!

If you want to know how to be a Christian than you have to study The Bible, whatever you believe about The Bible, It is The Word of JEHOVAH GOD that He gave to us so that we can know Him and understand His Purpose for our creation and existence! The Bible is both the First Covenant (Testament) and Second Covenant, they are The Complete Word of GOD to humanity! JESUS and the apostles only had the First Covenant to teach from, the apostles did not understand that they were living and writing the Second Covenant. Everything in the Second Covenant, even Revelations, is found in the first Covenant. There is nothing old about the First Covenant, it is Eternal and as JESUS Himself said, “Not one jot or tittle of The Torah will pass away – the earth will pass away but not GOD’s Word!” (my loose translation of Matthew 5:17-20), also study Matthew 7:24-29 to understand the importance of JESUS’ emphasis about GOD’s Word (JESUS is The Living Word of GOD, John 1:1-5, 14-18; Luke 24:27; Revelation 19:10).

In Matthew chapters 5-7 JESUS gave the greatest sermon ever spoken, The Sermon On The Mount, if you want to know how to live as a Christian than you have to study and live according to JESUS’ teachings. Especially Matthew 5-7 and John 13-17, this is during the Last Supper, John is the only one who recorded all that JESUS told the disciples on that night.

*Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by a type of bacteria, Mycobacterium leprae. The disease predominantly affects the skin and peripheral nerves. Left untreated, the disease may cause progressive and permanent disabilities. The bacteria are transmitted via droplets from the nose and mouth during close and frequent contact with untreated cases. Leprosy is curable with multidrug therapy (MDT).

**Cancer was first named around 400 BCE by the Greek physician Hippocrates, often considered the "father of medicine". He used the Greek terms karkinos and carcinoma (meaning "crab") to describe tumors, as the spreading, swollen veins reminded him of a crab's legs. The Roman physician Celsus later translated this to the Latin word cancer around 25 BCE–50 CE. Hippocrates described several kinds of cancer, referring to them by the term καρκινος (carcinos), the Greek word for 'crab' or 'crayfish', as well as carcinoma. This comes from the appearance of the cut surface of a solid malignant tumour, with "the veins stretched on all sides as the animal the crab has its feet, whence it derives its name". Since it was against Greek tradition to open the body, Hippocrates only described and made drawings of outwardly visible tumours on the skin, nose, and breasts. Treatment was based on the humour theory of four bodily fluids (black and yellow bile, blood, and phlegm). According to the patient's humour, treatment consisted of diet, blood-letting and/or laxatives.

In the 16th and 17th centuries, it became more acceptable for doctors to dissect bodies to discover the cause of death.

Psalm 39

Psalm 39

Read the whole Psalm. While this is a psalm about David’s life it is also prophet of JESUS’ Life.

:1-3 David is saying that he guarded his words so that he would not sin while the wicked were before him or while he was in the presence of the wicked. This is a lesson for us in light of JESUS’ teaching in Matthew 5:21-22; be careful how you speak to others especially  when you are being accused, whether correctly or falsely! When attacked, be still and seek The LORD through introspection before you speak (Isaiah 53:7; Mark 14:61; Luke 12:11-12). Don’t take offence so easily that you sin! (Job 2:9-10); James warns about the power of the tongue to cause harm in 3:1-12.

:4-6 In our flesh we are weak and frail, in the measure of Eternity out life is but a breath, a vapor. Moses asked the same question in Psalm 90:1-6, 12. The author of Psalm 119 asks the question in verse 84. Solomon said the same thing in Ecclesiastes 6:12. James warns us in 4:13-17.

Selah = pause and meditate.

Let us not waste our time in seeking worldly or fleshly satisfaction, Matthew 6:24, Luke 12:13-21

Psalm 139:13-18 GOD has a plan for our life!

:7-11 Where is our hope, in JESUS? Do we fight against what GOD is doing in our lives? Or, do we yield our Will and Response to our trials, tribulations, testing’s and persecutions? The Scriptures are clear that GOD proves us by trials (James 1:2-4), happenstance (Luke 13:1-5) and Judgement (Matthew 5:23-26). We should be compelled by GOD’s Love to Serve and Obey (2 Corinthians 5:14), but if not He will apply pressure to call us to repentance (2 Chronicles 7:13-14).

:12-13 Our cry to GOD should be one of sorrow for our sin and repentance from our sin (Psalm 51:1-2, 10-12, 17; Philippians 2:12-14).

Are You Ready? How Are You Living?

Are You Ready? How Are You Living?

Are you ready? Yes, no, maybe so?

Than how are you living? Are you living like you are ready?

Scripturally what does being ready look like?

Are you ready? Yes, no, maybe so?

Mark 13:32-33 “But of that day and hour no one knows (What day? Now you must read the verses before this statement, at least from verse 28, better yet from verse 24), not even the angels in Heaven nor The Son, But Only The Father. (As The Son of Man, JESUS did not need to know, His only goal in the flesh was the cross!) Take heed, Watch and Pray; for you do not know when the Time is.” (Now you should read the rest of the chapter, actually you should read the whole chapter. This is Mark’s condensed version of Matthew 24 and Luke 17.)

So what is JESUS saying? He is saying we do not know and seeking the Father will not make a difference, JESUS speaking in Acts 1:7, just before He Ascended to The Father’s Throne! “And He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know Times or Seasons (this includes other events) which The Father has put in His Own Authority!’” It is important for us to remember that GOD does reveals everything before its time but not the actual time! Like JESUS’ Birth, Death and Resurrection! These events were all prophesied but those looking for them did not all recognize them when they happened. And so it is about the End of Time, there are a lot of prophesies about what is going to happen and what the signs of them are, but we still do not know the day or the hour!

So, the question is not just are you ready, but are you comparing the events of today with the Scriptures for yourself? Not just what others say (like me) but are you studying the Scriptures yourself?

In John 8:28-32 JESUS tells us to be His disciple His Word must abide in us (not just memorization but more importantly Understanding! The Bible, especially Proverbs is full of admonitions for us to seek GOD’s Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding and Discernment! GOD tells us over and over to seek Him (Isaiah 55:6, Jeremiah 29:10-14 (This is important for this is how you interpret all Scripture to your life! JEHOVAH is talking to the Hebrew people about the punishment and His Restoration of them. When you understand the context of the Scripture Then you can apply it to your circumstance.), 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, Matthew 6:33-34)

Than how are you living? Are you living like you are ready?

Mark 13:33 “Take heed, Watch and Pray; for you do not know when the Time is.” JESUS told the disciples to watch and pray for the enemy is always at hand (Remember JESUS Himself was tempted, just after His baptism and just before His arrest, Matthew 4:1-11; Mark 1:12-13; Luke 4:1-13; Matthew 26:36-46; Mark 15:32-42; Luke 22:39-46.)

All through the Gospels JESUS told us to Watch (Matthew 24:42-43, 25:13; Mark 13:3437; Luke 12:38, 21:36).

All through the Epistles the apostles warned us to Watch (Actis 20:29-32; 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: Colossians 4:2 vigilant in NKJ = watch in KJV; 1 Thessalonians 5:4-11; 2 Timothy 4:5; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 4:7-11; Revelation 3:3).

We are told to be ready so that we are not caught unaware (Matthew 24:45-51; Luke 21:34-35; 2 Corinthians 6:11-18; Philippians 2:12-16; James 1:12-27; 1 Peter 1:13-2:3; 2 Peter 3:10-18)

Scripturally what does being ready look like?

I’ve actually answered this question in the Scriptures above, but let’s review this topic. (Matthew  7:24-29; Mark 13:28-37; John 4:22-24, 8:28-32; 15:1-17; Galatians 5:18-26; Ephesians 4:1-16, 6:10-18).

Summary

JEHOVAH GOD has Commanded us to Seek Him and His Kingdom, so that we will do the Work of His Heavenly Kingdom in the earth, overcoming temptation and sin, just as JESUS did in the flesh, until JESUS returns to establish His Earthly Kingdom for a thousand years. GOD’s Word The Bible is Clear but not so simple since we have to overcome our own fleshly desires, the temptation of the world and the sins of the devil, that are always before us; seeking to keep us from Obeying and from being Ready for JESUS’ Return!

Sin In The Church!

Sin In The Church!

Deuteronomy 31:9-13 “So Moses wrote this Law and delivered it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who bore The Ark of The Covenant of JEHOVAH and to all the elders of Israel. And Moses commanded them, saying, ‘At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of release(the year of Jubilee), at the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), when all Israel come to appear before JEHOVAH your GOD in  the place which He chooses, you shall read this Law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together men and women and little ones and the sojourner who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to Fear JEHOVAH your GOD and carefully observe all the words of this Law, and that their children,  who have not known it, may hear and learn to Fear JEHOVAH your GOD as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.’”

Just as Israel was called to teach every generation of the people, young and old The Word of GOD so that they learned to Fear JEHOVAH, so the Church is to teach all the people, young and old so that they lean The Word of GOD and learn to Fear JEHOVAH.

The Purpose of teaching The Word of GOD is so  that everyone will understand both GOD’s Love and His Justice! (John 3:14-21, 5:37-47; Luke 12:4-7, 13-21)

Deuteronomy 31:14-22 “Then JEHOVAH said to Moses, ‘Behold (pay attention), the days approach when you must die; call Joshua and present yourselves in the Tabernacle of Meeting, that I may inaugurate him.’ So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves in the Tabernacle of Meeting. Now JEHOVAH appeared at the Tabernacle in a pillar of cloud and the pillar of cloud stood above the door of the Tabernacle. And JEHOVAH said to Moses, ‘Behold, you will die and join your ancestors; and this people will rise and play the harlot with the gods of the foreigners of the land, where they go to be among them and they will forsake Me and break My Covenant which I have given them. Then My Anger shall be aroused against them in that day, and I will forsake them and I will hide My face from them and they shall be consumed. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, “Have not these evils come upon us because our GOD is not among us?” And I will surely hide My face in that day because of all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods. Now therefore write down this Song (Deuteronomy 32:1-43) for yourselves and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this Song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel. When I have brought them in the land flowing with milk and honey, of which I swore to their fathers and they have eaten and filled themselves and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods and serve them and they will provoke Me and break My Covenant. Then it shall be, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify against them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants, for I know the inclination of their behavior today, even before I  have brought them to the land which I swore to give them.’ Therefore Moses wrote this Song the same day and taught it to the children of Israel.” (Jeremiah 29:10-14; 2 Chronicles 7:12-14)

What does the Church do today, we have Sunday morning and evening services, mid-week prayer or Bible study meetings, home group meetings and what are we teaching the people? Doctrine, prophesy and theology, we concentrate on subjects based on a Scripture or two (I do this also); the children of Israel had the Torah (Law), it was the center of their culture, education and personal lifestyle, yet they sinned. We have the first Covenant and the second Covenant, but do we read it for the sake of learning and understanding the full picture of GOD’s teaching for how we should live and serve Him and Him only and fully surrendered to His Will and Purpose!? As Pastor Jack Hibbs says, “You better know your Bible!”

The Church today is no different than the people of Israel have been through history. Disobeying GOD and following fleshly teachings! Historically the Church has done worse things than Israel, The Crusades sponsored by the Catholic Church attacked both Muslims and Jews in the Holy Land in the Name of JESUS. For centuries The Bible was spoken in a language (Latin) that the common people did not understand, and many who tried to publish The Bible in their native language were persecuted and murdered! The Church broke up into different groups of interpretation and theology and began persecuting each other, this led to the Inquisition and other religious wars. Instead of preaching the Gospel the church started forcing conversion upon people groups, killing and torturing those who resisted. The Church has divided itself by interpretation of doctrine, condemning others who do not believe exactly what they believe, rather than teaching the Whole Bible! Today the Church has incorporated many false doctrines that are opposed to the Word of GOD!

The earliest Church had the same problem (Acts 11:1-18, 15:1-35) the Jewish religious believers tried to get the Gentile believers to follow the Torah which they had failed to follow themselves.

So what is to be done? We need to stop worrying about time during our meetings, we need to take the time to read and discuss whole chapters or sections of Scripture and have time for questions! We need to encourage believers to read the Bible, not in broken up sections to fulfill a reading time requirement; but in whole chapters and whole books, then to think about what they read and ask The HOLY SPIRIT to teach them what HE wants them to know! We need to teach on the subjects of life based on what the whole Bible teaches (of course this requires the pastor or teacher to spend much more time in study and prayer) not just a couple of Scriptures. Our meetings are too focused on feelings rather than what The HOLY SPIRIT is wanting to do in people’s lives, sometimes there must be sorrow over sin (personal, corporate and national) so that True Repentance can take place in the person, the family, the Body and the nation! We have to stop teaching just the blessings and start teaching the Requirements to receive the Blessings!

Study the story of Hezekiah in 2 Chronicles 29-32, how he called the children of Israel to Repentance and Restored the Worship of JEHOVAH. It takes personal integrity and motivation to accomplish what GOD Calls us all to do: to maintain a Right Relationship with GOD; unlike Hezekiah, we have GOD’s HOLY SPIRIT living in us to Motivate and Instruct us so that we can and do Obey and Fulfill GOD’s Call and Purpose for us and those who we influence (Philippians 2)!

The Crucifixion And The Resurrection Of JESUS!

The Crucifixion And Resurrection Of JESUS!

The Crucifixion and Resurrection happened at Passover: Exodus 12:1-28; Leviticus 23:4-8; Numbers 9:2-14, 28:16-25; Deuteronomy 16:1-8; The month of Abib or Nissan (Esther 3:7)

is in the spring, every month of the Hebrew calendar starts on the new moon, and is 30 days, the lunar cycle. Hebrew days start and end at 6PM each day, so today at 6PM this day will end and tomorrow will begin.

The month of Nissan in the year 34 AD (3959 DSS) started on March 9, JESUS was crucified on Wednesday March 24 (Nissan 14). JESUS rose from the grave on Sunday March 28 (Nissan 18). Nissan 15 and 22 were Holy Convocations (Sabbaths) when no work was to be done; these were in addition to the regular weekly Sabbath.

JESUS was in the grave Wednesday night and Thursday day (1st night and day), Thursday night and Friday day (2nd night and day), Friday night and Saturday day (3rd night and day). So JESUS was Crucified on Wednesday, Thursday was a Special Sabbath, Friday was a preparation day for Saturday the weekly Sabbath, JESUS rose from the dead on Sunday, the first day of the week.

The Crucifixion!

In Obedience to His Father’s Will JESUS came in the flesh to live a sinless Life and take our sins upon Himself! (John 1:6-14, 29-30; 3:15-17; 2 Corinthians 5:20-21))

What do the Crucifixion and the Resurrection mean for us?

Our sins are removed, washed in The Blood of JESUS so that JEHOVAH GOD, our Heavenly Father, no longer sees them; when we ask for Forgiveness and Repent which means stop sinning and live Righteous before and Holy to GOD! (Galatians 2:20-21; Ephesians 2:1-13; 1 Peter 1:13-2:3; read James 1:12-18)

It means Eternal Salvation in the earth and in The Kingdom of GOD in Heaven! It’s not just in this life; this life is the Spiritual School to prepare us for Eternity! (1 Timothy 4:12-16, 2 Timothy 2)

So what is Salvation? It is the Forgiveness of our sins and being made Righteous in GOD by JESUS CHRIST! (2 Corinthians 5:20-21; Galatians 2:20-21)

Salvation is the Great Commission that every Christian should be involved in at some level! (Romans 10)

The Crucifixion Of JESUS!

The Crucifixion Of JESUS!

Nissan 15 and 22 were Holy Convocations (Sabbaths) when no work was to be done; these were in addition to the regular weekly Sabbaths.

The Crucifixion!

In Obedience to His Father’s Will JESUS came in the flesh to live a sinless Life and take our sins upon Himself! (John 1:6-14, 29-30; 3:15-17; 2 Corinthians 5:20-21))

Tuesday evening (Wednesday by Jewish time keeping) JESUS celebrates the Passover with his twelve disciples. (Matthew 26:17-35; Mark 14:12-31; Luke 22:1-38; John 13:1-17:26)

Matthew 26;36-46 JESUS prays in the Garden of Gethsemane. (Mark 14:32-42; Luke 22:39-46)

Matthew 26:47-56 JESUS is arrested. (Mark 14:43-52; Luke 22:47-53; John 18:1-11)

Matthew 26:57-27:26 JESUS’ trial, Peter’s denil of JESUS, Barabbas set free in place of JESUS. (Mark 14:53-15:15; Luke 22:54-23:25; John 18:12-40)

Matthew 27:27-44 JESUS Tortured by the Romans and Crucified. JESUS was on the cross from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesday. (Mark 15:16-32; Luke 23:26-43; John 19:1-37)

Matthew 27:45-61 JESUS dies and is buried; JESUS was buried by 6:00pm on Wednesday. (Mark 33-48; Luke 23:44-56; John 19:38-42)

What else happened because of The Crucifixion when CHRIST died?

Matthew 27:50-51The veil in the Tempel (Exodus 26:31-35) separating The Holy Place and The Most Holy Place was torn in two from top to bottom! (Mark 15:37-38; Luke 23:44-46; Hebrews 6:17-20, 9:3, 10:19-22)

JESUS Rose from the grave! JESUS was in the grave Wednesday night and Thursday day (1st night and day), Thursday night and Friday day (2nd night and day), Friday night and Saturday day (3rd night and day). So JESUS was Crucified on Wednesday, Thursday was a Special Sabbath, Friday was a preparation day for Saturday (the regular weekly Sabbath), JESUS rose from the dead on Sunday, the first day of the week.

What does the Crucifixion mean for us?

Our sins are removed, washed in The Blood of JESUS so that JEHOVAH GOD, our Heavenly Father, no longer sees them; when we ask for Forgiveness and Repent; stop sinning and live Righteous before and Holy to GOD! (Galatians 2:20-21; Ephesians 2:1-13; 1 Peter 1:13-2:3; James 1:12-18)

Deuteronomy 28 Blessings and Curses!

Deuteronomy 28

The Blessings And The Curses!*

The Warnings!

:1-2 “And it shall be, if you diligently obey the voice of JEHOVAH your ELOHIM, to guard** to do all His commands which I (Moses) command you today, that JEHOVAH your ELOHIM shall set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these Blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of JEHOVAH your ELOHIM:”

:14-15 “And do not turn aside from any of the Words which I Am Commanding you today, right or left to go after other mighty ones (idols, gods) to serve them. And it shall be if you do not Obey the voice of your ELOHIM, to guard to do all His Commands and His Laws which I (Moses) command you today, than all these Curses shall come upon you and overtake you:”

:45-46 “And all these Curses shall come upon you and they shall pursue and overtake you until you are destroyed because you did not Obey the voice of JEHOVAH your ELOHIM to guard His Commands and His Laws which He Commanded you. And they shall be upon you for a Sign and a Wonder and on your seed (descendants) forever.”

:58-59 “If you do not guard to do all The Words of This Torah that are written in this book, to Fear this Esteemed and Awesome Name, JEHOVAH your ELOHIM,  then JEHOVAH shall bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary Plagues, Great and Lasting Plagues and Grievous and Lasting Sicknesses.”

The Blessings!

3-13 “Blessed are you in the city and Blessed are you in the field. Blessed are you in the fruit of your body and in the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your livestock – the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed is your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed are you when you come in and blessed are you when you go out. JEHOVAH causes your enemies which rise before you to be smitten before your face – they come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. JEHOVAH Commands the Blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand and shall Bless you in the land which JEHOVAH your ELOHIM is giving you. JEHOVAH does establish you as a set-apart (holy) people to Himself, as he has sworn to you, if you guard the Commands of JEHOVAH your ELOHIM and walk in His Ways. And all peoples of the earth shall see that The Name of JEHAVAH is called upon you and they shall be afraid of you. And JEHOVAH shall make you to have plenty of what is good, in all the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, in the land of which JEHOVAH swore to your fathers to give you. JEHOVAH opens to you His Good Treasure, the heavens to give the rain to your land in its season and to Bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lent to many nations, but you do not borrow. And JEHOVAH shall make you he head and not the tail, and you shall be only on top and not be beneath, if you Obey the Commands of JEHOVAH your ELOHIM, which I (Moses) command you today to guard and do.” (Matthew 6:25-34; John 8:29-32)

The Curses!

:16-44, 47-68 “Cursed are you in the city and cursed are you in the field. Cursed is your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed is the fruit of your body and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Cursed are you when you come in and cursed are you when you go out (:3-6). JEHOVAH sends on you the Curse, the Confusion and the Rebuke in all that you set your hand to do (:8), until you are Destroyed and until you Perish quickly, because of the evil in your doings by which you have forsaken Me. JEHOVAH makes the Plague cling to you until He has Consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. JEHOVAH strikes you with Wasting Disease and with Inflammation and with Burning and with Extreme Heat (Revelation 16:8-9) and with the Sword and with Blight and with Mildew; and they shall pursue you until you Perish. And your heavens which are over your head shall be Bronze and the earth which is under you Iron. JEHOVAH makes the rain of your land Powder and Dust; from the heavens it comes down on you until you are destroyed. JEHOVAH causes you to be Defeated before your Enemies – you go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become a Horror to all the reigns (kingdoms) of the earth (:7); your carcasses shall be Food for all the birds of the heavens (Ezekiel 39:17-20; Revelation 19:17-21 and the beasts of the earth, with no one to frighten them away. JEHOVAH will strike you with the boils of Mitsrayim (Egypt, Exodus 9:8-11) with tumors, with scab and with the itch, from which you are unable to be healed. JEHOVAH shall Strike you with Madness and Blindness and Bewilderment of Heart; and you shall be Grouping at noon, as a blind man groups in darkness (Revelation 16:10-11) and not prosper in your ways; and you shall be Depressed and Plundered all the days with no one to Save you. You shall become engaged to a wife, but another man does lie with her; you build a house , but do not dwell in it. You plant a vineyard, but do not use its fruit. Your ox is slaughtered before your eyes, but you do not eat it; your donkey is violently taken from before you and it is not given back to you; your sheep are given to your enemies with on one to save them. Your sons and your daughters are given to another people and your eyes look and fail for them all day long and your hand powerless. A people you have not know eat the fruit of your land and all your labors; and you shall be Oppressed and Crushed all the days. And you shall be maddened because of the sight which your eyes see. JEHOVAH strikes you in the knees and on the legs with evil boils of which you are unable to be healed and from the sole of your foot to the top of your head. JEHOVAH brings you and the sovereign whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known and there you will serve other mighty ones, wood and stone. Thus you shall become an Astonishment, a Proverb and a Mockery among all the peoples to which JEHOVAH drives you. You take much seed out into the field but gather little in, for the locust consumes it. You plant vineyards and shall labor, but you neither drink of the wine nor gather, for the worm eats it (Joel1:4-12). You have olive trees in all your border, but you do not anoint with oil, for your olives drop off. You bring forth sons and daughters, but they are not with you, for they go into captivity. Locusts possess all your trees and the fruit of the ground (Exodus 10:12-14). The sojourner who resides among you rises higher and higher above you, but you come down lower and lower; he lends to you, but you do not lend to him; he is the head and you are the tail….Because you did not Serve JEHOVAH your ELOHIM with Joy and Gladness of Heart for all the Plenty, you shall Serve your Enemies whom JEHOVAH sends against you, in Hunger and in Thirst and in Nakedness and in Need of all and he shall put a Yoke of Iron on your Neck until he has Destroyed you. JEHOVAH shall bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as an eagle flies, a nation whose language you shall not understand, a fierce-looking nation which shall no regard for the elderly nor show favor for the young. And they shall eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land until you are destroyed; they leave no grain nor new wine, nor oil nor the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you. And they shall besiege you at all your gates till your high and fenced walls, in which you are trusting, come down in all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates in all your land which JEHOVAH your ELOHIM has given you. And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom JEHOVAH your ELOHIM has given you, in the siege and distress in which your enemies distress you. The man among you who is tender (sensitive) and who is very delicate (refined), his eye is evil (Lit. his eye shall be evil) against his brother, against the wife of his bosom and against the rest of his children whom he leaves behind, against giving any of them the flesh of his children that he eats, because it is all that has been left to him (he has nothing left) in the siege and distress with which your enemy distresses you in all your gates. The tender (sensitive) and delicate (refined) woman among you, who has not tried to set the sole of her foot on the ground because of her delicateness and tenderness, her eye (Lit. her eye shall be evil toward) is evil against the husband of her bosom and against her son and against her daughter and against her seed (afterbirth or placenta) which comes out from between her feet; and her children whom she bears for she eats them in concealment for lack of all (everything), in the siege and distress with which your enemy distresses you in all your gates (2 Kings 6:24-30)…And He shall bring back on you all the diseases of Mitsrayim, of which you were afraid and they shall cling to you, also every sickness and every plague that is written in the Book of this Torah (Revelation 22:18-19), JEHOVAH does bring upon you until you are destroyed! And you shall be left with few men, although you had become as numerous as the stars of the heavens, because you did not Obey the voice of JEHOVAH your ELOHIM.  And it shall be that as JEHOVAH rejoiced*** over you to do you Good and Increase you (Zephaniah 3:16-17), so JEHOVAH does rejoice over you to destroy you and lay waste; and you shall be plucked (torn) from off the land which you go to possess. And JOHOVAH shall Scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other (this happened in 70AD), and there you shall serve other mighty ones, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone. And among those nations you are to find no Rest, nor have a Resting place for the sole of your foot. But there JEHOVAH shall give you a Trembling heart and Failing eyes and Sorrow of Being. And your Life shall be Hanging in Suspense before you and you shall Fear night and day and not be certain of your Life. In the morning you say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ and at evening you say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of the Fear of your heart, with which you Fear and because of the sight which your eyes see. And JEHOVAH shall bring you back to Mitsrayim in ships, by a way of which I said to you, ‘You are never to see it again (Deuteronomy 17:16).’  And there you shall be Sold to your enemies as male and female Slaves, but no one to buy (no one will buy you).”

* There are 8 verses of Warnings;10 verses of Blessings; and 50 verses of Curses!

** Graur = Observe

***Rejoice, verse 68 rejoiced and rejoice are the same Hebrew word, sûws or sîys = a primary root; to be bright, i.e. cheerful:-be glad, x greatly, joy, make mirth, rejoice.

This is an interesting concept since JEHOVAH says He takes no pleasure in the death of a sinner (Ezekiel 18:32, 33:11)

What Is GOD's Name?

What Is GOD’s Name!

Exodus 3:13-15 GOD gives us His Name: “And Moses said to ELOHIM, ‘See, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, “The ELOHIM of your fathers has sent me to you” and they say to me, “What is His Name?” what shall I say to them?’ And ELOHIM said to Moses, ‘I Am that which I Am!’ And He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, “I Am, has sent me to you!” And ELOHIM said further to Moses, ‘Thus you are to say to the children of Israel,  JEHOVAH ELOHIM of your fathers, The ELOHIM of Abraham, The ELOHIM of Issac and The ELOHIM of Jacob, has sent me to you: This is My Name Forever and this is My Remembrance to all generations.’”

Exodus 34:5-7 GOD describes Himself: “And JEHOVAH came down in the cloud and stood with him (Moses) there and proclaimed The Name JEHOVAH! And JEHOVAH passed before him and proclaimed, ‘JEHOVAH, JEHOVAH, an El, Compassionate and showing Favor, Patient, and Great in Loving-Commitment and Truth, Watching over loving-commitment for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, but by no means leaving unpunished, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and fourth generation!’”

Deuteronomy 28:58-59 Fear GOD’s Glorious and Powerful Name: “If you do not guard to do all The Words of This Torah that are written in this book, to Fear His Esteemed and Awesome Name, JEHOVAH your ELOHIM, then JEHOVAH shall bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues, great and lasting plagues and grievous and lasting sicknesses!”

Names are important to GOD and JESUS; we are saved only in and by The Name of JESUS (Acts 4:12). In fact GOD has given every human being a name, not the name our family or friends give us, but one He will reveal to us when JESUS returns (Revelation 2:17).

Therefore we should be Humble when we proclaim the Name of JEHOVAH or JESUS, knowing Who They Are and what they have Called us to! The first three Commandments are about honoring GOD: No other gods, worship no idols or images of anything, and Do Not dishonor GOD’s Name, JEHOVAH. Exodus 20:1-7 “…You do not bring The Name of JEHOVAH your ELOHIM to naught (You shall not take The Name of JEHOVAH, your GOD in vain), for JEHOVAH does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.” Also remember, JESUS warned us against blaspheming His SPIRIT, The HOLY SPIRIT, Mark 3:22-30 “…‘Truly, I say to you all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men and whatever blasphemes they speak, but he who blasphemes against The HOLY SPIRIT has no forgiveness forever, but is subject to everlasting judgment,’ because they said, ‘He has an unclean spirit.’”

The Bible tells us from Genesis through Revelation to call on The Name of GOD, his Name is JEHOVAH! JEHOVAH is The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit!

Isaiah 1:18

Isaiah 1:18

The Scriptures

Most Christians are familiar with Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” says      יהוה (JEHOVAH). “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

But do you understand where JEHOVAH was coming from when He made that statement to Israel?

First JEHOVAH was speaking through His prophet Isaiah to His people Israel, now that we know that we can move to the second point, Why? Why did JEHOVAH have to challenge the Israeli people to reason over their sin with Himself? That is what the first seventeen verses tell us: 1 The vision of Yeshayahu son of Amots, which he saw concerning Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim in the days of Uzziyahu, Yotham, Aḥaz, Ḥizqiyahu sovereigns of Yehuḏah.

2 Hear, O heavens, and listen, O earth! For יהוה has spoken, “I have reared and brought up children, but they have transgressed against Me.

3 An ox knows its owner and a donkey its master’s crib – Yisra’ĕl does not know, My people have not understood.”

4 Alas, sinning nation, a people loaded with crookedness, a seed of evil-doers, sons acting corruptly! They have forsaken יהוה, they have provoked the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, they went backward.

5 Why should you be stricken anymore? You continue in apostasy! All the head is sick, and all the heart faints.

6 From the sole of the foot, to the head, there is no soundness in it – wounds and bruises and open sores; they have not been closed or bound up or soothed with ointment.

7 Your land is laid waste, your cities are burned with fire, strangers devour your land in your presence. And it is laid waste, as overthrown by strangers.

8 And the daughter of Tsiyon is left as a booth in a vineyard, as a hut in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

9 Unless יהוה of hosts had left to us a small remnant, we would have become like Seḏom, we would have been made like Amorah.

10 Hear the word of יהוה, you rulers of Seḏom; give ear to the Torah of our Elohim, you people of Amorah!

11 “Of what use to Me are your many slaughterings?” declares יהוה. “I have had enough of ascending offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs or goats.

12 “When you come to appear before Me, who has required this from your hand, to trample My courtyards?

13 “Stop bringing futile offerings, incense, it is an abomination to Me. New Moons, Sabbaths, the calling of gatherings – I am unable to bear unrighteousness and assembly.

14 “My Being hates your New Moons and your appointed times, they are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.

15 “And when you spread out your hands, I hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I do not hear. Your hands have become filled with blood.

16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Stop doing evil!

17 “Learn to do good! Seek right-ruling, reprove the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.

JEHOVAH is telling the people that they do not understand what He requires of them and that their religious exercises are useless, even offensive! Their only alternative is to come to Him, to Seek Him, to Understand what He requires of them, “reason together”.

Christians love to quote verse eighteen but generally do not know or understand the rest of the chapter. Christians today want the Promise of Forgiveness but not the Requirement of Repentance. We love to claim JEHOVAH’s Forgiveness through JESUS CHRIST but we tend to ignore the Repentance part of Salvation. Repentance is not saying a Prayer!

In the rest of Isaiah chapter one (verses 19-31) GOD tells the people why He is rejecting them and what they have to do to be restored: 19 “If you submit and obey, you shall eat the good of the land;

20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword,” for the mouth of יהוה has spoken.

21 How the steadfast city has become a whore! I have filled it with right-ruling; righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers.

22 Your silver has become dross; your wine is mixed with water.

23 Your rulers are stubborn, and companions of thieves. Everyone loves bribes and runs after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, nor does the cause of the widow reach them.

24 Therefore the Master declares, יהוה of hosts, the Mighty One of Yisra’ĕl, “Ah, I shall be eased of My adversaries, and I shall be avenged of My enemies.

25 “And I shall turn My hand against you, and shall refine your dross as with lye, and shall remove all your alloy.

26 “And I shall give back your judges as at the first, and your counsellors as at the beginning. After this you shall be called the city of righteousness, a steadfast city.”

27 Tsiyon shall be ransomed with right-ruling, and her returning ones with righteousness.

28 And the destruction of transgressors and of sinners is together, and those who forsake יהוה shall be consumed.

29 For they shall be ashamed of the terebinth trees which you have desired. And you shall be embarrassed because of the gardens which you have chosen.

30 For you shall be as a terebinth whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water.

31 The strong shall be for tow*, and his work for a spark. And both shall burn together, with no one to extinguish.

*tow: in The Defined KJB tow is defined as “the course and broken fibers of flax, hemp, etc. prepared for spinning.” The NKJV uses “tinder”.

But Christians say, “I am Born Again, washed in JESUS’ Blood and filled with The HOLY SPIRIT, I am Saved, not by Works but by Faith through Grace!” And that is true but that is only the beginning. When you became a Christian you confessed your sins to GOD (you did not know His Name, JEHOVAH, then) you stopped sinning, Right? That is what Repentance means: to change your mind or direction. If you are born again you are supposed to stop sinning. You know: stop lying, cheating, stealing, murdering, being immoral (sexually and behaviorally), stop being socially weak (not standing up for JESUS and The Gospel – JESUS said if we could not stand up for Him in our present sinful world, He would not stand up for us when He Returns Mark 8:34-38).

Many Christians will say, “That seems harsh, I don’t want people rejecting me just because I am a Christian.” That is what JESUS told us would happen in the first part of The Sermon On The Mount, Matthew 5:3-12 The Blessings (Be Attitudes). If you want to know how JESUS said we should live as Christians study The Sermon On The Mount, Matthew chapters 5-7.

JEHOVAH specifically told the Hebrew people  how He wanted them to Live and Serve Him. JESUS specifically tells us how He expects us to Live and Serve Him! In the Gospel of John He told two people to stop sinning: John 5:1-15 JESUS healed a man who had been lame for 38 years, then He told the man to “…Sin no more, lest a worst thing come upon you.” In John 8:1-12 He told the woman caught in adultery, “…Has no one condemned you?...Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.” This is a Command to all of us!

Can you imagine, JESUS telling us there are requirements (beside going to church regularly and paying tithes or making offerings regularly). Well He Did! When we become a Christian, JEHOVAH GOD and His Son JESUS expect us to stop sinning, (Matthew 7:21-29; John 14:19-24) that is why They sent Their SPIRIT (Holy Spirit) to live in us (1 Corinthians 3:16-17), to guide us, council us, comfort us, convict us (if we have sin), to teach us, to bring forth His Fruit and Gifts (these are so we can do the work of JEHOVAH’s Heavenly Kingdom in the earth).(John 14:15-18, 25-31, 16:5-15).

JESUS told us in Mark 8:34-38 that we have to lay down our life and take up our cross, like He did (Luke 22:39-46). What was JESUS’ cross, that in Obedience to the Will of His Father He had to become sin (2 Corinthians 5:21) and take our punishment for us so that we can be Saved! So what is our cross? To proclaim The Gospel everywhere, to get people Saved, Baptized and Discipled into His Kingdom! (The Great Commission! Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:14-18)

This is why many Christians ignore Philippians 2:12-16, where Paul tells us that we have to participate in The Kingdom, we have to Work Out our Salvation, not Work to Earn our Salvation, but to Work at Keeping it!

In The Gospels JESUS told us things we Have To Do and things we are Not To Do! In every Epistle we are told To Do certain things and Not To Do certain things. It is our Responsibility, that is why we are told to Persevere, Endure To The End and Overcome, knowing that our Works will be Judged (1 Corinthians 3:8-15; Revelation 20:11-15)

Psalm 91 and Sin

Psalm 91 and Sin

https://youtu.be/0DYJ1IPg3p8?si=cI-HPij-eIKOVW5i

The above video is very powerful; it was shared with me and I shared it with several people. But, many Christians, including myself have not always experienced this type of protection and I want to address that.

Notice in the video the woman, she is reading her Bible, this is a reflection of the teachings of JESUS; He said in John 8:31-32 that if His Word abides in us we will be His disciple and we will know The Truth and The Truth will set us Free.

What is The Truth that sets us Free? John 15 is the Truth that we have to abide in JESUS to be Productive in The Father’s Kingdom. In Mark 4:21-32 JESUS tells us that we have to pay attention to what we hear, why? Because it affects how we think and believe and this affects how we experience life and GOD’s Kingdom in the earth. In Mark 8:34-38 JESUS tells us that we have to lay down our Life and take up our cross to follow Him. He tells us we have to lose (surrender) our Life to Him and The Gospel (The Work of The Kingdom) to be Saved.

In Matthew 5:27-29 JESUS tells us that what we look at can cause us to sin. He says if we cannot control what we look at, which influences our soul, it is better to pluck out our eye and enter Eternity maimed than hell whole. In Matthew 6:22-24 JESUS tells us that we have to guard our eyes, if we look on sin it will darken our soul, He says we cannot serve two masters, we have to serve Him or we will serve the devil.

As I said above I have experienced not receiving the protection of GOD at times in my life and it was always when I was harboring (holding on to) sin in my Life. This is why we are told to confess our sins to one another (James 5:15-16), so that they are not hidden and festering; we bring them into the Light so that we can overcome them. (Matthew 5:23-26, 18:15-20) John says in 1 John 1:5-10 and 2:1-2 that if we have sin we must confess it  and JESUS will forgive us.

If we want the protection of Psalm 91 and to live in the armor of GOD (Ephesians 6:10-20) we have to “Seek first The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness” daily!

Remember every Promise has a Requirement and every Commandment has a Promise!

Psalm 8:4-5

Psalm 8:4-5

All quotes are from The Scriptures

“What is man that You Remember him? And the son of man (not JESUS) that You Visit him? Yet You have  made him a little less that ELOHIM (Or elohim)*! And have crowned him with Esteem and Splendor!”

Genesis 1:26-27 “AND ELOHIM said, ‘Let us make man in Our Image and Likeness…And ELOHIM Created man in his Image, in The Image of ELOHIM He created him – male and female He created them.”

Do you think about what it means to be made in the Image and Likness of JEHOVAH GOD? To be those who will Reign and Rule with CHRIST JESUS in The New Heavens and Earth – The Eternal Realm? (Revelation 20:4, 22:3-5

When JEHOVAH GOD Created our existence – the heavens, earth and seas He had already created millions of angelic beings of many descriptions and purposes. So why did He create us in His Image and Likness and what does JEHOVAH GOD look like?

* From the NKJV notes, Hebrew ELOHIM, GOD; Jewish tradition angels. In John 10:33-36 JESUS is quoting Psalm 82:1, 6; “ELOHIM stands in the Congregation of EL (GOD); He Judges in the midst of the elohim…I, I said ‘You are elohim, and all of you are Sons of The Most High.’” The Scriptures
