Revelation Chapter 16

 

Introduction:

 

Chapter 16 is the seven bowl judgments poured out. In chapter 11:1-14 and chapter 13 we had the last three and a half years of the Great Tribulation. In chapter 11:14-19 we have the sounding of the seventh trumpet – the last trumpet (1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11). In Revelation 14:14-20 we see the Rapture (Catching Away) of The Church and the harvest of the earth’s vine for judgment. In chapter 15 we see more worship of GOD and The Heavenly Tabernacle revealed.

Isaiah 34

1: Then I heard a loud voice from The Temple say to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the bowls of the Wrath of GOD on the earth.”

2: So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth and a foul and loathsome (severe and malignant) sore came upon the people who had the mark of the beast (anti-christ)* and those who worshipped his image.

3: Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea and it became blood as of the dead; and every living creature in the sea died (Revelation 8:8-9 the second trumpet).

:4-6 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water and they became blood (Exodus 7:14-24; Revelation 8:10-11 the third trumpet – bitter waters).** I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are righteous JEHOVAH, The One Who is and Who was and Who is to be, because You have Judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets and You have given them blood to drink; for it is their due!”

:7 I heard another from The altar saying, “Even so JEHOVAH, El Shaddai, True and Righteous are Your Judgments.”

:8-9 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun and power was given to him to scorch people with fire. People were scorched with great heat and they blasphemed The Name of GOD Who has Power over these plagues and they did not repent and give Him Glory (Revelation 8:12 the fourth trumpet, GOD reduced the light of the sun now He has increased its heat to burn).

:10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast (anti-christ) and his kingdom became full of darkness;*** and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.

:11 They blaspheme The GOD of Heaven because of their pains and their sores and do not repent of their deeds. (They have loathsome sores all over their bodies, they are thirsty, and now they have burning heat sores! Yet they will not repent.)

:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.****

:13-14 I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon (satan), out of the mouth of the beast (anti-christ) and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, preforming signs (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12), which go out to the kings of the earth (Revelation 17:12-14) and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that Great Day of JEHOVAH El Shaddai (Revelation 19:17-21).

:15 “Pay attention: I Am coming as a thief; Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.*****” (This is not part of the sixth bowl, this is a warning to the Church, this is one of the things that JESUS emphasized in His earthly ministry – watch and be ready for His Return, Matthew 24:45-51, 25:11-13; Philippians 3:9-10; Revelation 3:3)

:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon (Lit. Mount Megiddo).

:17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air and a loud voice came out of the Temple of Heaven from The Throne, saying, “It is done (John 19:30)!”

:18-19 There were noises and thunderings and lightnings (Revelation 8:5 – seventh seal, 11:15, 19 – seventh trumpet); and there was a great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth (Revelation 6:12 – sixth seal, 8:5 – seventh seal, 11:19 – seventh trumpet). Now the great city was divided into three parts (Revelation 11:13 – resurrection of the two witnesses), and the cities of the nations fell; and great Babylon was remembered before GOD, to give her The cup of the wine of the fierceness of His (GOD’s) Wrath (Revelation 17 and 18)!

:20 Then every island fled away and the mountains were not found (Revelation 6:14 – the sixth seal).

:21 Great hail from Heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent (Revelation 8:7 – the first trumpet, 11:19 – the seventh trumpet). Men blasphemed GOD because of the plague of the hail, since the plague was exceedingly great (a talent is equal to 100 pounds of silver or 200 pounds of gold – The Defined King James Bible).

* Not everyone who rejected GOD and CHRIST worship and serve the antichrist, there will be those other religious people and anarchist who reject GOD and the anti-christ that will still be on the earth after the Church is raptured.

** This is why I believe the bowl judgments only last one day, with the judgments that are to come there is no water on the planet to drink! Though Egypt’s judgment lasted one week (Exodus 7:24).

*** “Became full of darkness” this is not just so dark you cannot see but a darkness that you can feel!

**** The river Euphrates is very involved with the return of JESUS and GOD’s Judgments on the nations. (Revelation 9:13-21 the sixth trumpet.)

***** “lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” Those who are not clothed in GOD’s righteousness are naked in their sin and will be ashamed in GOD’s Presence (2 Corinthians 5:1-11; 1 Peter 5:5; Revelation 3:5).

Revelation Chapter 15

Introduction:

Chapter 15 is the prelude to the bowl judgments; “the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of GOD is complete. The Sea of glass and fire where those who have overcome the beast, his image, his name and the number of his name; having harps worship GOD. The Temple of The Tabernacle of The Testimony in Heaven is opened and the seven angels of the seven last plagues come out and are given the plagues of the wrath of GOD. The Temple was filled with the smoke of GOD’s Glory and Power and no one could enter the Temple until the plagues were completed.”

 

:1 Then I saw another sign in Heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the Wrath of GOD is complete (Revelation 19:19-21; 21:9)!

 

:2 I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have The victory over the beast, over his image and over the mark and over the number of his name (1 Corinthians 15:57, Revelation 12:11), standing on the sea of glass (Revelation 4:6, 21:18-21), having harps of GOD (Revelation 5:8).

 

:3-4 They sing the Song of Moses (Exodus 15:1-21), the Servant of GOD and of The LAMB, saying: “Great and Marvelous are Your Works, LORD GOD Almighty! Just and True are Your Ways, O King of The Saints (nations). Who shall not Fear You, O LORD and Glorify Your Name? For You alone are HOLY (Leviticus 11:44; 1 Peter 1:15). For all nations shall come and worship before You (Isaiah 66:23), For Your Judgments have been manifested (Isaiah 66:24; Revelation 14:9-10).”

 

:5 After these things I looked, and saw, The Temple of The Tabernacle of The Testimony in Heaven was opened (Exodus 25:9, 40; Hebrews 8:4-5).

 

:6 Out of The Temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure white linen and having their chests girded with golden bands. Pure white linen seems to be the official dress of Heaven.

 

:7 Then one of the four living creatures (Revelation 4:6) gave to the seven angels seven  golden blows full of The wrath of God Who Lives Forever and Ever (Psalm 90:1-2).

 

:8 The Temple was filled with smoke from the glory of GOD and from His Power, no one was able to enter The Temple (Exodus 40:34-35; 2 Chronicles 7:1-2) till the seven plagues of the seven angels was completed (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10).

As we celebrate Resurrection Day looking to the Soon Returning King, YESHUA; Who will rule over the nations of the earth for 1000 years. Let us remember the most important Words He spoke to us about the End of Days: “Therefore stay alert, for you do not know when The Master of The House is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the early morning. So, watch in case, coming suddenly He finds you asleep. What I say to you I say to all: ‘Stay alert!’” “He said to them, ‘It is not your place to know the times or seasons which The Father has placed under His Own control. But you will receive power when The HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you will be My Witnesses in Jerusalem, and through all Judah, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’” Mark 13:35-37, Acts 1:7-8

 

It is interesting, even fun to study the End Time events, but the thing that YESHUA emphasized most was to Watch, Know the signs of the time in which we live, Be ready, Don’t be deceived, Preach The Gospel; no matter what Preach The Gospel – Matthew, Mark, Luke, John!

 

Let us be careful that we do not miss our Calling by seeking knowledge GOD is holding to his Own Self. We know everything we need to know to proclaim The Gospel of YESHUA MESSIAH to the lost world! If we are ready, watching and about The Work of The Kingdom, The End of Days will not surprise us and we will be a participant and not just an observer.

Revelation Chapter 14

 

Revelation Chapter 14

Introduction:

Chapter 14:1-5 The one hundred forty four thousand who have the Name of The Father written on their foreheads. Verses 6-13 are about three angels making proclamations. Verses 14-20 are the reaping of the earth of the servants of GOD by CHRIST and of the wicked by an angel. All of chapters 14 through 19 take place during the seventh trumpet which was sounded in Revelation 11:15-19.

:1-5 Then I looked and saw The Lamb (John 1:29; Revelation 5:5-6) standing on Mount Zion and with Him One Hundred and Forty-four thousand (Revelation 7:3-4), having His Father’s Name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from Heaven, like the voice of many waters (Revelation 1:15) and like the voice of loud thunder (Psalm 77:18) and I heard harpists playing their harps (Revelation 5:8); They sang a new song before the Throne, before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth (Revelation 7:4). These are the ones who were not defiled with women*, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow The Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed among men being firstfruits to GOD and to The Lamb! In their mouth no deceit is found for they are without fault before The throne of GOD!

First proclamation – 14:6-7 “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of Heaven, having the everlasting Gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth–to every nation, tribe, tongue and people–saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear GOD and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come (Matthew 10:28), and worship Him who has made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water (Nehemiah 9:6; Revelation 4:8-11).’”

Second proclamation – 14:8 “And another angel followed, saying, ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.’” (See 17:1-19:4)

Third proclamation – 14:9-12 “Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of GOD, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of The LAMB. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the Saints; here are those who keep the commandments of GOD and the faith of JESUS.’” (See 20:11-15)

 

:13 Then I heard a voice from Heaven saying, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in The LORD from now on.’ Yes,” says The SPIRIT, “that they may rest from their labors and their works follow them (1 Corinthians 3:9-15; Hebrews 4:9-10).”

 

The Rapture – :14-16 Then I looked and saw a white cloud, on the cloud sat One like The son of Man, having on His head a Golden Crown and in His hand a sharp sickle. Another angel came out of The Temple crying with a loud voice to Him Who sat on the cloud (Acts 1:9-11), “Thrust in Your sickle and reap for the time has come for You to reap, for the Harvest of the earth is ripe (Matthew 9:37-38; Luke 10:1-2; John 4:35)!” So He Who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth and the earth was Reaped (Matthew 24:29-31; Mark 13:24-27; Luke 17:34-37; 1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

 

GOD’s Wrath – :17-20 Then another angel came out of The Temple, which is in Heaven, he also had a sharp sickle. Another angel came out from The Altar, who has power over fire and he cried with a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp sickle, “Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe!” So the angel thrust his sharp sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth and threw it into the Great Winepress of GOD’s Wrath! The Winepress (Psalm 75:6-8; Jeremiah 25:15-16) was trampled outside the city (Revelation 16:16, 18:6, 19:15) and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs (Lit. stadia, about 184 miles or about 296 kilometers).

 

 

* These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. This applies to humanity because of Adam and Eve. Adam was created perfect (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7) and Eve was taken from his body so she was also perfect (Genesis 2:18, 21-23) and GOD joined them together in marriage (Genesis 2:24). He gave them only two commandments: first – to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of god and evil (Genesis 2:15-17); second – to multiply and take care of the earth (Genesis 1:28)! Eve was deceived (Genesis 3:13, 16; 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Timothy 2:13-15) but Adam sinned because he listen to his wife rather than GOD (Genesis 3:12, 17; Romans 5:12-14). JESUS spoke on marriage and obedience in Matthew 19:1-12; then Paul talked about it in 1 Corinthians 7.

Revelation Chapter 13

Chapter 13 – Is about the beast (anti-christ), the false prophet, the image of the beast and the name or mark of the beast. The beast (anti-christ) rises from the sea and the false prophet from the land. [Is the sea like 17:15 – representative of the nations and the land representative of just one nation?] Without the mark no one can buy or sell anything. “Here is wisdom, let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: his number is 666.” Is 666: man was created on the sixth day of creation, man was redeemed on the sixth day of the week, man’s reign on the earth is for six Biblical days (six thousand years)? By the current Jewish calendar we are in the Biblical year of Tammuz, 5780 (August 2020 in the Gregorian calendar) which means there are two hundred and twenty years before we get to the Millennial Reign of CHRIST (the sixed day of humanity) that will be followed by the Sabbath Day of one thousands earth years of Rest. Daniel 2:1-45, 7-8; Ezekiel 1; Jeremiah 15:2, 43:11.

:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast (anti-christ system - singular) rising out of the sea (multitudes of people?), having seven heads and ten horns and on his horns ten crowns (Daniel 7:7-14, 19-27; Revelation 17:9-17) and on his heads a blasphemous name.

:2-3 Now the beast that I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear and his mouth like the mouth of a lion (Daniel 7:3-7). The dragon (satan) gave him his power, his throne and great authority; and I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded and his deadly wound was healed; and all the world marveled and followed the beast (Revelation 17:8).

:4 So they worshiped the dragon that gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able make war with him?”

:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemes (Daniel 11:36-37), and he was given authority to make war for forty-two months (3 ½ years, Revelation 11:2-3, this is happening at the same time).

:6-7 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against GOD, to blaspheme His Name, His Tabernacle and those who dwell in Heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the Saints and to overcome them; and authority was given him over every tribe, tongue and nation (Daniel 7:21-22; Revelation 12:17).

:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of The Lamb slain before the foundation of the world (Deuteronomy 32:32-33; Ephesians 1:1-4; 1 Peter 1:17-20).

:9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear (Matthew 11:15; Mark 7:14-16; Luke 8:8, 14:34-35; each of the seven letters ends with the statement, “He who has an ear let him hear what the SPIRIT is saying!”).

:10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword (Jeremiah 15:1-3. Here is the patience of the Saints (Hebrews 6:15; 2 Thessalonians 3:5; Revelation 1:9, 1 Peter 2:18-25; Revelation 14:12-13).

:11 Then I saw another beast coming up from out of the earth and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon (the false prophet, Revelation 16:13).

:12 He exercises all the authority (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12) of the first beast (anti-christ) in his presence and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast; whose deadly wound was healed.

:13 He performs great signs so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men (Matthew 24:24-25).

:14 He deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast the false prophet has no power of his own, he can only do signs while in the presence of the anti-christ), telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image (Exodus 20:1-6) to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

:15 He was granted power to give breath (not the breath of life that only comes from GOD, Genesis 2:7) to the image of the beast, and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed (Revelation 16:2).

:16-17 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads (remember we are sealed with The HOLY SPIRIT, (Ephesians 1:13-14; Revelation 7:3), and no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name (Revelation 14:9-11).

:18 Here is Wisdom! Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: his number is 666*

*The number of the anti-christ is 666: man was created on the sixth day of creation (Genesis 1:26-27, 31), man was redeemed on the sixth day of the week (he was crucified on Thursday, Friday He was redeeming the captives and taking the keys of death and hell – the sixth day of the week, Saturday He rested – the Sabbath, seventh day and he rose on Sunday the first day of the next week), man was supposed to have dominion over creation for six creation days (6,000 years).

Made In GOD's Image!

 

Made In GOD’s Image! 

Have you ever thought about the fact that humans are made in the image and likeness of GOD? How are we in God’s image and likeness? What does that mean about our relationship with GOD?

Two times GOD emphasizes that He made us in His image and likeness, Genesis 1:26-28, 5:1-2, “Then GOD said, ‘Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ So GOD created man in His Own image, in the image of GOD He created him; male and female He created them.” “This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that GOD created man, He made him in the likeness of GOD. He created them male and female and Blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.”

In Genesis 2:7 and 21-24 GOD describes how He made mankind. “And The LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground (Genesis 3:17-19; 1 Corinthians 15:45-49) and breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life and man became a living being…And The LORD GOD caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam and he slept; and He took one of his ribs (in the original it says He took from his side) and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which The LORD GOD had taken from man He made (Lit. built) into a woman and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.’ Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined (Lit. cling) to his wife and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 3:20; Proverbs 5:18; Hebrews 13:4)

Now let’s look at the full picture of man’s creation at the hand of GOD. “In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth...Then GOD said, ‘Let there be light!’ and GOD saw the light that it was Good; and GOD divided the light from the darkness. GOD called the light Day and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Then GOD said, ‘Let there be a firmament (expanse) in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters.’ Thus GOD made the firmament and divided the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And GOD called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day. Then GOD said, ‘Let the waters under the heavens be gather together into one place and let the dry land appear’; and it was so. And GOD called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas; and GOD saw that it was Good. Then GOD said, ‘Let the earth bring forth grass…And GOD saw that it was Good; and the evening and the morning were the third day. Then GOD said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be signs and seasons and for days and years…Then GOD made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night…And GOD saw that it was Good; and the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Then GOD said let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament (expanse) of the heavens…And GOD Blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas and let birds multiply on the earth.’ So the evening and the morning were the fifth day. Then GOD said, ‘Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind.’ And it was so…And GOD saw that it was Good. Then GOD said, ‘Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…So GOD created man in His Own image; in the image of GOD He created him; male and female He created them…And the LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life; and man became a living being. Then GOD saw everything that He had made and indeed it was Very Good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Genesis 1:1-2:7 [Eve could have been formed on the same day, but the Scripture is not clear on that, Genesis 2:20-25.]

So let’s be clear that we understand and believe that GOD made Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into him The Breath of Life and Adam became a living human being, both male and female, then later when GOD could find no helper for Adam among the rest of His creation He took from Adam’s side and made a Woman. If you cannot believe that without doubting then go back and read the scriptures again and ask GOD’s HOLY SPIRIT to show you the Truth about the creation of humanity – the human race.

Adam was created in GOD’s image and likeness as a plural human being just as GOD is a plural GOD. GOD is The Father, The Son and The HOLY SPIRIT, and The One True GOD Who is both singular and plural. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Zechariah 14:9; John 10:30, 17:11; Ephesians 4:5-6; 1 Timothy 1:5). We are the descendants of Adam, all humans come from Adam*, the first of the humankind (race) 1 Corinthians 15:45-49, “And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a Living Being.’ The Last Adam (JESUS) became a Life giving SPIRIT (Romans 5:12-21). However the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth made of dust; the second man is The LORD from Heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust (us, all humans); and as is the Heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly (Christians); and as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the Heavenly Man (Son of Man).” When the Scripture says, “Don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought  (Romans 12:3).” It is because we are of dust, and to dust we return (Genesis 3:19).

It is only through the Second Adam (Son of Man) that we are saved from sin, the sin that every human inherited from Adam, we are a DNA match for Adam through Noah.

*PHILADELPHIA (CBS) Nov 27, 2018 - All humans descended from a man and woman who lived 100,000 to 200,000 years ago, say researchers. Mark Stoeckle, from the Rockefeller University in New York and David Thaler of the University of Basel in Switzerland.

While not literally descending from one single man (Adam), scientific evidence suggests that all humans share a common male ancestor (Noah?), referred to as "Y-chromosomal Adam," and a common female ancestor, known as "Mitochondrial Eve," who lived many generations ago. 

It seems that some scientist believe we all come from one set of humans, just not Adam and Eve (how about Noah, Shem, Ham and  Japheth and their wives) and not six thousand or five thousand five hundred years ago but one hundred to two hundred thousand years ago. I think The Bible version is more believable.
