Peace: The Bible has a lot to say about peace and most of us think of peace as a time and place where there is no conflict – everything is at peace.

 

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His Name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

“For He Himself is our Peace, Who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,” Ephesian 2:14-15

 

JESUS is our Peace, He is The Prince of Peace and He gives us His Peace (John 14:27). So why are so many Christians without Peace? Because we seek something that GOD did not promise – everything is at peace. JESUS said He did not come to bring Peace but a sword (Matthew 10:34-39).

 

We are not commanded to pray for peace from conflict but to pray for Peace in conflict! “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to GOD; and The Peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through JESUS CHRIST.” Philippians 4:6-7

 

If we believe The Bible and that we are living in the end times and that soon the anti-christ will rise to rule the earth; then we know that there is not going to be any peace in the earth, there has not been any peace in the earth since Adam sinned in the Garden and was kicked out. There will be conflict until the existing heaven, earth and seas are destroyed and the New heaven, earth and Jerusalem are revealed.

 

True Peace in this life only comes by our personal relationship with GOD through JESUS CHRIST!

The Crown’s of JESUS

They are all Eternal!

 

“Then I saw Heaven opened, and behold, a White Horse! The One riding on it is called Faithful and True and He judges and makes war in Righteousness. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and many Royal Crowns are on His head.” Revelation 19:11-12

 

I believe the following is a list of some of CHRIST’s many Royal Crowns:

He is The Creator of everything that exists: Genesis 1; Jeremiah 32:17; John 1:1-14; Psalm 19:1-7; Revelation 4:11, 20:11-15.

He is The GOD of Humanity: Genesis 1, 2, 3; Malachi 2:10; Acts 17:22-34; Ephesians 4:1-6.

He is The GOD of Weather: Genesis 7-8; Exodus 9:13-35; 1 Kings 17:1-7, 18:41-46; Matthew 5:45, 8:23-27.

He is The GOD of all living things: Genesis 1, 3; Exodus 7-11.

He is The GOD of time: Joshua 10:12-14; Isaiah 38:1-8.

He is The GOD of Israel: Exodus 6:6-8; Deuteronomy 6:4.

He is The GOD of all rulers: Psalm 29:10-11; Proverbs 8:15-16; Matthew 22:15-22; Romans 13:1-7; 1 Timothy 1:17, 6:13-16; Revelation 19:11-16.

He is The GOD Who judges everyone and everything: Psalm 67:3-4; Isaiah 66:16; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:11-15.

He is The GOD of Salvation: Exodus 13:14; Psalm 3:8; John 1:10-13, 3:14-21; Acts 4:8-12; Romans 8:18-23.

 

As GOD, LORD and KING; CHRIST wears many Crowns, above I‘ve listed the 9 major areas where GOD (The Father, The Son, The SPIRIT) reign and there are other areas where they Rule. Seek GOD, study His Word (The Bible) and listen to The SPIRIT of GOD; make sure He is Reigning in every area of your life. This is the hard part, we all have to continually seek GOD for His Rule in every area of our life.

Forgiveness and Repentance

“Cheap grace is the deadly enemy of our Church. We are fighting to-day for costly grace.…Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate. Costly grace is the treasure hidden in the field…Such grace is costly because it calls us to follow, and it is grace because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” Matthew 13:44-46

PLEASE PRAY THE FOLLOWING PRAYER FOCUSES WITH US:

·  That we would fight for costly, eternal, never ending grace, and not settle for cheap grace.

·  That we would follow Jesus no matter the cost, choosing to go through the pain of conviction now, instead of facing judgment for our sins later.

·  That we would choose costly grace in the way of forgiveness through true repentance.

"Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent." (Revelation 2:5) "Repentance is the relinquishment of any practice, from conviction that it has offended God." (Websters 1828 Original Dictionary) Have we lost the understanding of repentance? There have been a number of meetings I have been in where the Holy SPIRIT started to convict the people in the room. Yet, the leader shut it down and moved on by saying something like, "There is hope in JESUS!" This statement is true; however, it is only true through repentance.  Without repentance, there is only hope for discipline and judgment for those who are born again. JESUS is a loving GOD, and because of this, HE will discipline us, sometimes severely, to keep us in HIS love and truth. Do you believe this? The same JESUS who came as a lamb is also a lion. The same JESUS who bore our sins on the cross is the KING of kings and the LORD of lords. What are you supposed to do when a King gives you a command to obey him?  This JESUS in Revelation says HE will put out the Ephesian Church's lamp-stand if they don't repent. How much more is it true of the Body of CHRIST today? Let us take the Words that JESUS spoke to the Ephesians to heart and respond as HE wanted them to do in the first century. Let's begin by reading GOD's Word and allowing it to convict us of our sins and wayward ways. We must not resist conviction anymore. Yes, it is painful, but this pain leads to godly results. Conviction is supposed to be uncomfortable and painful at times. Its intent is to humble and bring us into the truth, a godly lifestyle.  If we resist conviction that leads to repentance, we will be found to be a stiff-necked and hard-hearted people. The only thing left for us will be judgment. We have a choice; go through the pain of conviction now or face judgment later. What will you choose?

During the 40 days of Lent many Christians make religious sacrifices, some make a greater commitment than they can or will keep. GOD gave His Best as a Sacrifice; JESUS; to Redeem us! JESUS gave His all, even knowing the Cost of His Obedience! Why can we not make a personal Sacrifice that Costs us something? Why is it that we need a special time of Prayer and Fasting to be motivated? Prayer and Obedience should be part of our daily walk with GOD!

40 Days of Prayer & Fasting by Chris Leeper

 

40 Days of Prayer & Fasting By Chris Leeper Today we start a 40 day journey; a journey of repentance and drawing near to GOD. Some may ask, "40 days of repentance seems a bit excessive. Is it really that bad?" It is obvious that the world is in great turmoil, however, it is not so obvious to us that GOD could actually be disciplining HIS people with this pandemic and totalitarianism. Many in the Body of CHRIST don't even believe in the judgment or discipline of the LORD. This should give us great concern because GOD doesn't abide by our belief system; HE functions based upon HIS Word. I would like to share some words that I heard the LORD say to help us understand the importance of 40 days of repentance. The following are questions that I asked the LORD, and HIS response: LORD, it doesn't seem like YOU are hearing our prayers. "I am son but you are not ready for the answers. They will cost you too much and you don't want to pay the price. Pray for a heart change, a genuine transformation of the heart. You need ME, not the answers to your prayers. Repent of self-effort and trying to make things happen. I do things differently than you do. I am at work, but it doesn't look like what you want it to. Tell MY people to turn to ME, not their prayers or hopes for change. They need ME right now and nothing else. MY people are hurting and don't even know it. They think they are ok, but they are not. They are desperate and hungry for righteousness in their own lives but can't see it. There is a purging that needs to happen but they have been unwilling, so far, to go that deep with ME. The pain for them is too great, but it will bring great results like they have never known in all their life. You must be clear with them and share their need. They may not accept it but it must be done. They are MY children and they must be corrected to see the light of MY goodness and live in the grace of who I AM." Another day I heard: "MY people are following what seems right to them because they have no King."   "In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes." (Judges 17:6) LORD, are these just my thoughts? "No. I am very disappointed in how MY people are behaving. They don't listen. They don't want to follow ME. Their appetites are so strong for what they want they can't imagine that I would want something different. This will be their ruin. They think they are fighting a good cause, but they are fighting ME." And yet another day, I heard: "MY Church doesn’t know what love is. MY love plans for the future generations. It cares about what I care about and brings that to people. It doesn’t pretend to love and then do its own thing. That's right, it does not pretend." I pray these words stir your heart to want to engage in these 40 days of prayer, fasting, worship and outreach with the preeminent theme of repentance. The LORD is after us with what is going on in the world. Will we surrender, trust, and give our entire lives into HIS hands, or will we continue to do what seems right in our own eyes? The LORD has laid these questions before us. What will be our response? These are very serious times. I pray that we will bow our knees to King JESUS and follow the instructions of 2 Chronicles 7:14. HIS word is true, and if we do what HE says, HE "will hear from heaven and will forgive their (our) sin and heal their (our) land." Let's take a knee during these 40 Days of HOPE and humble ourselves, pray, seek GOD's face and turn from our wicked ways! Now is the TIME! "...if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)     Prayer Focus   ·  Give me greater revelation as to the importance of repentance ·  Prepare my heart to be sensitive and receptive to YOUR conviction, and let it have its way in me. ·  Over these next 40 days, break off the chains that keep me from walking in complete surrender and obedience to YOU.     Consider forwarding this email to your friends so we can pray together.

Why are there so many Scriptures that tell us to seek GOD and Obey Him that are just not preached? The emphasis of The Bible is to Personally Know GOD! Everything else can be a distraction that separates us from GOD and each other. From Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 GOD reveals Himself to us.
