The Bible is The Word of GOD to humanity so that we can know JEHOVAH, JESUS and HOLY SPIRIT; The One True GOD of all creation! If you read it regularly and study its teachings then you know that we are approaching the End of Days. The time of GOD’s Judgment on the whole earth, every nation and every person is facing a decision!

 

Believe GOD and receive JESUS as Savior! So that you can do the Work of GOD’s Heavenly Kingdom in the earth and therefore receive Eternal Life in GOD’s Eternal Heavenly Kingdom! Those who reject GOD and His Purposes will be judged, those who try to serve GOD in their own way will be judged and this judgment will lead to Eternal Punishment!  Every human being is a living spirit, soul and body; our body is flesh and will die, our soul is our personality and will remain with our spirit which is immortal; except for our body of flesh we will live forever! We will receive a new spiritual body at the death of our fleshly body.

 

 So we have to choose, do we live in GOD’s Eternal Kingdom on the earth now and then after the judgment in GOD’s Eternal Heavenly Kingdom? Or, do we reject GOD’s Plan for our life and live how we want and after the Judgment be cast into the Eternal Lake of Fire?

 

The prophets of old told us these days were coming! JESUS told us these days were coming! Modern prophets and teachers have been telling us these days are coming!

 

So what are you deciding? Are you going to give your life back to GOD who created us in His Image and Likness? Or, are you going to choose your own way? The way of the world is the way of the devil, who was the first to rebel against GOD. If you do not Believe, Yield your will and Obey GOD’s Will for you then you are following the devil’s way of rebellion and you will suffer the devil’s punishment in The Lake of Fire!

 

Now that you have decided, what are you doing about it? If you reject GOD and His Plan of Salvation then you do not have to do anything, just continue to live your life how you choose and wait for the day of judgment.

 

If you decided to follow GOD’s Plan of Salvation and receive JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and Savior, then you have a lot to do. If you have been a Christian for a while then you should know that you are supposed to be living a life of obedience to GOD’s Will. JESUS came and proclaimed that we have to STOP SINNING! JESUS proclaimed that we have to learn His Word (The Bible), He said if we are to be His disciple then His Word must abide in us! That means we have to read, study and meditate on The Bible. We have to listen to GOD’s HOLY SPIRIT, which GOD sent to Live in us so that we could learn to know and Obey GOD; and we have to fellowship with other Christians to balance and strengthen each other in GOD’s Will and Purpose.

 

JESUS told us to know the signs of the times in which we live, and that if we knew when the thief was coming we would be prepared and prevent him from robbing us (the thief is the devil who comes to steal, kill and destroy, John 15:10). JESUS also told us to know the signs of the times in which we live so that we would be ready for His return! We do not know when JESUS will return, He told us that only The Father knows when that time is. But JESUS told us what the signs of His return are so that we can be ready and not be caught by surprise!

 

Are you watching what is happening in your community, nation, Israel and the world? Do you see the signs being fulfilled that lead to JESUS’ return as LORD of all the nations of the earth for one thousand years?

 

If so, what are you doing to prepare for the days of persecution ahead, are you learning and abiding in GOD’s Word so that you can proclaim to the lost and confused the Hope of Glory which is in you; The Gospel of JESUS CHIRST!? Are you storing supplies for your family and others for the time when you will not be able to go to the store because you do not take the mark of the anti-christ?

 

Or do you believe that JESUS is going to come and rescue you with the Rapture just before things get bad? Actually things are very bad in many countries and getting worse all over the world. JESUS cannot come and rescue the Church before He comes to rule over the nations for one thousand years! JESUS said “Immediately after the Tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of The Heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of The Son of Man will appear in heaven and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see The Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with Power and Great Glory. Then He will send His angels with a great sound of a Trumpet and they will gather together His Elect (Chosen Ones) from the four winds, from one end of Heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31

 

Paul described it this way, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom  of GOD; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery (hidden Truth): We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be Changed – in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the Last trumpet; for the Trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15:50-52

 

In JESUS’ Revelation to John, the angel said, “Then the seventh angel (the last of seven angels who sound seven trumpets) sounded :and there were loud voices in Heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of JEHOVAH and of His CHRIST and He shall Regin forever and ever!’…Then The Temple of GOD was opened in Heaven and the Ark of His Covenant was seen in His Temple; and there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake and great hail.” Revelation 11:15-19

 

And, “Then I looked and beheld a white cloud and on the cloud sat One as The Son of Man, having on His head a Golden Crown and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of The temple, crying with a loud voice to Him Who sat on the cloud, ‘Thrust in your sickle and reap, for the Harvest of the earth is ripe.’ So He Who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth and the earth was reaped (The Church Raptured). Then another angel came out of The Temple which is in Heaven, he also having a sharp sickle; and another angel came out of The Altar, who had power over fire and he cried with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, ‘Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.’ So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the Wrath of GOD. The winepress was trampled outside the city and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs (about 4 feet deep for about 184 miles). Revelation 14:14-20 (Study Revelation 16:1-20:6 for all the events of that Last Day.)

 

So Revelation 11:15-19 and 14:14-20 are the fulfilment of what JESUS taught in Matthew 24:29-31 and Paul described in 1 Corinthians 15:50-52. Do not be deceived by the many well know and loved preachers who say the Church is going to be Raptured before the Great Tribulation. JESUS clearly said it was going to be after the Great Tribulation!

 

So are you prepared for the Great Tribulation? Many Christians around the world, where they are persecuted, raped, imprisoned and murdered for their faith today already are in great tribulation! But first we must see the One World Government led by a man who brings Peace to Israel, who will rise up and call himself god. Then the time will be cut short as JESUS said. In all the six thousand year history of man’s rebellion against GOD three and one half years is a very short time to suffer; but the Greatest Tribulation suffering is reserved for the Last Day after The Church is Raptured (Revelation 16:1-20:6)!

 

Seek first The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness! Eternal Heaven or Eternal Hell depend on it.

Jeremiah 38

 

Jeremiah 38

 

One day recently I heard a well know television Pastor talking about Jeremiah being thrown in a pit (some translations say dungeon). He used a lot of hyperbole and antics to teach his message; he got the congregation excited about rags coming down from heaven as an indicator that ELOHIM was going to let down the rope to save them from their calamity. The congregation was excited and shouting back at the Pastor about the rags, but they had not been taught why Jeremiah was in the pit or to what he was rescued.

 

My issue is that his message left out why Jeremiah was put in the pit and what happened to Jeremiah after he was rescued. His message was ELOHIM is going to save you from your pit, whatever situation you find yourself in, ELOHIM is going to pull you out. That is just not true! Romans 8:28 says that “All things work for our Good IF we are The Called According To JEHOVAH’s Purpose” (my loose paraphrase); but it does not say that JEHOVAH will rescue us from our situation (pit)! ELOHIM has Gifted each of us with a Call and Gift so that we can fulfill His Plans and Purposes in out life, our family, our Fellowship, our community, our nation and the earth (Psalm 139:13-18)!

 

It is not that ELOHIM does not care about you or why you are in the situation that you want to be rescued from. ELOHIM has a Plan for all of our lives and ELOHIM expects us to seek Him and His Righteousness so that we can find our Purpose and Calling for His Kingdom in the earth (Matthew 6:33-34; 2 Peter 1:5-11). Many Christians just want to live a good, happy, healthy, life, go to Church regularly and pay their tithes while they wait for YESHUA to come rescue them from the Great Tribulation; that is not going to happen!

 

What is the story of Jeremiah in chapter 38 about? Jeremiah, a priest that JEHOVAH calls to be a prophet during the time leading up to and during the early years of Israel’s exile to Babylon (Jeremiah 1:1-10). While many prophets are saying that ELOHIM says that He will save Israel from Nebuchadnezzar’s army; JEHOVAH is actually saying that He has called Nebuchadnezzar to punish Israel for their sins. Jeremiah is one of the few prophets that is speaking ELOHIM’s Word to the people. The king is swayed by the priests and false prophets and allows them to punish Jeremiah for “causing fear” (38:4). But the king did not want to harm Jeremiah so he allowed them to put him in prison, which they had already done a couple of times. This time it was a muddy pit or cistern. ELOHIM had a man of faith who went to the king on Jeremiah’s behalf, the king gave Ebed-Melech permission to rescue Jeremiah from the pit so that he would not die, but he remained in prison (38:28).

 

So if you read chapters 34-38 you will see that Jeremiah’s situation went from ok to bad, to worse, to bad again. Eventually, forced to go to Egypt with those who still rejected JEHOVAH’s Word he is killed (his death is historical but not in The Bible).

 

This is why I teach that each of us is responsible before JEHOVAH to know His Word, The Bible, and to live according to its teachings. In Acts 11:26 YESHUA’s Disciples were first called Christians (the commentaries say it is because they acted like YESHUA). If you study Paul’s teachings you will see that He never talks about being rescued by ELOHIM*. Like YESHUA and the other apostles Paul teaches us to stand fast, overcome, be patience and endure to the end (Matthew 20:15-16; Matthew 22:13-14; Romans 8:28-30; Romans 11:29; 1 Corinthians 1:26; 2 Peter 1:5-11). Being a Christian is not about going to Church and living a moral life, which should be the side effect of living according to The Bible’s teachings! We are Called to be CHRIST like in our obedience to The Father’s Will for our life. YESHUA said He came only to do the Father’s Will, in His prayer in John 17 YESHUA says he has done that which the Father gave Him to do. Then on the cross He said, “It is finished!” Paul said he was always striving to finish well (Philippians 3:7-16; Colossians 1:28-29)!

 

Are you striving against sin so that you can live in The Righteousness of ELOHIM that YESHUA gives us (2 Corinthians 5:20-21)? JEHOVAH, our Heavenly Father, wants us to enter into Eternity as mature, trained servants; but not everyone who enters into Eternity will be mature or trained. Some will be babies because they gave their life to YESHUA just before they died, Some will be babies because they did not seek ELOHIM’s Kingdom and His Righteousness, because they were Christian in name only (1 Corinthians 3:10-15). YESHUA gave us The Great Commission because that is The Work of every Believer!

 

Are you doing the Work that JEHOVAH wrote out for your Life?

Are you fulfilling JEHOVAH’s Purpose for your Life?

Or are you being good and waiting for eternity?

 

1 Corinthians 10:1-14 is a warning not to follow what the Hebrew people did. They had all the Scriptures telling them about the coming Savior and what He was going to do; but they missed Him because what they wanted was a deliver, not from sin and death, but from Roman rule! Many Christians are doing the same thing; they do not want to do the hard road of repentance and persecution; they what the Good Life and The Rapture (Matthew 7:13-14)!

 

* 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man; but ELOHIM is Faithful, Who Will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

In the KJV and NIV it says, “a way”, in the NKJV, CJB and The Scriptures it says, “the way”. This can confuse people the difference between “a way” and “the way” is pretty big. A way can be anything, the way implies there is only one way; but that difference is negated because every temptation and the person under the temptation is different and there is a specific way that ELOHIM makes for them to bear or escape or stand up under it. That is the key thought in this passage, ELOHIM Will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to handle so that we can endure to the end (one of YESHUA’s favorite sayings; “He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what The SPIRIT is saying!”). It’s not about us escaping the temptation it is about us overcoming the temptation; that is what the first 12 verses of 1 Corinthians 10 are about!

Why Are So Many Christians Sick And Dying?

 

The first time I remember asking this question was in 2014 when our Church was in a time of prayer and fasting. None of us had an answer, just the understanding that sin was in the world and therefore sickness and disease were rampant in the world and that included Christians. But none of us had a clear understanding from JEHOVAH Râphâh as to why so many Christians, especially well know ministers were sick and dying, even committing suicide.

Sin in the world is the easy, go to answer, but that leaves a lot of questions about why Christians who are serving JEHOVAH and overcoming temptation and sin in their life get sick and sometimes die. Sometimes Christians die in accidents, in natural catastrophes, as victims of crimes or other reasons not related to persecution. Why?

Many Christians make lame excuses about death for GOD, “GOD needed them more than we do.” “Well, they are out of pain now.” Or “They are in a better place now.”

Many christians make lame excuses for why people do not get healed immediately, “They just don’t have enough faith.” “They must have some hidden sin in their life.”

If you are a Born Again Christian and JEHOVAH’s HOLY SPIRIT Lives in you (you are The Temple of JEHOVAH, 1 Corinthians 3:10-17, 2 Corinthians 6:11-18) why are you ever sick? Romans 8:11 says that The HOLY SPIRIT quickens our mortal body, does that not mean we should never be sick? Actually no, it does not mean that! This passage is about Eternal Life, The HOLY SPIRIT Lives in our body, so He has to make it Alive (John 6:60-63) our Eternal Life starts now, even in our mortal body.. In my study of Romans 8:11 (JEHOVAH’s SPIRIT Quickens Our Body!) I discovered that Eternal Life is more important than Healing! YESHUA used healing, deliverance and raising the dead as tools; The Church today should be doing the same. They are not guaranteed to non-believers or Believers. Every person that teaches that all Christians should be healthy, happy and well off are misleading Believers.

The fact is that every person is unique, every person has a unique Calling and Gift from JEHOVAH that He gives us in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-18); the reason anyone is sick, injured, diseased or dies is therefore unique and How JEHOVAH uses that for His Purpose is according to His Will, Purpose and Timing!

Some examples: Ordinary people of JEHOVAH being disabled (Leviticus 19:14; JEHOVAH’s servants being sick (Leviticus 22:4); person’s sickness being for JEHOVAH’s Glory (John 9:1-12); sickness for the Witness of JEHOVAH’s Salvation (John 11:11-16, 38-44); people not being healed by JESUS (Acts 3:1-10).

In our studies we concentrate on the healings and deliverances and ignore the fact that not everyone gets healed or delivered.

When you are asked to pray for someone, if it is on the spot, then pray to The HOLY SPIRIT to show you what and how to pray before you pray for the person or situation.

If you have time, seek The HOLY SPIRIT to show you the situation and The Father’s Purpose and Timing, to give you words or Scriptures for the person or situation before you pray.

Many times it is the failure of the person praying, whose words discourage the person being prayed for. If you are willing to pray for people on the spot than you should be prayed up in your own life so that you will hear The SPIRIT; remember YESHUA said many times, “He who has an ear to hear, let him hear what The SPIRIT is saying.” If you are prayed up in your own life, family and ministry, if your are full of The Word of JEHOVAH, then you are ready to hear what The SPIRIT is saying and to pray with Understanding and Faith.

Many of these situations are of those mysteries that will remain with us until CHRIST Reigns over the Nations or maybe not until The New Heavens and earth. Always it is The Will and Purpose of JEHOVAH that we are seeking and praying for and we do not understand what it is that ELOHIM is doing (Isaiah 55:8-10; Romans 11:33-36).

 Ultimately we have to Trust GOD, Romans 8:28.

GOD’s SPIRIT Quickens Our Body!

Romans 8:11 KJV

 

“But if The SPIRIT of Him that raised up JESUS from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up CHRIST from the dead shall also quicken (make alive) your mortal bodies by His SPIRIT Who dwelleth in you.” What is Paul saying? What is the context here?

 

Romans 8:1-17 (NKJV condensed) “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in CHRIST JESUS, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to The SPIRIT. For The Law of The SPIRIT of Life in CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the law of sin and death…So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please GOD. But you are not in the flesh but in The SPIRIT, if indeed The SPIRIT of GOD dwells in you…And if CHRIST is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but The SPIRIT is Life because of Righteousness. But if The SPIRIT of HIM Who raised JESUS from the dead dwells in you, He Who raised CHRIST from the dead will also give Life to your mortal bodies through (Or because of) His SPIRIT Who dwells in you…For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by The SPIRIT you put to death the deeds of the body, you will Live…The SPIRIT Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are Children of GOD, and if Children, then Heirs – Heirs of GOD and joint Heirs with CHRIST, if indeed that we suffer with Him, that we may be also Glorified together.” (Later go back and read all 17 verses.)

 

Many Christians have been taught that Romans 8:11 says that The HOLY SPIRIT will heal your body because you are a Believer in JESUS*.

 

There are two Greek words for quicken in The KJV – zōŏpŏiĕō from the same as zōŏn and pŏiĕō meaning: to (re-) vitalize (literally or figuratively):-make alive, give life, quicken.

And – suzōŏpŏiĕō from suzētĕō and zōŏpŏiĕō meaning: to reanimate conjointly with (figuratively):-quicken together with.

 

JESUS only used zōŏpŏiĕō! The following are from NKJV with (KJV in parentheses).

John 5:20-21, JESUS is being criticized for healing on the Sabbath and making Himself equal with GOD, so He says: “For The Father Loves The Son and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as The Father Raises the dead and gives Life to them (quickeneth them), even so The Son gives Life to (quickeneth) whom He Will.”

John 6:62-63, JESUS is losing disciples because of His teaching about He is The Bread of Life and Believers have to eat His flesh (this is for another teaching), so He says: “What then if you should see The Son of Man ascend where He was before? It is The SPIRIT Who gives Life (that quickeneth); the flesh profits nothing. The Words that I speak to you are Spirit and they are Life.”

So JESUS is saying that the HOLY SPIRIT gives Life to our flesh! He is not talking about healing the body He is talking about our new Spiritual body that we get when out present mortal bodies dies.

 

JESUS said this a couple of times in a different manner, Mark 8:34-38 (NKJV condensed): “…Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My Sake and The Gospel’s will Save it…For whoever is ashamed of Me and My Words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him The son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels (Luke 14:25-33 – there is a cost to serving JESUS).”

 

The point is that Eternal Life is more important to the Christian than healing! JESUS used healing, deliverance and raising the dead to get people’s attention to what He was Saying; and Christians should be doing the same. JESUS made this point when He said, “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into Life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into Life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.” Matthew 18:8-9 (Matthew 5:27-30; Mark 9:43-48).

 

Paul uses zōŏpŏiĕō five times, in Romans 4:17, 8:11; 1 Corinthians 15:45; Ephesian 2:1 and 1 Timothy 6:13.

Paul’s use in 1 Corinthians 15:45 of zōŏpŏiĕō: “And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a Living Being.’ The last Adam became a Life-giving SPIRIT.”

is quoting Genesis 2:7**: “And JEHOVAH GOD formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils The Breath of Life; and man became a Living Being (Living Soul).”

How did Adam become a Living Being? JEHOVAH breathed into his nostrils The Breath of Life (His SPIRIT)

 

Peter uses zōŏpŏiĕō one time in 1 Peter 3:18, where he says: “…that He (JESUS) might bring us to GOD, being put to death in the flesh but made Alive by The SPIRIT.”

 

Paul uses suzōŏpŏiĕō two times, in Ephesians 2:5 and Colossians 2:13.

 

* I am not saying that The HOLY SPIRIT does not heal people, especially Believers; I am saying that this passage is not about healing it is about Eternal Life which requires a new spiritual eternal body! We are healed by JESUS’ scourging before His crucifixion (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:21-24). GOD is our healer; His Name is JEHOVAH Raphah (Exodus 15:26; 2 Chronicles 7:13-14).

 

** In the Old Testament there is only one word for quicken: châyâh = a primary root; to live, whether figuratively or literally; causative to revive:-keep (leave, make) alive and more.

it is translated 14 times in the KJV as quicken and is only used in The Psalms (71:20; 80:18; 119:25, 37, 40, 50, 88, 93, 107, 149, 154, 156, 159; 143:11); it is also translated as life seven times in the KJV (2 Kings 8:1, 5; Job 33:4, 36:6; Ecclesiastes 7:12, 15; Ezekiel 13:22).

We Do Not Have To Perform For GOD! FALSE!

 

“We Don’t Have To Preform For GOD!”

False!

 

I have heard this statement or something like it, it is part of the “Good Life” doctrine and it is false! It gives people the idea that we just have to behave, tithe and wait for the Rapture!

 

¹Ephesian 2:8-9 “For by Grace you have been Saved through Faith and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of GOD, not of works, least anyone should boast.”

Salvation is Free!* Grace is GOD’s Love for every human being, so He decided before He made anything that exists in our existence to be born as a human and give His Life in exchange for ours! (John 1:29; 1 Peter 1:17-21)

The Gift From GOD: not only is Salvation a Free gift from GOD; GOD Gives us the Faith to actually Believe in JESUS’ Work of Obedience and Sacrifice, so that we can be Saved! (2 Corinthians 5:20-21)

So Salvation is Free, we cannot do anything to earn it; we only have to believe, by The Faith that GOD Gives us: that JESUS is LORD and that GOD raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:8-13)

 

That is why in his letter to the Philippians Paul wrote, “…work out your own Salvation with fear and trembling; for it is GOD Who Works in you both to Will and To Do for His Good Pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing.” (Philippians 2:12b-14)

That is why James tells us that Works without Faith** is dead (James 2:14)

Paul tells us that our works (How we Live and Serve GOD) will be judged. (1 Corinthians 3:10-15)***

 

But, most importantly what did JESUS say about Faith and Works? Matthew 6:19-24, ending in the most misunderstood statement, “No one can Serve two master; for either he will hate the one and Love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve GOD and mammon!” The whole point of JESUS’ statement is that you will be serving GOD doing The Works of His Kingdom in the earth, (Matthew 6:9-10) or you will be serving the devil, world or flesh!

John 5:19, JESUS “…said to them,  ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees The Father do; for whatever He does, The Son does in like manner.”

John 14:12, “Most assuredly I say to you, he who Believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater Works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

Mark 8:34-38 Lay down your life and take up your cross!

John 8:28-32 Know The Truth!

John 14:15-18 The SPIRIT of Truth!

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that you may have Peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of Good Cheer, I have overcome the world.” Oswald Chambers said about this verse, “An average view of the Christian Life is that it means Deliverance from trouble. It is Deliverance in trouble, which is very different!”²

 

 

* As in we do not and cannot pay for our Salvation by any means! Romans 6:23

 

** James 2:14 ³The Scriptures, “My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has Belief but does not have works? This Belief in unable to save him.”

⁴The Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) “What good is it my brothers, if someone claims to have  Faith but has no Actions to prove it? Is such ‘Faith’ able to Save him?”

Then James goes on to explain what he means in verses 15-26, concluding with, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so Faith without Works is dead also.”

 

*** They are not talking about getting Saved, they are talking about what to do when you are Saved, Repentance is a lifelong process, we have to continually reject everything of the flesh and the world and “Seek first The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness…” (Isaiah 55:6-7; Matthew 6:33-34).

Exodus 23:3-6

The Messenger

 

“Do not favor a poor man in his strife. When you meet your enemy’s  ox or his donkey going astray, you shall certainly return it to him. When you see the donkey of him who hates you lying under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall certainly help him. Do not turn aside the right-ruling of your poor in his strife.” This is GOD’s Word from The Torah (Law).

 

Matthew 5:38-45 This is from JESUS The CHRIST’s Word, The Sermon On The Mount: “You have heard that is was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth’ (Exodus 21:22-27), but I say to you do not resist the wicked; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. And he who wishes to sue you and take away your inner garment, let him have your outer garment as well. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks of you and from him who wishes to borrow from you, do not turn away. You heard it said, ‘You shall love your neighbor (Leviticus 19:17-18) and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies, Bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you and pray for those insulting you and persecuting you (Matthew 5:10-12), so that you become sons of your Father in The Heavens. Because He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous.”

 

Let’s look at these Scriptures. “Do not favor a poor man in his strife…Do not turn away the right-ruling of your poor in his strife.” These seem like contradictory statements.

In the NKJV it reads, “You shall not show partiality to a poor man in his dispute…You shall not pervert the judgment of your poor in his dispute.” What we see here is a theme through The Bible about how to deal with the poor (who according to JESUS we will always have). Be careful to judge them and their situation with mercy and grace while maintaining integrity towards all who are involved.

"Sin No More!"

 

“Sin No More!”

John 5:14, 8:11

 

Most Christians know that John son of Zacharias, was called the Baptizer because he called people to repent of their sins and baptized them for the forgiveness of sins. (Luke 3:1-3)

Most Christians do not know that JESUS started His Ministry by calling people to repent of their sins. (Matthew 4:12-17; Mark 1:14-15; John 3:22-24, 4:1-3)

 

Most Christians know the stories of the man who had been lame for 38 years and the woman caught in adultery. JESUS healed the lame man and told him, “See you have been made well, Sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you!” When the religious leaders tried to trap JESUS with the woman caught in adultery, He convicted the religious of their own sin and when they all left He asked the woman, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one LORD!” and JESUS said to her, “Neither do I condemn you, go and Sin no more!”

 

Repent means to change your mind, to stop thinking and therefore behaving one way and think and behave the opposite. “Sin no more!” is tha call and requirement of all who believe in JESUS and call themselves a Christian!

 

If you call yourself a Christian you should be living a life of repentance! Paul tells us it is our responsibility to live the Christian Life, and as we do GOD works in us the call of repentance and the desire to do His Will. (Philippians 2:12-13)

 

Here is the hard part of this teaching! A lack of true repentance in Christians is the cause of the problems in The Church and the world. Remember JESUS told us that we are supposed to be light and salt, we are supposed to be exposing sin and preserving righteousness by our life! Each and every Christian will be judged by GOD according to His standard of Righteousness! If you do not abide in JESUS and His Word (The Bible) does not abide in you, then you are not His disciple and you are not doing the Will of GOD! (John 8:28-32, 14:15-24, 15:1-17)

 

JESUS told us many hard things: He did not come to bring peace, He came to fulfill The Law, we will be hated and persecuted for His sake; if we do not forgive others, GOD will not forgive us… Study The Sermon On The Mount, Matthew 5-7; where JESUS told us how to live the Christian Life!
