“Then I saw a Great White Throne, and The One Who sat on it. The earth and heaven fled from His Presence, but no place was found for them. And I saw the dead–the great and the small–standing before the Throne. The books were opened, and another Book was opened–The Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what was written in the books, according to their deeds. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and sheol gave up the dead in them. Then they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds. Then death and sheol were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death–the lake of fire. And if anyone was not found in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15 TLV

 

First of all if you do not believe that The Bible is The Word of GOD and is infallible then you can stop reading now, just know that you will stand before GOD and be judged for how you lived your life.

 

For those who believe that Christians get some kind of pass at the Great White Throne Judgment, reread the above verses. They say that GOD will judge everyone for their deeds! That all the dead (including Christians) will be judged, out of the books that GOD keeps, for good or bad. GOD repeats this statement to emphasize the fact that all the dead will be judged. Then at the very end GOD emphasizes that those whose names are not found in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire (eternal judgment). If there were no Christians at this judgment then that would be a mute point and would not be emphasized.

 

GOD knows us and He will judge us, each and every one.

JESUS is not looking for those who will follow Him around and enjoy His Love and Grace. He is looking for those who will follow Him to the cross, surrender all they are and have in baptism to become His Disciple. Then go in Obedience to GOD’s Will and do what He did.

“A Disciple is not above his Teacher, nor a Servant above his Master. It is enough for a Disciple that he be like his Teacher, and a Servant like his Master…” Matthew 10:24-25a

It is Easy to Understand but it can be hard to do. To be saved we only need to believe and confess, but we are not called to be saved; we are saved because we are called. Salvation is easy but Obeying the Call can be hard if we are not willing to die to ourself and the world so that we can Live For and In JESUS CHRIST!

It is in the Fear of The LORD that we gain the understanding of Obedience. JESUS with His own Life redeemed us back from sin and destruction to the Father and Life Eternal. Obedience is not a sacrifice it is the minimum requirement, not to repay for we never can, but to show our Love and Understanding of What He did for us.
