GOD’s Provision And Forgiveness!

 

Matthew 6:24-25, 33-34 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve GOD and riches. Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing…Seek you first The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

By seeking GOD first we do not have to worry about anything else in the natural, we just have to trust GOD.

 

1 Corinthians 10:31 “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do in word or deed, do all to The Glory of GOD.”

All of our life’s activities are to bring Glory to GOD.

 

Matthew 22:36-40 “’Teacher, which is the Great Commandment in The Law?’ JESUS said to him, ‘”You shall Love The LORD your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the First and Great Commandment; and the Second is like it: “You shall Love your neighbor as yourself.” On these two Commandments hang all The Law and the Prophets.’”

When we Love GOD then we are commanded to Love our neighbors.

 

Ephesians 4:32 “And be Kind to one another, Tenderhearted, Forgiving one another, even as GOD in CHRIST Forgave you.”

JESUS teaches us that we have to forgive people, even those who are mean to us.

 

So what did we learn today? That GOD Loves us and will take care of us when we put Him First in our life. And, that we are to forgive those who sin against us because GOD forgave us our sins in JESUS.

Judas Iscariot was not the first person to pretend to obey GOD and betray GOD’s people!

Judas Iscariot was not the last person to betray JESUS!

Many before Judas pretended to serve GOD and betrayed GOD’s people.

Many since Judas have pretended to serve GOD and betrayed JESUS.

Some are named in the Bible many are know by the world for their heinous deeds.

 

There are two unforgivable sins:

Unforgiveness, Matthew 6:14-15, “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, your Father will not forgive your trespasses.”

Blaspheming The HOLY SPIRIT, “’Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemies against The HOLY SPIRIT never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation’–because they said, ‘He has an unclean spirit.’” Mark 3:28-30

 

“We the Church are at war with the devil! At the moment the devil is winning because most Christians would rather be an activist than an evangelist!” Mondo dela Vega

The problem is that when GOD calls you He makes you go through the training required for His calling. That may take years and much rejection and hardship!

From the time Samuel anointed David until he became kin was about 15 years. It was about 17 years between Paul’s conversion and his first missionary journey, Galatians 1:15-2:1.

 

A Scriptural description of Socialism: “The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy will be forced labor.” Proverbs 12:24

A socialist government makes the people depend on it for everything, this makes the people dependent and lazy and then the government enslaves the people forcing them work for almost nothing.

I heard a TV Pastor say, “The best motivation for obeying GOD is rewards in Heaven!”?

I disagree! Following are 3 reasons why:

Philippians 3:7-11 Paul says that all things in this life are rubbish ends by saying, “If by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”

James 1:2-27, 2:14-26 James tells us to be doers and not just hearers of The Word and that faith without works is dead, ending with the statement, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

1 John 3:4-9 John says that whoever is born of GOD cannot sin, yet in 2:1-2 he says that if we sin JESUS is our Advocate before The Father as He the Propitiation for our sins. In 4:10-11, “In this is Love, not that we loved GOD, but that He Loved us and sent His Son to be The Propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if GOD so Loved us, we ought also to Love one another.”

 

1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to GOD, Who gives us The Victory through our LORD JESUS CHRIST.”

JESUS overcame temptation and gave us His Victory! Hebrews 4:14-16

JESUS overcame sin and by shedding His Blood gave us His Victory! Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 9:22, 27-28

JESUS overcame death and by His Resurrection gave us Eternal Life! Romans 6:22-23

JESUS overcame hell and by taking our punishment gave us His Victory! 1 Corinthians 15:50-55

JESUS overcame sickness and disease by His scourging (stripes) and gave us His Victory! 1 Peter 2:24

JESUS overcame self will by His obedience and gave us His Victory! Hebrews 5:5-10

 

Pastor Bob Harris said, “If you don’t have a plan, GOD has nothing to direct in your life – think about that! GOD’s Plan and Will for your life is only found in His Word, so plan accordingly!”

Salvation is not a goal to achieve! Salvation is a Gift to be received! Romans 6:23

If I believe, I can receive the finished Work of Salvation! Romans 10:8-13

 

GOD did not give us The Revelation of JESUS CHRIST to spend all our time trying to figure it out.

GOD gave it to us to understand the signs of the times in which we live and so that we will be prepared for what is ahead and be proclaiming Salvation in JESUS CHRIST. Matthew 24:42-44

 

GOD is not after our righteousness through works. 2 Corinthians 5:21

GOD is after our obedience through faith! 1 Peter 1:13-16

We can never be righteous by our own standards. Ecclesiastes 7:20; Colossians 2:20-23

All we can be is obedient to GOD! 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Maybe it’s not what you want to do! James 1:26-27

Maybe it’s about what you were meant to do! Palm 139:13-18

GOD does not tell you the future He just wants you to obey!

Does GOD judge people and nations? Yes!

In Genesis 3 GOD judged Adam, the ground would not easily yield its fruit (17-19); Eve would have sorrow and pain in bearing and birthing children (16); and satan that JESUS (the woman’s seed) would crush his head (14-15). He judged Israel and sent them into captivity in Babylon for 70 years because they stopped keeping the Sabbath for the land (Exodus 31:16-17); Daniel 1:1-2; 9:1-2, 11-12.

 

Does GOD use circumstances to accomplish His Will? Yes!

In Acts 21-26 when Paul was being accused by the Hebrews of blaspheming the Law and desecrating the Temple (21:27-28), 40 men made a vow to no eat or drink until they killed him (23:11-), but GOD used that to have Paul moved to Caesarea (23:23-35) where he witnessed to two governors (24:24-27; 25:4-9) and a king (25:23, 26:1-2) before being sent to Rome (25:10, 21; 27; 28:16, 30-31).

 

Does GOD create circumstances to accomplish His Will? Yes!

In Exodus 1-12 when the Hebrews were enslaved by the Egyptians (Exodus 1:8-11). GOD hardened Pharaoh’s heart (7:1-5; 11:9-10), and used it to display His Power to the nations (9:13-17). And, it actually started in Genesis 37-47 when Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery instead of killing him (37:18-22, 26-27; 39:1-2), this led to Pharaoh’s dream (41:1-8, 25) and Joseph’s interpretation of the dream, and the Hebrews coming to Egypt (47:1).

 

We need to stop calling on GOD for special protection and blessings when things are bad (Matthew 5:10-15, 10:34-39; James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 3:13-17; Hebrews 5:5-9).

We need to call on GOD for His Will to be done in our life and on the earth as it is in Heaven (Matthew 6:9-13).

JESUS endured persecution for our sakes, Psalm 34:19; Hebrew 12:1-3.

JESUS said to the seventy disciples, “Do not rejoice in the power you have in My Name, rejoice that your names are written in Heaven!” This is The Book of Life! Many do not like to read the lists of names and genealogies in The Bible, but this is evidence that GOD knows us and that our name and deeds are recorded in Heaven – and that one day we will be judged according to what is in those books. Luke 10:17-20; Revelation 20:11-15.

 

No matter the persecution and trials that we experience, having our name written in Heaven (The Book of Life) is greater than anything we will experience in this life.

The Sabbath:

Under the Law (Torah) that was give to Moses for the Israelis the 4^th Commandment was that they would rest on the 7^th day, Saturday, it was called the Sabbath day. They were to do no work, but rest because GOD rested on the 7^th day after creating everything that exists. Genesis 2:1-3, “Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them were finished. And on the seventh day GOD ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then GOD Blessed the seventh day and Sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which GOD had created and made.”

In Exodus 31:12-17 GOD clarifies this commandment, “And The LORD, spoke to Moses, saying ‘Speak also to the children of Israel, saying,: “Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I Am The LORD Who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you…Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days The LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”’”

 

This was specifically for Israel, no other nation was required to keep this commandment!

 

There is a lot of teaching in the Bible about the Sabbath, by the time we get to JESUS’ life in Israel, we see that the Sabbath has become a religious token of religious observance of the Torah rather than an actual celebration of rest and a day to worship GOD. JESUS on several occasions takes the religious leaders of His day to task for their misconstrued practice of the Sabbath. In Luke 13:10-17 we see an example, “Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. When JESUS saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, ‘Woman , you are loosed from your infirmity.’ And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified GOD. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because JESUS healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, ‘There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.’ The LORD then answered him and said, ‘Hypocrite! Does not each of one you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom satan has bound–think of it–for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?’ And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame, and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things done by Him.”

 

Sunday:

Since JESUS rose from the dead on Sunday - the first day of the week (John 20:1) most Christians have celebrated this day as their version of the Sabbath. It did not start this way early on since most Christians were Jewish. Early on there were Judean Christians who believed that the new Gentile believers needed to follow the Law when it came to such things as circumcision and the Sabbath. The Apostles and early Church leaders knew this was not true and spoke out against trying to force Gentile believers to follow the Torah. In Acts 15:1-35 we see an example of this, “And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, ‘Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.’ Therefore, Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders about this question…And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that GOD had done through them. But some of the sect of The Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, ‘It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the Law of Moses.’ Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter…And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, ‘Men and brethren, listen to me: Simon has declared how GOD at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His Name. and with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: “After this I will return and rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild it’s ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My Name, says The LORD Who does all these things. Know to GOD from eternity are all His Works. Therefore I judge we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to GOD, but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood. For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.’ Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas who was also named Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren…”

 

But before long Christians began to worship and fellowship on Sunday, Acts 20:7, “Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.” Paul expounded on this principle in Colossians 2:16-17, “So let no one judge you in food or drink, regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of CHRIST.” Also study 1 Corinthians 16:1

 

There is no Bible doctrine about worshipping on Saturday or Sunday, it is a matter of personal choice what day you worship and fellowship on. Some have made it a denominational or church doctrine, but that is a religious issue not a Biblical one. The main emphasis is on taking one day a week to rest. Pastors and church staff don’t rest on Sunday, they are working. They rest on Monday, unless they have a regular job. If GOD enjoyed a day of rest after created everything that exists and He ordered the Hebrew people, His chosen people to reveal Himself and His Kingdom to the nations, to take a day of rest it must be important. But there is more to this issue that we will not try to cover in this already long explanation. Not just the people, but the land was supposed to rest every seven years, and finances were supposed to rest every seven years.

Isaiah 43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

1. The first step in healing our hurts is to really understand what is happening to you.

2. We must be willing to face the truth of what has happened to us, why it has happened to us, and what to do about it; those truths are only revealed in God’s word.

3. Depression comes when we suppress the truth rather than face the truth.

4. Holding on to hurts put us into bondage; facing the truth about our hurts opens us to deliverance.

5. Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence]. 32 Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave [c]you. KJV Amiflied Bible.

6. John 8:32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

7. Knowing and facing the truth of what has happened to you and what it has done to you is vital to breaking through and getting rid of the oppression and depression that has kept you into bondage.

8. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

9. Whatever we confess before God will release us from the bondage that accompanies it.

10. Holding on to your hurts causes you to miss the best that God has for you.

ELOHIM (GODS) is the Name of The One True GOD Who is Triune in Nature (FATHER, SON, SPIRIT). He created everything that exists; when He created man He created them as a dual being (male, female) but triune in nature (spirit, soul, body). Then ELOHIM saw that man needed a companion but there was nothing in His creation that was a perfect companion for man. So He put man to sleep and removed his rib and created woman. Then ELOHIM put the man and the woman together in marriage so that they are again One; (this was before there were any parents to leave).

 

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become Children of GOD, to those who believe in His Name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of man, but of GOD. For GOD so Loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting Life. For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 1:12-13: 3:16-17

“’Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in GOD, believe also in Me. In My Father’s House are many dwellings; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Man was created in GOD’s Image to be One with Him, but sin divided man from GOD. But, GOD had a plan even before creation. JESUS was born as The Son of Man, not by man but by The SPIRIT in the flesh so that He was the Son of GOD and The Son of Man. He came to redeem humanity from eternal judgment to Eternal Salvation. In the process of being Born Again we are reunited with ELOHIM so that we become Children of GOD – joint heirs with JESUS of ELOHIM’s Eternal Kingdom. We are called to do GOD’s Will: proclaim the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST to the ends of the earth. “Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He was risen. And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach The Gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: in My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’” Mark 16:14-18
