Created In The Image of GOD And Be Holy For I Am Holy

In my paper, Created In The Image Of GOD, I spoke of the fact that lucifer hates humanity because he was created to reflect the image of GOD, but we are created in the image of GOD. This means that when lucifer or any angel leaves the presence of GOD through rebellion or becomes lawless they no longer reflect His image, but humans, even ones who deny GOD exists and those who join the devils rebellion against GOD are still the image of GOD.

Another factor is that there is no salvation for the angels that rebelled against GOD, but GOD planned our salvation before He created the earth or us! “Then He will also speak to those on His left, saying, ‘Get away from Me, you who are cursed! Go off into the fire prepared for the adversary and his angels!’” Matthew 25:41 CJB “…into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” Matthew 25:41b NKJV

 “’You are My witnesses,’ says ADONAI, ‘and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you can know and trust Me and understand that I Am He – no god was produced before Me, nor shall any be after Me. I, yes, I, am ADONAI; besides Me there is no deliver. I have declared, saved and proclaimed – not some alien god among you. Therefore you are My witnesses,’ says ADONAI. ‘I Am GOD. Since days began, I have been He. No one can deliver from My hand. When I act, who can reverse it?’” Isaiah 43:10-13 CJB “…I, even I, am the LORD, and besides Me there is no savior. I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you.” Isaiah 43:11-12a NKJV

In my paper, Holy, I spoke of how we are called to be holy as GOD is Holy and that GOD is Holy because He is the only true and living GOD, He is set apart from everything and so we are to be set apart from everything that is not GOD.

GOD’s greatest attribute is Holiness! The Bible teaches that there is no one or nothing that is like GOD or that can stand before GOD on its own merit! In Isaiah 6, Isaiah saw GOD and the seraphim above Him calling to one another, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” Isaiah 6:3 NKJV In Revelation, John describes the four living creatures he sees in Heaven and that they do not rest day or night, saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD GOD Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” which is followed by the twenty-four elders falling down before GOD’s throne and saying, “You are worthy, O LORD (Our LORD and GOD), to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things and by Your will they are created.” Revelation 4:8a, 11 NKJV

“I have given them Your Word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world – just as I Myself do not belong to the world; I don’t ask you to take them out of the world, but to protect them from the evil one. They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. Set them apart for holiness by means of the Truth – Your Word is Truth. Just as you sent Me into the world, I have sent them into the world. On their behalf I am setting Myself apart for holiness, so they too may be set apart for holiness by means of the Truth.” John 17:14-19 CJB

JESUS said, “GOD is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth.”; “And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.”; “JESUS said to him, I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 4:24, 8:32, 14:6

There are some things that we cannot do for ourself: we cannot save or redeem ourself (salvation – sozo). This is only done by receiving what JESUS CHRIST did by His life, death, resurrection and ascension! Sanctification, healing, deliverance, righteousness these are all done for us by JESUS CHRIST; GOD’s gift and call for us is given to us by GOD in our mother’s womb. What we do is believe by faith (trust) in GOD’s Word that JESUS is who it says He is and that He did what it says He did; and that faith is a free gift from GOD. After that what we must do is repent “…to be holy because I Am Holy.” 1 Peter 1:16 CJB

Repentance is the act of changing what we do and how we live that is how we become holy! Holiness is being set apart to GOD only nothing else can control or demand our heart, attention or obedience! This is the only thing GOD calls us to do, while being in the world not being part of the world. To be part of His eternal Kingdom we must obey JESUS’ commands and do the works of His Kingdom in the earth as it is in Heaven. This is “working out our salvation with fear and trembling”; “storing up treasures in Heaven not in the earth”; “serving GOD not mammon”; “having the same mind that was in JESUS”; “being conformed to CHRIST’s death by the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering”.

JESUS said in the Gospels and Revelation, “Go and sin no more!” The Apostles in every letter tell us to stop sinning like the world and start living like CHRIST.

Study Genesis 1 (Job 38:1-7, Psalm 102:25, Proverbs 8:22-31 ,Revelation 3:14); Psalm 3:8 (Matthew 1:21, John 3:15-17, Romans 1:16-17, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 2:1-4); Isaiah 6 (Numbers 14:11-25, Psalm 72:18-19); Matthew 20:23, 25:31-46; Luke 2:29-32 (Isaiah 52:10, Acts 10:45, 13:27, 15:13-21, 28:28); John 1:1-5, 17:20-26; Romans 9:23; 1 Corinthians 2:9; 2 Corinthians 5:5; Ephesians 1:3-14 (Exodus 32:32), 2:10; Philippians; Colossians; Hebrews 11:16; Revelation 4 (Matthew 6; John 1:1-5; Revelation 1:4-8), 13:8-9, 17:8, 19:20, 20:10, 14-15, 21:8.

Actually we should study (not just read) and meditate (think on) the whole Bible as often as we can! JESUS said He came to fulfill the Law and that not one minute part of His Word (the Old Testament) would pass away or fail. JESUS is the Living Word and we must know Him if we are to live in and for Him.
