Faith
Sometimes we get to the end of our options. To the end of what is within
our grasp and ability to control.
This is where we have a choice.
We can stop moving altogether and risk going backwards.
Or we can let go of the control and fear of the unknown and unseen and
believe that our Creator is in control.
Not being able to see around the bend and understand His plan completely is
very challenging. And often it feels overwhelming.
But He doesn't expect us to understand. He desires for our faith to grow.
And the only way that happens is when we walk in faith.
And the only way to walk in faith is to move in the direction of the
unknown.
Faith won't grow unless you give action to it.
If God were to tell us all the details of each step of our journey, then
how will we learn to trust Him?
We won't.
Moses listened and obeyed and they arrived at the red sea.
Abraham listened and obeyed and he raised a knife to his promised son on
the altar.
Noah listened and obeyed and built a large boat for all the animals when
there was no rain.
When we have faith and listen and obey, it may take us to a red sea; it may
look like sacrificing a promise; or doing something that at that moment, really
makes zero sense.
And that's just it, sometimes it doesn't make sense. I would say that
often, it doesn't make sense. Because in the end, HE gets ALL the glory.
But it ALWAYS makes sense to trust and obey and walk in faith.
