Is GOD
Judging The World?
Yes!
Psalm 119:65-68, “You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your Word. Teach me Good Judgment and Knowledge, for I believe Your Commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your Word. You are Good, and do Good; teach me Your Statutes.” Oswald Chambers said, “GOD’s order has to work up to a crisis in our lives because we will not heed the gentler way. If the crisis has come to you on any line, surrender your will to Him absolutely and irrevocably.”
Many Christians do not believe that GOD is judging the world, but why? The history of humanities rebellion against GOD (beginning with Adam and Eve) proves that GOD judges us as individuals, as nations and as the whole world. GOD’s judgment is twofold, first to correct our thinking and behavior and second is the reward for our behavior, good or bad.
GOD judged the devil, Adam and Eve each for their part in the fall of man and the eternal judgment that was the result. Adam and Eve’s judgment for their actions was both natural and eternal. They lost their immortality and they then had to work at life rather than just enjoy GOD’s provision. We see this pattern throughout the Scriptures.
Also the nation of Israel is a pattern of GOD’s present judgment and His eternal judgment. His present judgment was to call them to repentance about how they were thinking and living; His eternal judgment was about Heaven or hell. When the sin of Israel got too great GOD let their enemies rule over them. When they changed their thinking about obeying GOD, He gave them peace. Those who refused to change got hell rather than paradise (to await CHRIST).
It is the same in the world today GOD is judging all the nations for their lawless rebellion against Him. The calamities humanity is experiencing in all the world is GOD calling us to repent of our self motivated thinking and lifestyle. This is leading, just as JESUS said, to a worldwide rejection of GOD and the rise of the man of sin who will rule the world for a short time; the anti-christ and the great tribulation.
Many reject this teaching of JESUS about the end times and some do not believe in the millennial Reign of CHRIST over the nations. But the Scriptures, especially JESUS’ teachings are clear that these things are going to happen and that judgment on the nations is the warning of their soon arrival. As these catastrophic events increase in number and destructive power those who heed GOD’s call to repentance will be saved; even though they have to go through and experience them with everyone else. This was also exampled by Israel, whole families, cities, tribes and the nation experienced GOD’s judgments, even the righteous.
There are many good people in the world today who are suffering as the result of the world’s sins, there are Christians who are suffering with the rest of humanity for the sin of the world. GOD is calling the world to repent of their thinking and lifestyle of rebellion and lawlessness. GOD is calling the lost to come to JESUS and change their life; He is calling the saved to declare GOD’s Love and Salvation to the lost in the midst of the tribulations of life, that are only going to increase as the time of the man of sin arrives.
The man of sin will bring a short peace (three and one half years) and then the greatest tribulation will happen until CHRIST returns to establish His millennial reign (with a rod of iron) over the nations. Contrary to popular teaching the Church will be on the earth during the tribulation and many Christians will suffer torment and death.
I started this paper as a letter to the many Christians I hear from who are in desperate situations due to bad governments, natural and manmade catastrophes and war. The more I wrote the more I heard the voice of HOLY SPIRIT, Who changed my attitude. As the body of CHRIST we have to do all we can as individuals, families, groups, fellowships, ministries, churches and denominations to help our brothers and sisters in need as well as the lost who need to see the Love of GOD in action. In these days and as they progress to the end of days we need to be in prayer and fasting for what GOD has called us too and we have to be obedient to what GOD tells us to do.
Seek GOD First!
GOD Bless, Bob & Charlene
