Only One GOD

 

Exodus 20:1-5, “Then GOD spoke all these Words saying, ‘I Am ADONAI your GOD, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me. Do not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or on the earth below or in the water under the earth. Do not bow down to them do not let anyone make you serve them. For, I ADONAI your GOD, as a jealous GOD…’”

 

Seems clear enough! So why did GOD speak through Hosea, “But now they sin more and more. They made themselves molten images, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them work of the craftsmen. They say about them: ‘Let those who sacrifice kiss the calves.’ Therefore, they will be like morning clouds, like dew passing away early, like chaff blown from the threshing floor, or like smoke from a chimney.’ Yet, I have been ADONAI your GOD since the land of Egypt. You should know no GOD but Me, and there is no Savior apart from Me.”? Hosea 13:2-4

 

That was to Israel, what about to the modern world? John 3:16-17, “For GOD so Loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him the world might be saved.”

 

Seems clear enough! So why did JESUS say, “And He said, ‘Watch out that you are not led astray! For many will come in My Name, saying, “I am He” and “The time is near!” Do not follow them.’”? Luke 21:8 And why did Paul say, “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey The Truth, before whose eyes JESUS CHRIST was clearly portrayed as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: did you receive The SPIRIT by works of the Law, or by the hearing of Faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in The SPIRIT, are you now being made prefect by the flesh?” Galatians 3:1-3

 

From Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 GOD has revealed Himself and His plan of Salvation for Humanity. Why is it so hard to just believe and obey?
