The Foundation Of Wisdom!

 The Foundation Of Wisdom!

JESUS is the only foundation we should be building our life on! 1 Corinthians 3:9-17.

JESUS is Truth and Wisdom is the expression of Truth! John 15:26.

When we understand that we are a sinner and we are going to eternal damnation, out of the fear of The LORD we cry out for salvation in JESUS The CHRIST. GOD’s Holy SPIRIT comes into our life and the process of repentance and being Holy to GOD begins. Hebrews 6:1-3, 9:14-15; 1 Peter 2:1-10.

On the foundation of Wisdom - The Holy SPIRIT that lives in Born Again Believers (there are those who believe but are not born again) - we build with the Knowledge of GOD gained by His SPIRIT from His Word and by our experience in serving Him (or not serving Him). Proverbs 1:7, 28-33;2:1-9; 3:7-8; 9:10-12; 10:27-29; 15:33.

As we acquire that Knowledge we grow in Faith and maturity so that The Holy SPIRIT can direct us according to The Father’s Will and Purpose! John 14:25-26; 15:26;  16:5-15.

As you study the following Scriptures you will see that JESUS is the Sure Foundation on which our life should be built; that building is a progression of changes that we make under the guidance of The Holy SPIRIT in how we live our life.

Repentance is changing how we think about GOD, being Holy is how we live to GOD in Christ JESUS; and this will be for the rest of our natural life!

Psalm 118:22-24; Isaiah 8:11-15, 28:16-19; Acts 8:14-17, 17:30-31, 24:25; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesian 2:19-22; 2 Timothy 2:11-16.

Praying The Promises of GOD. Pastor Tony Kim

 Praying the promises of God.

Pastor Tony Kim

IF THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO NEEDS A BREAKTHROUGH, NEEDS A VICTORY, NEEDS CONFIDENCE IN GOD TO COME THROUGH…THIS IS FOR YOU!

Of all the messages I have ever taught, this is the most significant and asked the most. Let’s talk about my favorite subjects here. Breakthrough, trump, victories; guaranteed by God and His word.

2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Check this out. God has planned victory for you. Not just one but a life full of them. This scripture says God is at work, before you were born, even when you were a sinner, since you have become a believer and the rest of your life on this planet, causing us to triumph IN HIM.

Paul says it this way in Romans 8:37 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” This is also Paul’s thought earlier in 8:28 where he declares, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Then once more in 1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

So let me get these promises that God has made to me in order so I can see them for what they are.

   1) 2 Corinthians 2:14 God is always causing us to triumph in Christ.

   2) Romans 8:37 God has (past tense) made us more than conquerors through Christ.

   3) Romans 8:28 We know, did you get that, not wonder or we will see, WE KNOW! that all things are working together for our good.

   4) 1 John 4:4 Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.

There are so many other promises we could include, but these should be enough to get your confidence and encouragement motor Revving at full potential, it did mine.

So what is missing? Why isn’t this happening in my life right now? What am I missing? Matthew 7:7, 8 says “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

I know you say you have, but I assure you that these verses written in a different language and culture assume more than permission but a declaration.

Let me help you with this. Every morning, when I get up and reach my office there is a list of these scriptures taped to my desk. As I talk to God I declare each one of these promises. I say,

“Thank You God, You are always causing me to triumph in whatever is prepared for me this day.

Thank You God, You have created me in Christ Jesus not just to conquer, but be more than a conqueror in whatever You give me to do.

Thank You, God,that You are causing everything I go through today to happen for my benefit whether I see it or not.

Thank You, God, that the Christ in me is greater than anything that can happen to me.”

Then I end my prayer with,”Thank You God, because You Promised me these things, I am going to take You at your word and fully expect to see them happening in my life today . THANK YOU GOD!”

This works well for me, I hope it will for you.

GOD Uses Evil?

 GOD Uses Evil?

In 1 Samuel 16, GOD removed His SPIRIT from King Saul and gave it to David, whom Samuel had just anointed to be king, then He gave an evil spirit to Saul.

“So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. From that day on The SPIRIT of The LORD came mightily upon David. Then Samuel rose up and went to Ramah. Now The SPIRIT of The LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from The LORD terrified him…It came to pass, whenever, the spirit from GOD came upon Saul, David would take the harp and play it with his hand. So Saul would find relief and feel better, as the evil spirit departed from him.” (16:13-14, 23) (Study 16:13-23)

In 2 Chronicles 18, GOD used one of His spirits to deceive over 400 prophets of Israel. “Micaiah continued, ‘Therefore hear The Word of The LORD. I saw The LORD sitting on His Throne with the whole Host of Heaven standing on His right and on His left. And The LORD said: “Who will entice Ahab king of Israel to go up and fall at Ramoth-Gilead?” Then one said this and another said that, until a spirit came forward and stood before The LORD and said, “I will entice him.” So The LORD said to Him, “How?” He answered, “I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.” Then He said, “You will entice him and you will succeed. Go and do so.”’” (18:18-21) GOD used one of His Heavenly Host to deceive Israel’s prophets. (Study 2 Chronicles 18)

GOD’s Will will always be done! He uses everything and everyone available to accomplish His Will, because He is The Creator of everything that exists, and nothing and no one can resist His Will.

GOD used Noah to save the human race from extinction during the flood, Genesis chapters 6-10.

GOD used Joseph to save Jacob’s family, Egypt and all the nations that were affected by the 7 year drought. Genesis chapters 37, 39-47

GOD used Pharaoh to show His Power to the nations. Exodus chapters 9-11 (He hardened Pharaoh’s heart) Romans 9:17

GOD used Moses and Aaron to bring the children of Israel out of slavery in Egypt. Exodus chapters 1-13

GOD used many men and women to deliver the children of Israel after He used their enemies to persecute them to repentance.Judges

GOD used Nebuchadnezzar to punish the Israelites for not honoring the Sabbath. 2 Kings chapters 24-25; 2 Chronicles 36; Jeremiah 25:7-14

GOD used religious and political leaders to crucify JESUS. John chapters 18-19

GOD used JESUS to bring Salvation to all who will receive it. John 3:16-17

GOD used Saul of Tarsus to write most of The New Testament. Romans through Hebrews

GOD will use those who are willing and those who do not even know He is using them to accomplish His Will. Are you willing to be used by GOD, no matter the cost to you? The Bible

Is JESUS GOD?

 https://youtu.be/8ea0rWlb-Zk

Is JESUS GOD?

The question was posed to me, "Did JESUS ever say He was GOD?" The quick answer is Yes!

In the book of John in The Bible, JESUS is declared as GOD and calls Himself GOD!

Genesis 1:1-2 "In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And The SPIRIT of GOD was hovering over the face of the waters."

John 1 :1-4, 14 "In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with GOD, and The Word was GOD. He was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men…And The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, the Glory of The Only Begotten of The Father, full of Grace and Truth."

Here we see "the beginning" described in detail in Genesis 1 and John 1; we have GOD (Elohim) who is One GOD and yet He is The Father, The Son and The Spirit. JESUS is The Word Who became flesh. JESUS is clearly called GOD, He is The Word Who became flesh Who is GOD; His birth was prophesied hundreds of years before His birth and His birth and genealogy are fully documented in the Bible; His birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension to Heaven are recorded by those who knew him in the flesh and as GOD; Paul who had a personal encounter with JESUS a decade or so after His ascension to Heaven said that JESUS is the Fulness of The GOD Head (Father, Son, Spirit), in Colossians 2:9. (Study Isaiah 7:10-17; Matthew 1; Luke 1, 2; Colossians 2:6-10)

But that is not JESUS saying He is GOD!

John 5:18 "Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that GOD was His Father, making Himself equal with GOD." While JESUS did not say "I am GOD" the Jewish religious leaders understood the point He was making, that He is GOD. In John 10:30 JESUS made that statement more clearly, "I and My Father are One." (Study John 5:16-23; 10:22-30).

In John 6:35 JESUS says, "I am The Bread of Life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." Only GOD can do that. (Study John 6:22-40).

But in John 8:58 JESUS does say that He is GOD, "JESUS said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.'" This is the same Name that GOD gave for Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:13-15, "Then Moses said to GOD, 'Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, "The GOD of your fathers has sent me to you," and they say to me, "What is His Name?" what shall I say to them?' And GOD said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM.' And He said, 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me.' Moreover GOD said to Moses, 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: "The LORD GOD of your fathers, The GOD of Abraham, The GOD of Isaac, and The GOD of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, and this is My Memorial to all generations."'" (Study Exodus 3:7-15; John 8:48-59). JESUS is clearly saying I AM GOD.

The Spirit of GOD

https://youtu.be/TTkYrbwDYJg

The SPIRIT of GOD!

The Holy SPIRIT of GOD is everywhere!

Stop asking Him to come! He is already here, He is always here. Stop asking Him to do things, ask Him what He wants you to do! He is GOD and therefore He is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent!

He already came permanently! Study Acts 2.

If we have been doing GOD’s will, instead of asking GOD’s SPiRIT to come and Bless us we should be asking Him to use us by pouring out The Living Water (gifts, ministries, etc.) through our lives.

“Don’t you know that you are GOD’s Temple and GOD’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys GOD’s Temple, GOD will destroy him; for GOD’s Temple is holy, and you are that Temple,” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

When we become a Christian GOD puts His SPIRIT in us, we are vessels of The Holy SPIRIT, we have Living Water in us that GOD wants to flow out according to His Purpose and timing. Holy SPIRIT is not at our beck and call so people can see how spiritual we are.

Christians are those who know and confess that JESUS CHRIST is The Only Begotten Son of GOD Almighty - The True and Living GOD! That He died on the cross to take away our sins. That He rose from the dead on the third day. That He ascended to The Heavenly Father’s right hand. That GOD sent The Holy SPIRIT to live in every believer. And that JESUS is the Head of His Body - The Church in the earth!

The Holy SPIRIT - The SPIRIT of GOD is everywhere in creation. We need to allow Him to move in and through us! (John 7:37-39)

Study Genesis 1:1-2, 6:3; Isaiah 11:1-2, 42:1-4, 61:1-3; Ezekiel 2:1-2, 36:22-28; Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 1:18-21, 3:16-17, 12:16-21; Mark 1:7-12,13:11; Luke 1:35, 1:67, 2:25-27; 3:21-22, 11:9-13, 12:8-12; John 1:29-34; 3:1-7; 4:23-24, 7:37-39, 14:15-18; Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 2:16-21, 13:1-3, 19:1-7; Romans 8:8-11, 8:26-27, 14:16-18; 1 Corinthians 2:9-16, 3:16-17, 12; 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, 3:16-18; Galatians 3:1-9, 4:1-7; Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:1-6; 1 Timothy 4:1-5; Hebrews 6:4-8; James 4:5-7; 1 Peter 1:10-12, 3:18-20; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 1 John 2:20-21, 3:24-4:3, 4:12-16, 5:6-8; Jude 16-23; Revelation 1:10-17, 2:7,11,17,29, 3:6,13,22,  22:17. These are just a few of The Scriptures about GOD’s Holy SPIRIT.

Get to know your GOD through your imagination! (Hebrew 11:1)

Imagining GOD

 https://youtu.be/WirunOI-G6c

How Do You Think About GOD?

Do not think about GOD using logic or intellect, do not try to understand GOD!

GOD is Spirit and Truth and He can only be known by spirit and truth!

Think about GOD with your imagination!

Think about JESUS The Messiah with your imagination!

Think about The SPIRIT of GOD, The Holy SPIRIT with your imagination!

You can never know GOD unless you can imagine Him; you can know about GOD using logic, reasoning, and intellect; but you cannot know GOD unless you have a personal relationship with Him! You must have a personal relationship with GOD, JESUS and Holy SPIRIT. JESUS said, “I Am The Good Shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My Own.” (John 10:14) “I Am The Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) “However, when He, The SPIRIT of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His Own Authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (John 16:13) “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may know that You sent Me.” (John 17:20-21)

GOD is personal! He adopts us, we are His Children, join heirs with JESUS CHRIST of His Eternal Kingdom. So use your imitation when you think about them because They are greater than you can imagine.

Imagine when They created everything that exists; you can imagine the “Big Bang” theory; so it is the same, only it happened when GOD said, “Let there be light!” BANG There was light! Before the sun, moon and stars were created, there was light!

The SPIRIT of GOD created JESUS’s human body in Mary’s womb - He just did it and JESUS left His Glory in Heaven and became an embryo that was born of the flesh but not of a man.

GOD, Who created time stopped it once (Joshua 10:12-14); and He turned it back once (Isaiah 38:4-8). Imagine what people in the whole world thought of those events when they did not know how or why they happened.

GOD destroyed whole armies to defend Israel; he made one army blind and led them into captivity. He ordained that a king named Cyrus of the Meads and Persians would set the Israelites free from their captivity hundreds of years before Cyrus was born or the Meads and Persians were rulers of vast territories.

When you read The Bible, use your imagination to see how extraordinary the things that He does are. “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things that GOD has prepared for those who love Him.’ But GOD has revealed them to us through His SPIRIT. For The SPIRIT searches all things, yes the deep things of GOD.”” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (Study Isaiah 64)

Think of the inventions of humanity, where did they come from? GOD!

GOD gave humans great minds to imagine things that did not exist and then to create them. Steam engines, internal combustion engines, rocket engines, electricity, telegraphs and telephones, radios, trains, automobiles, power propelled ships made of steel, airplanes, spaceships, the list goes on and on. GOD did not just give the idea, He showed how to make the materials from what He had already created so that the inventions could be made.

“Seek you first The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) So that we would not worry about the things in life that we need. You can imagine the things that you need for life; can’t you imagine GOD providing them for you. Can you imagine GOD providing what you need to fulfill His Will for your life?

Time

https://youtu.be/2jY02Uf2GOY

 Time

Isaiah 33:1-4 “Oy, you destroyer, never destroyed, you traitor, never betrayed!

When you have stopped destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you finish betraying, they will betray you.

ADONAI, be Gracious to us!

We long for You.

Be our strength every morning, our Salvation in times of trouble.

From the noise of tumult people will flee; when You lift Yourself up, the nations will be scattered.

Your spoil is gathered as the caterpillar gathers; like a swarm of locusts, they are rushing over it.”

GOD does things according to His Purpose, not according to our desire, plans or timing!

JESUS told us to, ”Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 (If you have been a Christian very long you have heard that preached and they tell us that in the Greek it says, “Ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, knock and keep on knocking.”) JESUS goes on to say in Matthew 7:11, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

And if you have been a Christian for a while you know that GOD always hears our prayers and always answers our prayers. But, it is according to His Will and timing for us. GOD is not controlled by time! GOD created time to regulate all of creation to accomplish His Will!

So, what is the point of this message?

GOD has told us some things about time:

It is out of our control! This is the most important thing about time that we need to know and live by. GOD is in control of time and what happens when, where and how. “He said to them, ‘It is not your place to know the times or seasons which The Father has placed under His Own Control.” (Matthew 24:36, 42, 44; 25:13; Acts 1:7; 1 Thessalonians  5:1-2) Now do not narrow the scope of what JESUS said because their question had to do with His eternal reign from Jerusalem. What JESUS said applies to all of history, past, present and future.

Also, don’t be confused about the control of our life and GOD’s timing; we have control over our life and when we decide to do or not to do something our life is affected. We will also affect other people’s lives; but we do not affect GOD’s Purpose and Timing!

We are to be Holy because He is HOLY! GOD has told humanity from the beginning to be Holy to Him. What does that mean?

Something that is holy is set apart for a special purpose, no matter its value, so how is GOD HOLY? GOD is HOLY because He is The Only GOD, there are no other gods; and He created everything that exists! He is Above everything and everyone! He created everything for His Own Good Pleasure (Genesis 1:1; Leviticus 20:7-8, 26; Deuteronomy 10:17; Psalm 86:10; Malachi 3:2-3; Luke 12:32; Romans 11:34-36; Ephesians 1:3-6, 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Revelation 4:8-11 [in the KJV it says “...for Your Good Pleasure.”])!

So we must set our desires aside for the Purposes of GOD, we must do what He tells us to do when He tells us to do it, where He tells us to do it, and how He tells us to do it.

JESUS said, “For I have come down from Heaven, not to do My Own Will, but The Will of Him Who sent Me.” (Luke 22:42; John 3:15-19, 5:19, 30; 6:38; 8:28-29).

We are to obey His Commandments! “Then JESUS said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My Word. you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know The Truth, and The Truth shall make you free.’” John 8:31-32. (Deuteronomy 28:1, 15; Mark 8:34-38)

We are to be patient! Patience is also translated as persevering, this is hard, waiting is not a strong human habit in our modern fast paced society, we are used to getting what we want now. But GOD requires us to grow and learn through our life so that He can trust us with His Will as He trusted JESUS. “For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward GOD one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before GOD.” 1 Peter 2: 19-20. (Romans 12:10-13; James 1:3-4, 4:13-17)

Revelation 1:9, “I, John, both your brother and companion of the tribulation and Kingdom and Patience of JESUS CHRIST, was on the island that was called Patmos for The Word of GOD and the testimony of JESUS CHRIST.” What is the patience of JESUS CHRIST? His whole life, birth to death. We see glimpses of it in the Scriptures: when He was twelve and He stayed in Jerusalem in the Temple; when His mother wanted Him to save a wedding in Cana before He began His Ministry; as He taught the disciples about humility rather than greatness; washing the disciples feet; as He prepared to be arrested and crucified. (Luke 2:41-50; John 2:1-12; Matthew 18:1-5; Luke 22:24-30; John 13:1-17; Luke 22:39-46)

So we know that our life is fleeting in the balance of time, but GOD is not pressured to get us to the point of obedient service without question. For some of us it takes longer than for others, that usually means it is harder also because of us. Yet when we are ready according to GOD’s Purpose and Timing He releases us to our calling. Then the real test begins!

Keeping The Law?

 https://youtu.be/389xJBg_5lQ

Keeping The Law?

“Do not think that I came to abolish The Law or The Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill...” What did JESUS mean when He said, He came to fulfill The Law and The Prophets? This is key to understanding the argument of Law or Grace. We see what JESUS said in the rest of the Gospels and what the disciples dealt with, with the Judisers who wanted to enforce the Law on gentile believers. (Study Matthew 5:17-7:29; Acts 15:1-35)

Let’s take an easy one: The Ten Commandments, which ones do we as Christians not have to keep any longer under GOD’s Grace? None of them, GOD still expects us to keep every one of The Ten Commandments! (Study Exodus 20:1-17)

1. Have no other gods before Me!

2. Make no graven images or likeness of anything in heaven or earth or the seas for yourself; do not worship any other gods or images!

3. Do not use GOD’s Name in vain!

4. Remember to set aside the Sabbath to GOD!

5. Honor your father and mother!

7. Do not commit adultery!

8. Do not steal!

9. Do not bear false witness!

10. Do not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor!

Have no other gods before Me, if you are a Christian you believe there is only one GOD, JEHOVAH (The Father, The Son and The Spirit), The Only True GOD Who created everything that exists. If you do not believe and practice this you are not a Christian! There are cultures and religions that allow you to add JEHOVAH and JESUS to their pantheon of gods like Hinduism. There are “Christian” religions that relegate JESUS to a lesser role than GOD (Jehovah Witness and Mormon). There is a religion that calls JESUS a prophet but puts their prophet above JESUS (Islam). Of course there are those who do not believe in GOD so they worship themselves. We, as Christians and as humans made in GOD’s Image are all expected to worship only The One True GOD, JEHOVAH. (Study Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Mark 12:29-30)

Make no graven image or likeness of anything in heaven or earth or the seas for yourself, do not worship or serve them for “I, ADONAI, your GOD, am a jealous GOD. bringing judgment or Blessing on the descendents of those who hate Me or Love Me! “ (this is the first commandment with a curse and a blessing - the iniquity of the fathers on the third and fourth generation or lovingkindness to thousands of generations) Seems pretty clear that GOD expects all of our Love and service, no wiggle room there.

Do not take GOD’s Name in vain, does this mean just in vulgar cursing like “GDI” or “GDI to hell”? (This is not just cursing and it is the second commandment with a judgment, “will not be held guiltless”).

JESUS told us not to be repetitive in prayer like the religious people (Matthew 6:5-8); in the prayer He taught the disciples He only said GOD’s Name (Father) once in about ten sentences (Matthew 6:9-13). What about flippantly, like “omg” or “gosh darn” or other such phrases? What about just saying “JESUS CHRIST!” in anger or frustration? These are all wrong!

This is a big one, “honor the Sabbath”, there is so much controversy over this commandment that families, churches, even denominations have divided. Before the flood there was no mention of a special day to gather and worship GOD, nor was there any mention of sacrifices made to Him except in Job 42:7-9. Noah was commanded to bring five extra each or 5 extra pairs of clean animals on the Ark for food and sacrifices after the flood. As part of GOD’s covenants with Abraham there were sacrifices, GOD told Abraham to sacrifice Issac his son as a test.

But there was no recorded formalized requirement to gather, worship and sacrifice to GOD on any day. Not until GOD led the Children of Israel out of bondage from Egypt and He gave them The Ten Commandments. This requirement was to Israel only! Other peoples who worshiped The Living GOD were not part of the Covenant and were not required to “Honor the Sabbath”.

JESUS said He is The LORD of the Sabbath, “And He said to them, ‘The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore, The Son of Man is also LORD of the Sabbath.’” Mark 2 :27-28 The requirement of The Law was fulfilled in JESUS as far as gathering and worshiping on the Sabbath.

Before the exile of the Jews under Nebuchadnezzar there were no Synagogues mentioned in The Bible. So the practice of going to Synagogue on Sabbath was still only a few hundred years old in JESUS’ day. This practice is believed to have started during the exile and after, before the Temple was rebuilt.

Paul said, “One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.” (Study Romans 14:1-13)

The disciples of JESUS gathered on the day of His resurrection, JESUS showed Himself several times on that Sunday.

The book of Acts does not mention any of the original believers going to Synagogue, only to the temple and house to house daily. Paul and Barnabas went to the Synagogues on the Sabbath as they traveled the world because that was where they knew they would find Jews and GOD fearers gathered together. Then they would proclaim the Gospel of JESUS.

The Holy SPIRIT of GOD was given to the believers on Pentecost (Shavuot), Pentecost always falls on a Sunday. Therefore it is reasonable that the believers in JESUS, both Jews and Gentiles, started gathering on Sunday to worship their risen Savior JESUS, since the non-believing Jews would persecute them and exclude them from the Synagogues and Sabbath gatherings.

Honor your father and mother; the first commandment with a Promise (Ephesians 6:1-3). The second commandment came with a Blessing and a curse, in the Law there are many Blessings and curses depending on how they were obeyed. Under the Law a child who curses their parents or dishonors their parents was commanded to be put to death. (Study Exodus 21:17; Leviticus 20:9; Matthew 15:3-11).

Marriage and family are very important to GOD, He instituted them from the beginning. (Study Genesis 1-3).

Do not commit adultery, what about the other sexual sins? (Study Leviticus 18).

Do not steal; Do not lie! These are hated by every culture in the earth. JESUS said, “But the cowardly and faithless and detestable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars - their lot is in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8, there is no excuse for unrepentant sin!

Do not covet or desire what your neighbor, or anybody else, has. Covetousness leads to murder, sexual immorality, stealing and lying. Covetousness leads to all other sins, things that you lust for that you do not have will corrupt your soul. “Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am being tempted by GOD’ - for GOD cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is dragged away and enticed by his own desire (lust). Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is full grown, it brings forth death.” (LSD - lust, sin, death) James 1:13-15.

Three Wills

Three Wills

There are three wills that we have to deal with daily in our life, the good, the bad, and the ugly! Or, GOD’s, the devil’s and our own! Each has a plan for our life:

Our own will is to be happy, healthy and successful in life, no matter the cost to others.

The devil’s will is to keep us from the Will (purpose) of GOD by whatever means he can. Addiction (drugs, alcohol, sex, possessions, work, money, gambling, etc.); immorality (lying, cheating, stealing, murder); sexual perversion (fornication, adultery, prostitution, homosexuality, beastility, rape); deception (false religions, corrupt politics, half truths, space aliens, etc.); he wants people to hate or distrust GOD; he wants people to not believe in GOD; so they are stolen from GOD’s Kingdom and condemned to eternal judgment with himself (there is no salvation for the rebellious heavenly host, Matthew 25:41; 2 Peter 2:4).

GOD’s will is for us to know Him, to believe and confess that JESUS is LORD and Savior and to obey His purpose for our life, so that we can join Him in His Eternal Kingdom of Heaven, John 3:15-21.

The deal is you can only choose and live one will at a time and only one will results in eternal salvation; GOD’s! This happens because someone told us about JESUS (shared The Gospel) and we believed. Now that we believe in JESUS as Saviour and LORD we must yield our will to The Father’s just as He did. If we still try to live our will as a Christian we will fail (Matthew 7:21-29). The devil knows how to make his will look like it is our will but it only leads to bondage and death.

GOD’s Will for our life: we each have a personal purpose in His Kingdom on the earth and a universal purpose. The universal purpose for every believer is to proclaim the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST to all that we can, to lay hands on the sick and see them recover, to cast out demons, to raise the dead and to make disciples and to obey the commandments of JESUS. Our personal purpose in GOD’s Kingdom is based on the gift He gave us as He formed us in our mother’s womb. As we seek Him we will discover our gift and His SPIRIT will teach us from The Bible how to live and use this gift (being discipled).

Philippians 2:12-13 “...work out your own salvation with Fear and Trembling; for it is GOD Who Works in you both to will and to do for His Good Pleasure.”

Are You One?

 Are You One?

One - a few worldly things about One:

According to the Bee Gees, One is the loneliest number.

According to the US Army, you can be an Army of One.

In all forms of math one plus one equals two.

What does The Bible say about One?

There is One True GOD Who is triune!

Before GOD a man and a woman joined together are One!

Those who believe in the One True GOD can be One with Him through JESUS.

What does this say about being an individual? That we were never meant to be an individual! GOD created humanity in His Image so that we can be One with Him. He ordained before He created the earth that JESUS would take away the sins of humanity so that we could be One with Him through adoption. GOD Calls and Gifts us in our mother’s womb so that we can be One with Him.

So why do we want to be an individual alone - on our own? Before I became a Christian and since I became a Christian I have desired to be alone and enjoyed being alone, even though I’ve been married for 48 years. There are times when we all need to be alone, usually not for very long. We certainly need to be alone with GOD regularly.

Over the years I have thought that if I was alone I could serve GOD better, more dedicated. That may not be true. But from the beginning of creation GOD has meant for us to not be alone; that is why after Adam reviewed and named all the creatures that GOD had made on the earth, GOD saw that he needed a helper, a companion. So, GOD made Adam into male and female beings, He had made Adam as a complete human being both male and female, One.

GOD saw that it would be better to separate them and have them joined in marriage (which He created just for the purpose of rejoining the male and female into One being).”This is why a man leaves his father and his mother, and clings to his wife; and they become One flesh.” Genesis 2:24

Wait! When GOD did that there were no fathers and mothers! The only humans were Adam and Eve who He just separated from Adam. So GOD separated Adam into Adam and Eve (male and female) so that they could be joined together again in marriage. That is why GOD puts such a high emphasis on marriage.

Marriage between a man and a woman represents the unity we have with The Father through JESUS CHRIST, in fact in The Bible believes in JESUS are called the Bride and JESUS is called the Groom and there will be a Marriage of The Church with JESUS so that we are One. Believers are also called The Body of CHRIST and JESUS is the Head of the body, so that we are One with each other and One with JESUS.

If you have a hard time with what I’m saying it is probably because you are not reading The Bible to learn what GOD is saying to you. Read it slowly, read it everyday, if you do not have a lot of time then read one or two chapters in the Old Testament and one or two chapters in the New Testament. Start with Genesis and Matthew and read through, I try to read at least six chapters of the Bible a day, but I have been doing this for a long time. I divide The Bible into Genesis to Job, Song of Solomon to Malachi, Matthew to Acts and ! Corinthians to Revelation, plus I try to read a couple of Psalms and the chapter of Proverbs of the day’s date.

As you read the Scriptures thoughtfully asking The HOLY SPIRIT to teach you what He wants you to know you will be amazed how much you find the same themes throughout The Bible. Like Unity, being One with GOD and others, from the beginning when He made us in His Image to Revelation where we are One with CHRIST in His Eternal Kingdom.
