Woke?

 

I’m sure you have heard the term “woke” lately; to me it seems to mean that whatever the left says we should believe is the truth and when we admit that we believe what they say is the truth then we are “woke”. There is also a saying going around lately, “go woke, go broke” that implies that those that follow the “woke” movement are going to politically and financially go broke.

 

The reality is that there is only one truth no matter what we want to call truth. JESUS is The Way, The Truth and The Life and all who reject that Truth for any other truth reject GOD and His salvation for humanity through JESUS CHRIST!

 

JESUS asked what would a man give in exchange for his soul; riches, power, authority? There is nothing that we can give! Salvation is an exchange of our eternal damnation for our eternal life with GOD! GOD gives us salvation from eternal damnation through JESUS CHRIST and we surrender our life to Him for the work of His Kingdom in the earth as it is in Heaven.

 

JESUS told the people, “Know the Truth and the Truth will set you free.” JESUS said that GOD is SPIRIT and Truth. Pontus Pilot asked JESUS, “What is truth?” Many know the Truth but it does not set them free. Why? We have to understand the parables of sowing. JESUS said that the seed is the Word of GOD and the ground is the world; some hear the Truth and the devil steals it away before it can take root, some hear and receive the Truth but have no soil for their roots and when trouble comes they fall away, some hear and receive the Truth but it is choked out by greed and lust, and some hear the Truth and it takes root and they produce fruit. Many heard the Truth but only some produced fruit even though the devil plants weeds in the felid also. Not everyone who hears the Truth is set free it is not just hearing it, it is knowing it. Knowing is not just intellectual or just obeying. Knowing is obeying out of experiential understanding that sets us free to serve GOD with our life.

 

The Truth is that we are all born to die and when we die we will face GOD’s eternal judgment. We will be judged on two things, how we lived our life and did we believe in JESUS CHRIST as Savior and LORD! Believe is not some mental or emotional confession that JESUS really lived and died as The Bible says; but it is the confession that JESUS is and the lifestyle change that comes from stopping living for our self and now living for Him.

 

The key here is that knowing and believing are not just acceptance and confession, but life changing experiences that cause us not just to want to, but to have to obey GOD’s will and do His work in the earth as it is in Heaven no matter the cost. I have heard Christians say that GOD’s Love compels them to obey Him.

 

The cost? If salvation is free why is there a cost? Because obedience always has a price! JESUS said that those who believe in Him and serve Him will be hated, persecuted, imprisoned and murdered for their belief and trust in Him.

 

The gift of salvation costs our life – JESUS said it would, He said to follow and serve Him we would have to lay down our life and take up our cross daily: and that is the only Truth that awakens the spirit, soul and body of a human.

 

As stated above we are born to die in eternal condemnation, we are born and we have free will to live our life however we want too. But when we die we are already condemned to eternal damnation because we are born as sinners. To be saved from that condemnation we have to believe that JESUS is who He says He is and that He did what He says He did, exchanging our eternally condemned life for His eternally redeemed life.

 

JESUS is GOD; JESUS is The Son of GOD and The Son of Man; JESUS is the only Way, Truth and Life and no one becomes a Son of GOD unless they come through JESUS. GOD said, “If you diligently seek Me you will find Me.” The Bible says in Hebrews, “he who comes to GOD must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. There are many who seek GOD through religion and lifestyle and a few when those fail actually find GOD, there are some who set out to disprove GOD and JESUS and actually found them. But most don’t because as JESUS said, “broad is the way and wide is the gate that leads to destruction and many find it, but narrow is the gate and hard is way that leads to life eternal and few find it.”

 

So if you want to be “woke” to the Truth – seek The True and Living GOD, EL ELYON (GOD Most High).
