Religion sets rules of do and do not so that we conform to their ideal. CHRIST calls us to obey and serve, He gives us commands to keep and tells us what not to do. Both promise rewards and acceptance. Religion and GOD correct us when we do not conform, but only JESUS gives us His SPIRIT so that we have His Power to conform to His Image! With religion at the point we believe we have to start the work of conforming and acceptance. With GOD at the point of our Faith in JESUS we are made a Child of GOD and accepted into His Family, then He starts the process of our conforming by His SPIRIT and His Word. Seek GOD First!
