The Next Generations of Christians

 The Next Generations of Christians

By Gary Goodell

The next generations of Christians are no longer appeased with their seat assignments in the sanctuary or their demographically designed classes or workshops in the youth chapel as their destiny in the Church. It's too late to sell them on this anemic substitute for Authentic Faith. They are world-changers, innovators and pioneers, and they demand a worldwide revolution that empowers them and shakes every culture they penetrate.

It is called "the power of God unto salvation," not the "premise of God that must be compromised." It is not too late for the Institutional Church, but this young generation of believers are already out of the box and off their leashes. They won't sit like good little church kids and pay the light bill or volunteer for the Saturday work day and clean up the parking lot. They have already exited the sandbox of discipleship 101 and are ready to heal the sick, raise the dead and awaken the whole world to a powerful and loving God.

You see, they have never done well as an audience of the Sunday Homily but they already know that they are destined to be God's Mighty Army that will change everything, but the question is, will we let them go?
