Word For 1/6/2022

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear The Words of This Prophecy, and keep those things which are Written in It; for the Time is near…For I testify to everyone who hears The Words of The Prophecy of This Book: if anyone adds to these things, GOD Will add to him the plagues that are Written in This Book; and it anyone takes away from The Words of The Book of This Prophecy, GOD shall take away his part from The Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are Written in This Book.” Revelation 1:3, 22:18-19

Revelation is the 66th Book in the modern Bible and we are admonished to read and hear The Words of its Prophecy, twice! I have studied and written about Revelation as have many others, last year GOD reminded me that while The Revelation of JESUS CHRIST is important information that all Christians should be aware of. The events of The Revelation are the culmination of the preaching of The Gospel of JESUS CHRIST to the nations of the earth.

In our day and age we (Christians) are spending a lot more time on the understanding of the events of Revelation then we are on preaching the Gospel to the lost. The Revelation is for Christians to understand what Will take place in the future (maybe near future), but first we have to preach the Gospel to all the nations, tribes and tongues!

To the Church at Ephesus, JESUS emphasized all the good they were doing, but chastised them for forgetting their first love and admonished them to return and to do the first Works (Revelation 2:1-7). What are the first Works? The commission JESUS gave the disciples (the Church) before He ascended, “And He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know times or seasons which The Father has put in His Own Authority. But you shall receive Power when The HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be Witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’” Acts 1:7-8 We are supposed to know the signs of our time and be ready for His return, while doing the first Works – evangelism and discipleship.

The people who are lost will not care about The Revelation until they believe The Gospel. It is important for Christians to be taught so we learn and grow in faith and obedience, but that obedience must be to preach The Gospel to the lost so that they can be saved, “For ‘whoever calls on The Name of The LORD shall be saved.’ How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a Preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is Written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of Peace, who bring glad tidings of Good Things!’” Romans 10:13-15

Seek GOD First! GOD Bless, Bob & Charlene
