Why I Don’t
Like The Rapture!
Here is why I don’t like the teaching of the rapture – as it is generally taught it is wrong!
Most Bible teachers, Preachers and Prophets today teach that the Church will be raptured at the beginning of the Great Tribulation of seven years; some teach that the Church will be raptured in the middle of the Great Tribulation, just before it gets really bad. I understand the scriptures they use but after years of study and prayer I disagree with their conclusion.
First CHRIST returns at the sound of the seventh trumpet, this has been taught for centuries and this is correct. 1 Corinthians 15: 50-58, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 John 3:1-3 describe what happens to Christians (dead and alive) physically at the moment the last (seventh) trumpet sounds; Revelation 11:15.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 remind Christians to be ready for The Day of The LORD will come as a thief in the night for those who are not ready.
2 Thessalonians 2 tells us that there will be a great falling away of the Christian faith in the world when the anti-christ takes the throne in Jerusalem and declares himself God and that is the day CHRIST returns, verses 3-4. This sounds more like the middle of the Great Tribulation.
What I don’t like about the rapture teaching is that it builds up the hope of Christians that they are going to be rescued before the Great Tribulation begins and the Bible just does not teach that. The rapture actually is described in Revelation 14:14-16, this is the Last Day – the day CHRIST defeats the anti-christ, the false prophet and their army at Armageddon; the Day that He establishes His 1000 year Reign over the nations of the earth from Jerusalem.
Second the fact that CHRIST does not come at the beginning of the Great Tribulation to rescue Christians will be the cause of the great falling away of believers (who were only believing in being rescued not actually believing in JESUS as LORD and Savior.
Read and Study the Bible for yourself because you will be held accountable for obeying it.
Tell people about JESUS as their LORD and Savior so that they can be saved from eternal damnation. JESUS taught more about the Kingdom of GOD (Heaven) than about the Last Days; JESUS gave us the Great Commission to evangelize and disciple the lost into GOD’s Kingdom on the earth so that they could be part of His Eternal Kingdom. He gave us the signs to watch for and told us to be ready, and He told us we would be persecuted, imprisoned and murdered for our faith and obedience.
Seek GOD First!
