TONY’S TOP TEN
Galatians 6:4 But each one must carefully scrutinize his own work [examining his actions, attitudes, and behavior], and then he can have the personal satisfaction and inner joy of doing something commendable [a]without comparing himself to another. 5 For every person will have to bear [with patience] his own burden [of faults and shortcomings for which he alone is responsible]. Amplified KJV
1. If you are having a hard time handling what you have been given in life, God’s ability is available to you, our own ability is just not enough.
2. God never gives us more than we can bear; but He does expect us to trust and depend on him to bear it.
3. The burdens that God gives us only seem unbearable when we lose the focus of depending upon Him.
4. Rather than comparing ourselves to others why not pursue good for others?
5. Galatians 6:9 Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. 10 So then, while we [as individual believers] have the opportunity, let us do good to all people [not only being helpful, but also doing that which promotes their spiritual well-being], and especially [be a blessing] to those of the household of faith (born-again believers).
6. Sometimes, the only cure for pain is to focus on helping someone else through their pains.
7. It is a fact that we need to celebrate what we do have in order to appreciate what we will have when it comes.
8. Is not being thankful for what you do have keeping you from receiving greater blessings in your life?
9. I think it would be good if each one of us would have one day a week where we stopped what we are doing and make a list of what we have too be thankful and read the list to God and thank Him in person.
10. There will always be a choice between a jealous spirit and a giving spirit and it is one we must make every day.
