What Are The Works Of GOD’s Kingdom?

 

James tells us that faith without works is dead or useless; there is no benefit in having faith if you do not do the works of GOD’s Kingdom in the earth as it is in Heaven. Matthew 6:10; James 1:22, 2:14, 3:13, 4:17.

 

All religions and many Christian organizations have required works of their members in order to be in good standing and even to be saved. But that is not what the Scriptures teach us; John 3:16-17; Romans 10:8-13; 2 Peter 3:9.

 

In fact Salvation is a free gift from GOD; Romans 6:15-23. All we have to do is “present our body as a slave to Righteousness for Holiness.” Sin earns wages of punishment but GOD “gives a Free Gift of Eternal Life in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.”

 

What is GOD’s Will?

Matthew 6:10, 7:21; John 6:38-40; Romans 12:2; Philippians 2:13-14; Hebrews 13:20-21; James 4:15

 

So what are the works that we should be doing?

JESUS as our example: John 6:38; Luke 22:42 (This is the most untaught requirement in the Church);

JESUS told us to do: Matthew 5, 6, 7; Revelation 2:4-5, 10; 3:4-5, 10-11, 18-19

Paul told us to do: Philippians 2:12-16; 1Timothy 1:15-16

Peter told us to do: 2 Peter 1:1-13 (10-11)
