Works And Faith!
John 10:31-39 JESUS’ Works show He Is GOD!
“Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. JESUS
answered them, ‘Many Good Works I have shown you from My Father; for which of
those Works do you stone Me?’ The Jews answered Him, saying, ‘For a Good Work
we do not stone you, but for blasphemy, and because You being a Man make
Yourself GOD.’ JESUS answered them, ‘Is
it not written in your Law, “I said, ‘You are gods.’”? If He called them gods,
to whom The Word of GOD came (and The scripture cannot be broken), do you say
of Him Whom The Father Sanctified and Sent into the world, “You are blaspheming,”
because I said, “I Am The Son of GOD”? If I do not do the Works of My Father,
do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe The Works,
that you may know and believe that The Father is in Me, and I in Him.’ Therefore
they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.”
Ephesians 2:8-10 – Faith comes from GOD not from our Works!
“For by Grace you have been Saved through Faith, and that not of yourselves; it is The Gift of GOD, not of Works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His Workmanship created in CHRIST JESUS for Good Works, which GOD prepared before hand that we should walk in them.”
Philippians 2:12-16 – We have to Work to maintain our
Salvation!
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not in my presence only but now much more in my absence, Work out your own Salvation with Fear and Trembling; for it is GOD Who Works in you both to Will and to Do for His Good Pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become Blameless and Harmless Children of GOD without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you Shine as Lights in the world, Holding Fast The Word of Life, so that I may rejoice in The Day of CHRST that I have not Run in Vain or Labored in vain.”
James 1:19-27 – Be Doers of The Word!
“So then my beloved brethren, let every man be Swift to Hear, Slow to Speak, Slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce The Righteousness of GOD. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and abundance of wickedness, and receive with Meekness the Implanted Word, which is able to Save your souls. But be Doers of The Word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of The Word and not a Doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the Perfect Law of Liberty and Continues in It and is not a forgetful hearer but a Doer of The Work, this one will be Blessed in What he Does. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and Undefiled Religion before GOD and The Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
James 2:14-26 – Faith without Works is Dead!
“What does it profit my brethren, if someone says he has
Faith but does not have Works? Can Faith Save him? If a brother or sister is
naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart in
Peace, be warmed and filled.’ But you do not give them the things which are
needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also Faith by itself if it does
not have Works, is dead. But someone will say, ‘You have Faith and I have
Works.’ Show me your Faith without your works and I will show you my Faith by
my Works. For you believe there is One GOD; you do well, even the demons
believe – and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith
without Works is dead? Was not Abraham our father Justified for Works when he
offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that Faith was Working together
with his Works and by Works Faith was made complete? And The Scripture was
fulfilled which says, ‘Abraham Believed GOD, and it was accounted to him for
Righteousness.’ And he was called the friend of GOD. You see then that a man is
Justified by Works and not by Faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot
also Justified by Works when she received the messengers and sent them out
another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so Faith without Works
is dead also.”
