What Did JESUS Say?
There is so much talk and teaching
about the End Times that it is hard to keep up with the latest prophesies and
revelations and teachings. There are so many varying opinions on what is
happening and what is about to happen and what will happen in the future that
it is hard to know what to believe. And what you believe will dictate how you
live your life!
The whole Bible has prophesies and
teachings about the End Days, sometimes they seem contradictory, but they are
not, but most of us do not have the wherewithal to do the kind of study to be
able to put it all together in order so that we understand the full picture of
the coming events.
So let us look at what JESUS told
us to do:
The
Future:
Watch –
Matthew 24:40-44, 25:11-13; Mark
13:32-37 (Matthew 26:36-46, Mark 14:34-42); Luke 12:35-48, 21:34-38.
Be ready –
Matthew 24:44, 25:10; (Luke 1:13-17
John The Baptist), Luke 12:35-40, 22:31-34; Revelation 19:6-8.
Endure or overcome –
Matthew 10:21-22, 24:10-14; Mark
4:16-17, (Mark 13:12-13, Revelation 17:14); John 16:31-33; Revelation 2:7, 11,
17, 26, 3:5, 12, 21;17:14; 21:6-7.
Now:
Mike Huckabee says, “We should be
ready for anything; but we should not be afraid of anything!”
The Work – Matthew 5:43-48,
6:1-21, 26:11, 28:16-20; Mark 16:14-18; Acts 1:7-8; Revelation 2:2 “I know your
Works!” JESUS said this to each of the seven Churches (2:9, 2:13, 2:19, 3:1-2,
3:8, 3:15).
This is where “Peace that passes
understanding!” (Philippians 4:6-7) comes in, JESUS said we would be persecuted,
He even said it was a Blessing! (Matthew 5:10-12). How you ask, by abiding in
JESUS’s Victory (Ephesians 2:11-18 [14]; 1 Corinthians 15:57-58)!
