Are You Ready? How Are You Living?
Are you ready? Yes, no, maybe so?
Than how are you living? Are you
living like you are ready?
Scripturally what does being ready
look like?
Are
you ready? Yes, no, maybe so?
Mark 13:32-33 “But of that day
and hour no one knows (What day? Now you must read the verses before this
statement, at least from verse 28, better yet from verse 24), not even the
angels in Heaven nor The Son, But Only The Father. (As The Son of Man,
JESUS did not need to know, His only goal in the flesh was the cross!) Take
heed, Watch and Pray; for you do not know when the Time is.” (Now you should
read the rest of the chapter, actually you should read the whole chapter. This
is Mark’s condensed version of Matthew 24 and Luke 17.)
So what is JESUS saying? He is
saying we do not know and seeking the Father will not make a difference, JESUS
speaking in Acts 1:7, just before He Ascended to The Father’s Throne! “And
He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know Times or Seasons (this includes
other events) which The Father has put in His Own Authority!’” It is
important for us to remember that GOD does reveals everything before its time
but not the actual time! Like JESUS’ Birth, Death and Resurrection! These
events were all prophesied but those looking for them did not all recognize them
when they happened. And so it is about the End of Time, there are a lot of
prophesies about what is going to happen and what the signs of them are, but we
still do not know the day or the hour!
So, the question is not just are
you ready, but are you comparing the events of today with the Scriptures for
yourself? Not just what others say (like me) but are you studying the
Scriptures yourself?
In John 8:28-32 JESUS tells us to
be His disciple His Word must abide in us (not just memorization but more
importantly Understanding! The Bible, especially Proverbs is full of
admonitions for us to seek GOD’s Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding and Discernment!
GOD tells us over and over to seek Him (Isaiah 55:6, Jeremiah 29:10-14 (This
is important for this is how you interpret all Scripture to your life! JEHOVAH
is talking to the Hebrew people about the punishment and His Restoration of
them. When you understand the context of the Scripture Then you can apply it to
your circumstance.), 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, Matthew 6:33-34)
Than
how are you living? Are you living like you are ready?
Mark 13:33 “Take heed, Watch
and Pray; for you do not know when the Time is.” JESUS told the disciples
to watch and pray for the enemy is always at hand (Remember JESUS Himself was
tempted, just after His baptism and just before His arrest, Matthew 4:1-11;
Mark 1:12-13; Luke 4:1-13; Matthew 26:36-46; Mark 15:32-42; Luke 22:39-46.)
All through the Gospels JESUS told
us to Watch (Matthew 24:42-43, 25:13; Mark 13:3437; Luke 12:38, 21:36).
All through the Epistles the apostles
warned us to Watch (Actis 20:29-32; 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: Colossians 4:2
vigilant in NKJ = watch in KJV; 1 Thessalonians 5:4-11; 2 Timothy 4:5;
Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 4:7-11; Revelation 3:3).
We are told to be ready so that we
are not caught unaware (Matthew 24:45-51; Luke 21:34-35; 2 Corinthians
6:11-18; Philippians 2:12-16; James 1:12-27; 1 Peter 1:13-2:3; 2
Peter 3:10-18)
Scripturally
what does being ready look like?
I’ve actually answered this
question in the Scriptures above, but let’s review this topic. (Matthew 7:24-29; Mark 13:28-37; John 4:22-24, 8:28-32;
15:1-17; Galatians 5:18-26; Ephesians 4:1-16, 6:10-18).
Summary
JEHOVAH GOD has Commanded us to
Seek Him and His Kingdom, so that we will do the Work of His Heavenly Kingdom
in the earth, overcoming temptation and sin, just as JESUS did in the flesh, until
JESUS returns to establish His Earthly Kingdom for a thousand years. GOD’s Word
The Bible is Clear but not so simple since we have to overcome our own fleshly
desires, the temptation of the world and the sins of the devil, that are always
before us; seeking to keep us from Obeying and from being Ready for JESUS’
Return!
