This Is Not The Fear Of
The LORD!
All I have to do is stand and the devil will flee! I do not
have to attack, even though as a Christian living the life that GOD created and redeemed me to
live is an attack against the kingdom of satan driving back the darkness of his
kingdom where ever I am.
If I want the devil out of my life, if I want to have
victory over the demonic works of the kingdom of darkness all I have to do is
stand fast in the liberty with which Christ has set me free. All I have to do
is resist the devil and he will flee. Neither standing nor resisting requires
me to take any action other than believing and resting in GOD my Father. Both of these
require ascent that He has called me into His Kingdom and that nothing or no
one can take me out of His Hands and that He will never leave me or forsake me no
matter what I do.
There are two kinds of fear, one is that some real danger
exists and that certain action on our part will cause us to be endangered. The
other is an unreasonable fear of some real or imaginary event or circumstance.
Pastor Jimmy
Evans said, “Fear makes you do what will make your fear come true.”
Thoreau had written the sentence, “Nothing is so much to be feared
as fear.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "The only thing we have to
fear Is fear Itself."
Fear is a terrible task master causing us to do all sorts of
destructive things to ourself and those around us.
So how do we overcome unreasonable or debilitating fear?
Pastor Jimmy Evans says we need to admit it, submit it, and resist it or act
above it. Admitting that we have a fear of any kind is the first step, when we
admit it then we can submit it to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and allow The
Holy Spirit to work in our understanding so that we are no longer controlled by
fear. Then when that or any other form of fear comes against us we can act
above it by believing and confessing that only GOD can send me to hell but that as a born again
believer He will not and since that is the truth nothing else that happens to
me even death will not separate me from His Love for me nor deny me my eternal place
and reward in His Kingdom.
