There Is No
Freedom Of Speech In The Bible!
As Americans we love to use our Constitutional Freedom of Speech and the Right to express our Opinion.
But they are not supported by The Bible, in fact The Bible forbids them.
Exodus 20:1-18 the Ten Commandments (Leviticus 18:4-5; 1 Samuel 15:22-23; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14; Luke 11:28; 1 John 5:1-5)
John 8:38, 16:13 “I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father…However, when He, The Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak.” (John 14:26)
Exodus 21:17 “Whoever curses his father or his mother must surely be put to death.” (Mark 7:9-13)
Exodus 22:28“Do not despise GOD, or curse a ruler of your people.” (Ecclesiastes 10:20; Acts 23:1-5)
Matthew 5:21-22 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother will be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca! (Empty head!)’ shall be in danger of the council (courts). But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.” (That is because GOD reserves the judgment of calling someone a fool to Himself, Luke 12:16-21; Titus 3:1-11)
Matthew 5:33-37 “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but you shall perform your oaths to The LORD.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by Heaven, for it is GOD’s Throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; not by Jerusalem, for it is the city of The Great King. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’, ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.” (James 2:8-13, James 4)
Matthew 5:43-45 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemy, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” (Proverbs 14:20-21, 24:17-18; Matthew 23:16-22)
Mark 12:28-31 “Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, ‘Which is the first (foremost) commandment of all?’ JESUS answered him, ‘The first (foremost) of all the commandments is: “Hear, O Israel, The LORD our GOD, The LORD is One. And you shall Love The LORD your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” And the second, is like it, is this: “You shall Love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these,” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13)
1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love. I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.”
1 Peter 2:1-3 ‘’Therefore laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babies, desire the pure milk of The Word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that The LORD is Good.” (Colossians 3:89; James 1:21)
More Scriptures: Leviticus 19:12, 14, 16; James 5:9, 12; Matthew 10:19-20; Ecclesiastes 3:7
There is actually nothing in life that we have the right to do! GOD does allow us to do what we want (free will), but free will is not a right! We are created to do His Will just as JESUS did His Will. John 6:38 “For I have come down from Heaven, not to do My Own Will, but the will of Him Who sent Me.” (Psalm 139:13-18; Matthew 6:9-10; Matthew 7:21-23, Luke 22:39-46)
