GOD’s Grace and Mercy are Common!
GOD’s Grace and Mercy are so common that many times we miss
them.
Sometimes it’s because we are expecting some great or
powerful experience, but they are in the common things of life. Paul of Tarsus,
an Apostle of JESUS, was losing his eyesight and he, a man of great faith
prayed three times asking GOD to heal his eyes. But GOD told him “My Grace is
sufficient for you.” so Paul lived the rest of his life with limited vision, he
had to dictate some of his letters to another person who would write them out.
There were probably times he had to be guided by someone where the footing was
not good or it was too dark. Paul never complained, his expectation had been
for healing but GOD gave him Grace to adjust his life to limited vision, and he
did.
That is the same for us, many times we miss GOD’s Grace or
Mercy because it is not the powerful or miraculous event we expected. This is
because of GOD’s Purpose for us at that time, what He is working in our life so
that we will become who He created and called us to be.
“His Mercy is new every day.” GOD’s Mercy is so common that
we do not see it unless we are in some big crisis. Our Salvation was determined
before the earth’s foundation was laid. We live by the Power of His SPIRIT that
lives in us. He provides for our needs every day. His Good Gifts come to us as
needed.
JESUS told us we would be tried, tested and persecuted and
the Apostles remind us that this is to cause us to grow and mature in GOD’s
Purpose and the Gift He has given us so we can fulfill His Call for our life.
GOD’s Grace and Mercy are so common that we just do not see
them, He told us “I will never leave you or forsake you.” and He told us “Lay
down your life and take up your cross daily and follow Me.”
It is in the little, common things in life that we walk and
live in GOD’s Grace and Mercy. We do not see them because they are so common
but without them we would be miserable. It is the little things that make the
challenges in life acceptable so that we can face the next day and its
problems. It is the moment of peace and quite, someone’s heart felt joyful
laugh, the look of awe on a child’s face, the flash of understanding on how to
solve a problem, someone unexpectedly helping us, etc.
Relax in GOD’s Grace and rest in His Mercy they are
everywhere!
