GOD’s
Pleasure Is GOD’s Will!
There is a lot of information below, but the main point is GOD’s Pleasure and GOD’s Will are the same thing! If you are doing His Will for your life then you are pleasing Him. Everything GOD does is for His own pleasure. Some will think this is a controversial statement because it is saying that GOD takes pleasure in judging people and sending them to eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire. But that is not true and this is why I say, always read and study Scripture in context! John 3:16 is the most well know Scripture in the world but what is the context?
“For GOD so Loved the world that HE Gave His Only Begotten Son that whoever believed in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life. For, GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he does not believe in The Name of The Only Begotten Son of GOD. And this is the condemnation, that The Light has come into the world and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds are evil. For everyone practicing evil hates The Light and does not come to The Light, lest his deeds be exposed. But he who does The Truth comes to The Light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in GOD.” John 3:16-21
Revelation 4:11 is the verse most Christians are familiar with in this regard; in the KJV the word is pleasure in the NKJV it is will; according to Strong’s; 2307 it is the Greek τhĕlēmα = from the plur. form of 2309; a determination (prop. the thing), i.e. (act.) choice (spec. purpose, decree; abstr. volition) or (pass) inclination;–desire, pleasure, will.
Proverbs 21:1 is the opposite; in the KJV it is will in the NKJV it is wishes, in the NIV it is pleases; according to Strong’s 2654 it is the Hebrew châphêts = a prim. root; prop. to incline to; by impl. (lit. but rarely) to bend; fig to be pleased with , desire;– X any at all, (have, take) delight, desire, favor, like, move, be (well) pleased, have pleasure, will, would.

Romans 1:32 “Who knowing the judgment of GOD, that they that commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” KJV
Romans 1:32 “who, knowing the righteous judgment of GOD, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” NKJV
In this Scripture which is about men we see that pleasure is equal to approval, or it’s pleasing to approve of those who sin like you do. The righteous version of that is, it’s pleasing to approve of those who live righteously like you do.
Strong’s 4909 = from 4862 and 2106; to think well of in common, i.e. assent to, feel gratified with:–allow, assent, be pleased, have pleasure.
