The Leopard
Across the living room was a magazine
facing me for several days as I’m sitting in my chair. It’s “National
Geographic Kids Almanac 2021”, the first thought I had was, “How can that be
the 2021 edition when we haven’t completed 2021, shouldn’t it be the 2020
edition?” But that does not really matter, what got me about it today was the
realization that its cover photo is of a snarling leopard. Today, for the first
time in however long it’s been sitting there I thought, “Does Nat Geo know something
about the end times?”
In the Christian realm there is a lot
of talk about these being the last days, and it sure seems like it by all that
is going on in the world geographically, governmentally and religiously.
Earthquakes, volcanoes, terrible storms, massive forest fires; wars, terrorism,
manmade famines, pandemics; jihads, persecutions by other religions,
persecutions by governments; dire warnings about everything!
The reason I had the thought about
Nat Geo’s cover photo of a snarling leopard is because it is revilent to The
Bible’s revelation about end time events. Leopard and leopards are mentioned
several times in the Bible, mostly in the Old Testament. But two times it
relates to the last days or the end of time before JESUS CHRIST returns to
earth to set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem and rule over the nations for 1000
years.
Daniel 7:1, 6 “In the first year of
Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on
his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts…’After this I
looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings
of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.’”
Revelation 1:1, 13:1-2 “The Revelation
of JESUS CHRIST, which GOD gave Him to show His servants–things which shortly
must take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John…Then
I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea,
having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on one of
his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his
feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon
gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.”
Study Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation
chapter 13, there is a lot of symbolism in the Bible and these two chapters are
full of it. But they both use a leopard to represent the anti-christ who will
try to usurp the authority and power of CHRIST which will lead to CHRIST’s Powerful
and Victorious return to the earth. Don’t let the different descriptions
deceive you. These are the same event and with just a little honest study GOD’s
SPIRIT will show you what GOD is revealing to everyone who seeks The Truth.
Seek GOD First! Or, burn forever!
