Salvation and Eternal Life

Salvation!

Sin Eater:

Set in the Appalachian Mountains in the 19th century, it is about a strange religious practice of a person who takes upon themselves the sins of every person of the community who dies during their time as the sin eater. They eat a meal provided by the deceased’s family while the whole community turns its back on the sin eater. There is no redemption for the sin eater and once a person becomes the sin eater they are ostracized by their family and the community.

Torah:

Animal sacrifices covered the sins of believing Hebrews, yet they knew that GOD forgave them of their sins and promised a Messiah who would permanently take away their sins. Leviticus 4; Psalm 103:1-5; Isaiah 53 (:12)

JESUS:

Took upon Himself the sins of the world – true forgiveness John 1:29-34; Hebrews 10:11-12

There are many different beliefs on how a person can be saved – go to Heaven – live eternally when they die. Some believe there is a series of activities that can be accomplished to get eternal life; some believe that they can attain eternal life by dying in defense of their faith; some believe that you only have to live a good life to obtain eternal life. Some believe you cannot know if you have achieved or earned eternal life until you wake up in death. The Bible teaches that one can only enter into eternal life in Heaven by believing in JESUS CHRIST and that has to be before death. Everyone will wake up in death, only Born Again Christians will be rewarded with eternal life in Heaven. EVERYONE else, by rejecting GOD’s Gift of Salvation through JESUS CHRIST condemns themselves to hell and the Eternal Lake of Fire. Matthew 25:31-46 (41); John 3:1-21 (18); Revelation 20:11-15, 21:8

Eternal Life - Waking Up In Death!

Reincarnation:

Some religions believe in reincarnation – coming back to life from death as a different life form; insect, animal or human; until they achieve godhood.

Resurrection:

JESUS is The Resurrection, The Life, The Way, The Truth. John 11:25-26, 14:6. The Bible teaches that all people will die physically but not spiritually. That after physical death there is eternal life, but not everyone will live eternally in Heaven. Romans 5:12-21; Revelation 21:1-8
