Tony’s Top Ten
1. Gentleness is a fruit of the Spirit that causes us to be calm and kind
in all conflicts.
2. It doesn’t mean soft or weak.
3. It does mean that in any given situation we have developed the inner
resources to remain calm and as kind as is possible under the circumstances.
4. It is a supernatural quality and a gift of God to control our anger.
5. Gentleness should be seen in our eyes, in our facile expressions, in our
body posture and especially in the tone
of our voices.
6. Gentleness reduces anxiety.
7. Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel
of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of
your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together
for the faith of the gospel.
8. Philippians 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
9. A spirit of gentleness best reflects Christ in us towards others.
10. Gentleness doesn’t mean you can’t speak the truth plainly; but it
should make a difference in the way you present the truth to others.
