Word For 11/17/2021

“We can talk about CHRIST and quote Scriptures all day long…but people will only Believe Us When They See Us Put to Practice What We Preach!”

Matthew 7:20-23 “Yes, just as You Can IDENTIFY a Tree by its FRUIT, so You Can IDENTIFY People by their ACTIONS. Not everyone who CALLS out to ME, ‘LORD, LORD.’ will Enter The KINGDOM of HEAVEN. Only those who Actually DO the Will of MY Father in HEAVEN will Enter. Many will say to ME on That Day, ‘LORD, LORD; have We Not PROPHESIED in Your Name, CAST out demons in Your name, and Done Many WONDERFUL Works in Your Name?’ But then I will Declare to Them, ‘I Never Knew You. Depart from ME, You who PRACTICE Evil.’”

Matthew 23:3 “So PRACTICE and OBEY whatever They Tell You, but DON’T FOLLOW Their EXAMPLE. For They DON’T PRACTICE what They Teach.”

“Don’t Fake It To Make It With JESUS! Be Blessed,” Pastor Bob Harris

“I am crucified with CHRIST: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST lives in me. And the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by The Faith of The Son of GOD, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

“The disciple is one in whom self-interest and pride and self-sufficiency have been completely erased.” Oswald Chamber

“No one is holy like The LORD, for there is none besides YOU, nor is there any rock like our GOD.” 1 Samuel 2:2 spoken by Hannah, Samuel’s mother.

“So JESUS said to them again, ‘Peace to You! As The Father has sent Me, I also send you.’ And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive The HOLY SPIRIT. If you forgive the sins of any , they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any they are retained.’” John 20:21-23

The Bible only teaches two themes; total obedience and submission to GOD and preaching The Gospel! Anything else while interesting and informative can lead us away from these two things that GOD Requires of us. Be careful of any teaching from The Bible that does not lead us back to one or both of these two themes.

“And moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs. The Preacher sought to find acceptable words; and what was written was upright–words of truth. The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars are like well–driven nails, given by one Shepherd. And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear GOD and Keep HIS Commandments, for this is man’s all. For GOD will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing.” Ecclesiastes 12:9-14

“With what shall I come before The LORD, and bow myself before The High GOD? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with claves a year old? Will The LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?He has shown you O man, what is good; and what does The LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your GOD?”  Micah 6:6-8
