Word For 11/20/2021

 

“But as many as received HIM, to them HE gave the right (authority) to become Children of GOD, to those who believe in HIS Name.” John 1:12 NKJV

 

I was reminded yesterday by Pastor Bob Harris, that we are children – Children of GOD; and as children we will make mistakes and when we make a mistake our Father – GOD Almighty will forgive us. JESUS told the disciples and therefore us, that we have to be like children to enter into The Kingdom of GOD. Paul and John remind us that we are children, not just sons of GOD. Peter and Paul remind us that we are sons of GOD and no longer children; this is an important transition in our life as a Christian.

 

But what I’m talking about today is being child like in faith and obedience. Faith requires us to be child like, or fully trusting. When we read GOD’s Word do we fully trust GOD to do as HE says? Do we trust that if we do what GOD says to do we will get our just reward in this life or the next?

 

Here are some Scriptures to show us what JESUS meant:

Matthew 18:1-5, 19:13-15; Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17;Romans 8:12-17; 1 John 3:1-3; don’t just read these but meditate on them.
