Being CHRIST Like!
In the Church we talk about being
CHRIST like, what does that look like?
We are made in the image and
likeness of JEHOVAH GOD (Genesis 1:27), what does that look like? (Ephesians 4:17-32)
To be CHRIST like means to be like
CHRIST or to live like CHRIST lived in the flesh. Which was “to only say what
He heard The Father say and only do what He saw The Father doing!” (John 5:19, 30;
8:28-29) Thereby He fulfilled GOD’s Purpose and Will for His Life in the flesh
(John 19:30), “It is finished!”
For us (humans) that is not easy,
that is why JESUS says that if we overcome and endure to the end we will be
Blessed and Rewarded (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; Revelation 2 and 3).
JESUS told us: “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him
deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever desires to save
his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the Gospel’s
will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and
loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For
whoever is ashamed of Me and My Words in this adulterous and sinful generation,
of him The Son of Man will be ashamed when He Comes in The Glory of His Father with
the holy angels.’” Mark 8:34-38. This is based Deuteronomy 28:1-2, 15, 58-59.
It is not about us – it is about JESUS!
1Kings 8:61 “Let your heart be
Loyal (Lit. at peace with) to JEHOVAH our GOD, to walk in His Statutes
and keep His Commandments, as at this day!”
JESUS said, “If My Word abides in
you, then you will know The Truth and The Truth will set you Free.” John
8:31-32 (John 1:14, 17; 14:6)
So if you want to be CHRIST like
you have to lay down your life for JESUS, take up your cross (the call of GOD
for your life) and follow Him every day. Where was JESUS going with His cross?
To Golgotha, the place where He yielded His Life to The Father’s Will and
Purpose! The question we have to ask ourself is, “Am I heading to Golgotha,
have I laid down everything to fulfill The Will of GOD for my life?”
(Philippians 2:12-14; 3:1-17)
