Revelation Notes
Chapters
3:7-8:6
Chapter 3:10-12 “Because you have
kept My Command to Persevere, I also Will keep you from the hour of trial which
shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold!
(Matthew 24:21-22; Revelation 16) I Am coming quickly! (Matthew 24:42-44; Luke
21:34-36) Hold fast what you have that no one may take your crown (Revelation
2:10, you can lose your Salvation)! He who overcomes…” (Each letter has the
statement “To he who overcomes I Will…”)
Chapter 4:1 An open door in Heaven
(Ezekiel 1:1; Isaiah 57:15 Where JEHOVAH Reigns over creation from). “…the
first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, (Revelation
1:10) saying “Come up here and I will show you things which must take place
after this.” (Revelation 10:4, 11)
:5 “And from The Throne proceeded
lightnings, thunderings and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before The
Throne, which are The Seven Spirits of GOD. (Isaiah 11:1-3; Zechariah 4:1-10;
Revelation 1:20)
:6-11 there is continual worship
of GOD in Heaven!
Chapter 5 The scroll written on
the inside ad the outside with seven seals. No one in heaven or the earth can
open the seals of the scroll – except JESUS – there is continual worship of
JESUS in Heaven!
Chapter 6 The seals 1-6.
:1-8 The four horsemen – they are
not the horsemen of the apocalypse – there is no time reference in chapters 5
and 6 for when JESUS opens the seals on the scroll. The events described in the
first four seals have been going on since the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9);
they could have been loosed at that time, they could have been loosed at JESUS
Resurrection, they could still be waiting to be loosed; we do not know!
:9-11 The fifth seal where John
saw “…those who had been slain for The Word of GOD and for the testimony which
they held.” They cries out to GOD, “How long, JEHOVAH, Holy and True, until You
Judge and Avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” They are given a
white robe and told to “…rest a little while longer until both the number of
their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was
completed!” This would have been real time for John, he might have seen the
high priest Zechariah (2 Chronicles 24:20-22), John the Baptist (Mark 6:26-29),
James, John’s brother (Acts 12:1-2) and Stephen the first Christian martyr
(Acts 7:54-60).
:12-17 The sixth seal – a great
earthquake, the sun became black and the moon blood red; stars (probably
meteors or asteroids) of heaven fell to the earth. The sky recedes like a
scroll being rolled up, every mountain and island are moved from their place.
This sounds a lot like some of the trumpets:
:12 Great earthquake – Revelation
8:5 [seventh seal], Revelation 11:19 [seventh trumpet].
Sun and moon darkened – Revelation
8:12 [fourth trumpet] third of the heavens darkened.
:13 Stars fall to the earth – Revelation
8:10 [third trumpet] third of the fresh water turned bitter.
:14 Sky rolled up, mountains and
islands moved – Revelation 8:8-9 [second trumpet] third of the seas turned to
blood.
:15-17 All the people call out for
the mountains and rocks to fall on them and hide them from GOD’s wrath!
All of the seal events could have
already happened – so now we are waiting to thee Great Tribulation and the
seven trumpets.
Chapter 7:1-8 Is about the 144,000
Jewish men who must be sealed with the Name of GOD (YHWH – JEHOVAH or YAHWEY); twelve thousand from the following tribes: Judah,
Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zebulun,
Joseph, Benjamin. They must be sealed before the four angels standing at the
four corners of the earth can release the four winds of the earth to harm the earth,
seas and trees.
:9-17 is about Heavenly worship of
GOD and humans who have come through the Great Tribulation, washing their robs
white in The Blood of The Lamb, who worship and serve GOD in His Temple.
Chapter 8:1-6 The seventh seal: silence
in Heaven for thirty minutes, seven angels with seven trumpets. Another angel
has a golden censer filled with incense and the prayers of the Saints, he
throws it to the earth and there is noises, thunderings, lightings and an
earthquake.
