Know The Bible

There are many people who doubt the Bible is true. There are skeptics who cannot reconcile the differences they see in the Gospels or the brutality of the flood or GOD’s command to eradicate those who lived in the land He gave to Israel. They cannot believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, the parting of the Red Sea or any other miracle in the Bible.

For those who just have doubts when they seek the truth and let GOD reveal Himself to them then they can take the faith GOD makes available to all humans and just believe. This is the beginning of studying and learning the truths of the Word of GOD. This is the truth that sets us free, but it must be learned, believed (even if by faith) and lived before we enter into its freedom.

For those who do not want to believe there is nothing a believer can say to them that will open their closed heart to the truth. If you are one who just does not want to believe in GOD or His Word the Bible, then just stop reading because the rest of this paper is for those who want to know, understand and live the truth in their lives.

I’m not going to try and explain the Bible, first I’m going to tell what the Bible says about itself.

Deuteronomy 7:9-11, “Therefore know that the LORD your GOD, He is GOD, the faithful GOD who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.”

Joshua 1:8-9, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your GOD is with you wherever you go.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, “Let us hear the conclusion of the matter: Fear GOD and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For GOD will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Peter 1:2-4, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of GOD and Jesus our LORD, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

Revelation 1:3 & 22:18-19, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near…For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, GOD will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, GOD shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things that are written in this book.”

That should be clear, any questions?

Next I want to discuss what some call discrepancies in the Bible. First as it says in 2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is given by inspiration from GOD…” This should be our underlying faith and trust in the cannon of scripture that we call the Bible today. Second, men who were thought of and who thought of themselves as scholars have removed books from most of the modern protestant versions that are in the Catholic version; these are called the Apocrypha. There are also books that were part of the earliest versions of the Bible that modern scholars do not consider divinely inspired. I am not a scholar and I have not studied these other works to make a determination for myself on their divine origin.

All this to say that as a Christian for 43 years I have read and studied the Bible plus what I remember from my Bible College days, in the 70’s, of Church and Bible History; I am absolutely confident in the divine inspiration and accuracy of the Bible no matter what translation you use. But be careful of versions that are not exact translations of the original texts and early manuscripts, commonly called paraphrased. They make for easy reading but sometimes can blur or obscure what was actually said in the original. Translations are as accurate as scholars can make them in modern language without losing the context and meaning of the original languages.

So far what I am saying is that you the reader have the responsibility before GOD to study His Word to us and to apply them to our lives. In our modern world of skeptics and critics who denounce and ridicule the Bible and those who believe it, we must have full confidence and dependence on the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of GOD for humanity today. This will not happen if you let others tell you what the Bible says, we all must know, believe and live according to what the Bible says, therefore we must study, meditate and read it daily.

The main reason I started writing this paper was to discuss what some say are discrepancies in the 4 gospels about Jesus’ Life. So a little background, the gospels were written by four different men, Matthew, John, Mark and Luke. John was with Jesus from the beginning of His ministry and Matthew (also called Levi) was with Him from very early in his ministry, their accounts are eyewitness accounts. Mark and Luke’s accounts are second hand accounts.

Matthew: Matthew’s design is to present Jesus as the King of the Jews, the long-awaited Messiah.¹ Matthew’s main purpose is to prove to his Jewish readers that Jesus is their Messiah. He was a tax collector and was also known as Levi.² Written between 60 & 70 A.D.

John: John’s purpose is crystal clear: to set forth Christ in His deity in order to spark believing faith in his readers. John portrays Him in His deity as the Son of GOD.¹ John, “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” was greatly influenced by the Old Testament. It was written about 85 A.D.²

Mark: John whose surname is Mark portrays Jesus as a servant on the move, instantly responsive to the will of the Father.¹ Early Church fathers’ agree that Mark’s gospel reproduces the preaching of Peter.² It is believed to be the first written around 55 A.D. to present Jesus to the Romans as a man of authority and action.³

Luke: Luke, a physician, writes with the compassion and warmth of a family doctor as he carefully documents the perfect humanity of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ.¹ Luke’s writing shows him to be a highly educated man, one who wrote from a Greek background and viewpoint. He wrote especially with Gentiles in mind, for he explained Jewish customs and traced the genealogy of Jesus back to Adam. The book was probably written between 56 & 63 A.D.²

“And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of GOD, and that believing you may have life in His name.” “This is the disciple that testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.” John 20:30-31; 21:24-25

These scriptures are the clarion verses for the 4 gospels they explain why there are different miracles and parables in the gospels. Each writer led by Holy Spirit wrote what would speak to their intended audience. GOD knew that in time the gospels, letters and revelation would be put together with the Jewish Bible and would become the Bible that we have today. But, that is not how they were written, they were written by different men at different times to different groups for different reasons. Yet when led by Holy Spirit other men put them together and copied them and kept them, they studied them and taught from them and bound them into one book, the Bible of both the Old and New Testaments; The Word of GOD for humanity.

This brings us to a further explanation of the Bible, it is 66 books written by about 40 different authors over a period of more than 2000 years. The Old Testament is 39 books written by at least 30 different authors starting with Moses. The Old Testament covers creation and the history of humanity until Abram (Abraham). Then it follows the history of the Jewish people from Abraham to their return from captivity by the Chaldeans. The New Testament is 27 books written by 8 authors, they cover the life and earthly ministry of Jesus, the beginning and growth of the Church and the Revelation of Jesus Christ about the future of the Church.

If you want to understand why GOD does the things He does, forget it, “’For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the LORD. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’” “For I proclaim the name of the LORD: ascribe greatness to our GOD. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a GOD of truth and without injustice.” “As for GOD, His way is perfect; the Word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.” “The LORD is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works.” “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” “They sing the song of Moses, the servant of GOD, and the song of the Lamb, saying, ‘Great and marvelous are Your works, LORD GOD Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of saints! Who shall not fear You, O LORD, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested.’” Isaiah 55:8-9; Deuteronomy 32:3-4; 2 Samuel 22:31; Psalm 145:17; John 14:6; Revelation 15:3-4; Study Psalm 2.

What GOD has called us to is not to figure out why He does what He does, but to know Him, who He is. He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him; like Abraham, “Are You not our GOD, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?” “But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham My friend.” “And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ‘Abraham believed GOD, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’ And he was called the friend of GOD.”  2 Chronicles 20:7; Isaiah 41:8; James 2:23, study Genesis 18; Matthew 13 & Hebrews 11.

Or like King David, “And Samuel said to Saul, ‘You have done foolishly, you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your GOD…But now your kingdom shall not continue, the LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart…” “…whom GOD drove out before the face of our fathers until the day of David, who found favor before GOD…” “And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave this testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’”  1 Samuel 13:13-14; Acts 7:45-46, 13:22, study John 1:1-18, 3:1-21 and chapters 13-17.

Kingdom Prayer Power – A Quantum Leap

We need to know what GOD knows!

We worship the triune GOD Father, Son, Holy Spirit. There is an unholy trinity, Satan wants to replace Father GOD, Baal wants to replace Jesus Christ and Leviathan wants to replace Holy Spirit.

All truth has only one source – GOD! Everyone gets the same download, the good and the bad.

Mark 11:23-24, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Was Jesus talking about physical or emotional mountains, He was talking about both dirt and rock mountains and emotional mountains. Like 17:6, “So the LORD said, ‘If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, “Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,” and it would obey you.’”

How many of us have done what Jesus did, turn water into wine, walk on water, raise the dead?

Hebrews 11:1-3, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of GOD, so that the things which are seen were not made of the things which are visible.” Faith is a building block, faith is the energy in the unseen (spiritual) realm from which the seen is made.

E=mc²: E = energy, m = mass, c = the speed of light in a vacuum. Energy is on one side and everything else is on the other side.

Isaac Newton studied natural laws such as gravity. Natural laws always have the same results; 1 plus 1 always equals 2, everything is a formula and everybody will always get the same results for doing the same thing; the results are repeatable. Newton said that atoms which make up everything were hard and solid.

Quantum physics by Albert Einstein is the study of things so small they cannot be seen, they are sub-atomic particles. Even if you follow the same procedures with sub-atomic particles you never get the same results. Atoms are not hard they are energy! Quantum physics is about probabilities and possibilities.

1.      Everything we see – living and non-living is matter, made up of molecules.

2.      Molecules are made up of atoms.

3.      Atoms are made up of sub-atomic particles.

4.      All atoms vibrate and have a frequency.

5.      All atoms are frequencies of energy.

6.      Frequency is a language code.

All matter is waiting for us to show it how to be restored. Energy can take any form, seen or unseen.

Word of knowledge and prophecy are energy.

Google particle slit wave experiment. In this experiment there is a source of particles, let's say electrons, which have to pass through a screen with two slots separated by very small distance. ... Quantum-mechanically, each individual electron behaves like a wave (it has a wave function), so after passing through a double slot, it interferes with itself.

An atom with electrons going around it (particle state) is looking at you asking, “What do you want me to be?”

The other state ‘cloud state’ (wave state) has an infinite number of possibilities.

The collapse from cloud to particle state is ‘popping a quiff’.

From the realm of possibilities to a specific thing, the particle state doesn’t exist until we look at it (as far as we know).

Popping a quaff!

We do it all the time the best would be to do it GOD’s way. Atoms shifting from the spiritual (particle) state to the natural (cloud) state. What you focus on whatever you believe and how much energy, positive or negative, that you do to that event literally will decide how quickly that will change from an unseen state to a seen state.

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Light is energy – energy is matter – matter is the cosmos! Moving from the unseen spiritual realm to the seen matter realm.

We live in the world of three dimensions, up & down, left & right, forward & backward and we are bound by time (space time). This is our dimension or our natural environment.

We know there are more dimensions, science has found eleven.

Jesus was saying to us all the time, “My Kingdom (MY Dimension) is here!” Occupying the same space as our natural world, there is a veil or barrier that keeps us from seeing and operating in it.

In Newtonian (Isaac Newton) physics it is impossible for a 180 pound man to walk on water; in quantum physics it is not only possible it is normal.

Do we only operate in our three dimensional time bound realm or do we let Holy Spirit connect us to the spiritual dimension and then operate in it?

Genesis 1:1-5, “In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of GOD was hovering over the face of the waters. Then GOD said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. And GOD saw the light and that it was good; and GOD divided the light from the darkness. GOD called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.”

When GOD spoke His frequencies (His full bandwidth of every frequency) of His Light, His Glory manifested as His Light. This light, before the sun moon and stars were created, was omnipresent – everywhere – it cast no shadow. A part of His Being through His spoken Word at a frequency that He manifested caused light to be.

Scientist tell us that light is slowing down, the current speed of light is 186,000 mile per second. In the beginning GOD spoke His full bandwidth “Let there be light!” His Glory is all frequencies, His voice is all frequencies expressed.

Jesus’ Cross (Redemption)

When the veil was torn from the top to the bottom GOD was restoring access to His Glory dimensions. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10, Natural and supernatural together = Kingdom of GOD, His presence! Since the Cross GOD is restoring transformation of us to all His dimensions; words of knowledge, discerning of spirits, prophesy come when we tap into the spiritual realm.

2 Peter 1:2-4, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of GOD and of Jesus Christ our LORD, as His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” His divine power has granted for us to be partakers of His divine nature.

Barrier 2: Thoughts and words.

Every word ever spoken still exists – they never disappear or disapate.

‘Commanding Your Morning’ by Dr. Cindy Trimm “Everything in the universe begins with and revolves around two things – word & thoughts.”

Thoughts and beliefs produce energy! Thoughts and words are fuel producing energy! Thoughts and words are the creative substance that forms our destiny.

We are in GOD’s image. When GOD wanted to create the world He thought a blueprint. GOD the Father thought a blueprint; GOD the Son spoke it (GOD the Son – the living Word spoke it); The Holy Spirit vibrates.

We are created in GOD’s image – we are supposed to create and restore our world. How? We have to think it, believe it, speak it, so when we speak we are popping a quiff. We have the cloud of possibility, we can think anything we can do anything.

What happens when we think and speak negatively – the law of attraction comes into play – whatever frequency you are thinking and speaking 9you are a spirit being with the power to pop a quaff with your thoughts; is now commanded throughout the world to bring it to you.

It is not just positive thinking, our brain cannot tell the difference between something we are imaging in our head and something we are actually seeing. Because GOD created us to be a person who creates by thinking that image in our head.

Fear has a frequency – it is a low and bad frequency that is why animals and some humans can sense it.

Cancer has a frequency.

Love, joy, peace have frequencies, much higher frequencies than fear. “Laughter does good like a medicine.” Proverbs 17:22. The frequency of laughter and joy brings healing to every cell in our body.

Culture says enlightened is believing in the ‘big bang theory’ and we are descended from monkeys; stay in your box.

Barrier 3: Cellular memory – issues of the heart

Proverbs 4:23 “Guard, keep, watch over your heart for out of it flows the issues, the springs, the sources of life.”

All matter has memory and a frequency. Every cell in our body has memory, not just our mind. The complete memory of you from conception till now the good, the bad, the ugly and each memory is vibrating – has a frequency.

We are all connected we just don’t understand how connected we are. There is a theory of entanglement, everything is connected with everything else and they are all communicating , but not in our three dimensional world, just in the unseen (spiritual) world.

Everything is connected by the one source of truth, by His light, His glory, remember the scripture says that Jesus is holding everything together (Colossians 1:15-20).

The Einstein-Podolsy-Roden Experiment proved that we communication on an unconscious level constantly, even with people we barely know.

In a U.S. Department of Defense experiment in 1998 a subject and some cells scraped from the roof of his mouth registered the same responses on polygraph machines to external stimuli shown to the subject, even up to 50 miles apart.

We have random energy generators in the U.S. they measure random energy in the atmosphere. In 1997 there were three in the U.S. during the OJ Simpson trial when the verdict was announced they registered random energy at three times higher than normal.

In 1998 during the Princess Diana funeral broadcast a large spike was observed in all the random energy generators.

In 2001 there were 87 random energy generators placed through the world. 3 hours prior to the first airliner crashing into the World Trade Center the generators began to spike. There registered six times higher than normal just before the first airliner struck.

Separation is an illusion! We think because we have a body we have our own personal space, but that is an illusion.

What about the spiritual world? GOD designed our body to heal themselves through our immune system. Every physician will tell you if your immune system worked at 100% nothing – NOTHING – could make you sick! Do we want to get restored back to that Glory Light Scale? Yes!

Stress equals illness and disease. Remember, everything is energy. Remember out of the heart flows the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Issues of the heart control health. All memories are energy stored and recalled as images and 90% of memories are unconscious! We are onlt aware of 10% of our memories.

Deliverance is not just getting rid of the demons but also getting healing from the memories.

We have 5 trillion bits of information coming into our brain every second! We are only aware of about 10,000 bits. 99.99% of everything going on in our bodies we are unaware of.

All of our health problems originate from a destructive energy frequency. All abnormal cells have to begin somewhere not physical. All problems originate from somewhere not physical.

Chemicals and nutritionals (food & medicine) are transferred from molecule to molecule at the rate of about 1 centimeter per second and a little is lost in each transfer. Transfer of information through energy occurs at around 186,000 miles per second and almost nothing is lost in the transfer. We need to be changing destructive energy frequencies into healthy ones.

GOD is a GOD of relationships.

Our relationship with GOD is based on our level of intimacy. Intimacy is all about worship.

Worship is changing our frequency to GOD’s frequency. Worship is connecting to the whole bandwidth of GOD, that is above this fallen dimension.

Before Lucifer fell he was in charge of worship and the bearer of Light. He lost his true bandwidth, his intimacy – relationship with GOD.

When Adam and Eve sinned they lost their intimacy – relationship with GOD. They began losing His Glory, His whole bandwidth. At the tower of Babel, GOD confused their frequencies – communication because the potential for anything they imagined they could do – would be done (Genesis 11:1-9)!

We are limited by being in our box. The deepest healing we need is the one where we are disrupted in our relationship with GOD. When someone is not saved their intimacy – relationship with GOD is disrupted. When a person is saved it is restored back to what GOD intended. Whatever we believe is more powerful than what is setting in front of us.

To get out of our box we must:

1.      Ask for forgiveness…salvation…baptism in water and by Holy Spirit.

2.      Remove the barriers – mindsets – thoughts and words – cellular memory.

3.      Worship – key to access His Glory.

Application:

Through worship – music, dance, intimacy we can literally bring His Glory into the atmosphere, establishing His Kingdom authority, power and dominion forever!

Let the sound of GOD come to us so that His frequencies – His vibrations take over in His presence.

Everybody gets the same download, a few embrace it, a few will chose to do something about it.

All of us humans resonate at a certain frequency, we have a certain level of consciousness, we’re really as one. You know the scripture, “Love GOD with all your heart, all your soul and all your strength and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:25-27 What it means is when you speak ill of your neighbor you are doing it to yourself.

A study of all revivals tells us there was a change of atmosphere and when people walked into that atmosphere they knew they were sinners and that they needed to change – “What must I do to be saved?” Acts 2:37

Everything is connected through Jesus. Power is in the changing of the atomic frequency of this fallen world to be the frequency of His Kingdom come!

Connect your faith to others and see what GOD sees – decree it – move those mountains.

We have to switch from our Greek mindset to our Hebrew mindset.

“Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done in the earth as it is in Heaven.” Means bring His unseen realm – dimension into this natural realm – dimension. To restore what Satan has stolen and perverted to its original purpose.

When GOD sees us He does not see us as broken down and proverty stricken, He sees our potential, He sees our destiny.

What would happen if we start thinking like the Creator thinks, when we start seeing what He sees?

How about having an atmosphere of Love?

He is the image of the invisible GOD, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the Church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.”

GOD was the first physicist.

Imagination has gotten a bad rap. GOD wants to show His unseen world, let your spirit-man see and imagine whatever it is. Don’t let the Greek mindset tell you, you cannot.

We are created in the image and likeness of the Creator!

“I have many things to say unto you, but you cannot hear them now.” John 16:12 KJV Oswald Chambers says, “GOD has to hide from us what He does until by personal character we get to the place He can reveal it.”

Spirit, Soul and Body

I saw a car commercial where a participant speaking of the thrilling experience of the power and acceleration of the car he was driving said, “I felt like I left my soul back there.” Wow! Obviously he doesn’t understand what his soul is. Most westerners have lost the concept of their being, we’re taught that we are a body and that when we die that is the end of us by most secular and atheistic sources. They do not want us to understand our full potential as a human being; they certainly do not want us to know that we are an eternal spiritual being. I do not fathom why, but the destructiveness of that teaching is evident in our cultures today.

The heinous murders, rapes and violent crimes against one another, sex trafficking, slavery of every kind, wanton violence for the perverse joy of it; selfish greed and self-satisfaction no matter the cost to others; hatred of every kind and sexual immorality of every kind. These are the signs of a soulless people, people who do not believe or care that they will face eternal judgment for their words or actions.

So who or what is our soul? I have heard it described as our heart or inner being, our stomach or innards or our mind (thoughts). Webster’s¹ defines it as, “n. the spiritual, nonmaterial part of man’s being; the immortal part, that which survives after death of the body; the essence of anything, a human being.” The Bible Dictionary² says, “The word commonly used in the Bible to describe the non-material ego of man in its ordinary relationships with earthly and physical things, the immortal part of man…The difference between man and beast is not that man has a soul or spirit, but that man is created in the image of GOD, whereas the beast is not.”

True Christians believe that GOD is one GOD yet triune in nature Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They also believe that humanity being made in His image is triune in nature spirit, soul and body.

Our spirit grows by being in relationship with the Holy Spirit through the Word of GOD, prayer, fasting and obedience; our soul grows by being in relationship with the Holy Spirit through the Word of GOD, prayer, fasting and obedience; our body on the other hand is mortal and will break down and die. We must nurture and care for it so that it lasts until we get our eternal body.

So what am I saying? I’m saying that when we believe that we are nothing more than an accident of nature and that we have no intrinsic value that it does not matter how we live or what we do we will normally tend towards evil because the heart of man is wicked. The truth is that we are made in the image of GOD and that He has a plan for our life and that it is our decision if we will live for Him or against Him. Either way we will stand in judgment, if we received GOD’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ then our works, or how we lived our life as a child of GOD will be judged; if we reject GOD’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ then we will be judged with the devil and sent to the hell that was created for the him.

GOD loves us so much that before the foundation of the world He determined that Jesus would be His sacrifice to remove our sin from us.  Our soul is immortal (cannot die) and needs to be nurtured and trained to serve and obey GOD, just as our body must be nurtured and trained to obey our spirit. Our spirit is the eternal (no beginning or end) part of us that longs for GOD, when we are born again the Holy Spirit of GOD comes and lives inside of us (we are now His temple) and nurtures and trains our spirit in the eternal call of GOD for our life. If we yield our soul and body to the leading of the Holy Spirit we will live in harmony with GOD’s eternal Kingdom on the earth and in Heaven.

Salvation

To those who see my posts but do not really believe in GOD or His Son, Jesus Christ or His Spirit, Holy Spirit. Many if not all of you know something about GOD, maybe you believe but you’re not sure about the whole Heaven and hell thing. Or how Jesus could take your sins away or even that you have sins. There may be a few who get my posts that just do not believe in GOD, so this post is for y’all.

All I can tell you is that there is a GOD, He is the GOD of the Bible. He created everything that exists and there is good and evil.

 Good and evil are not things so they were not created, they are knowledge and knowledge can be used for good or evil. Hitler was evil but evil was not Hitler, evil can never be something but the knowledge of evil can make people behave badly. Mahatma Gandhi was good but good was not Gandhi, good can never be something but the knowledge of good can make people behave correctly. Evil will lead to eternal destruction but good will not lead to eternal life. This is the key concept that lets us make since of sin and salvation. Good people go to hell when they die because they reject GOD’s gift of salvation. If you want to know more about creation and good and evil study the first 4 chapters of Genesis.

Here are a few scriptures that show what I am saying.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal live in Christ Jesus our LORD.” Romans 6:23

“For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD.” John 3:16-18

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:6

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true GOD, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3

 “Therefore He [Jesus] is also able to save to the uttermost (completely) those who come to GOD through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25 Yes, Jesus is praying for you!

“What then shall we say to these things? If GOD is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against GOD’s elect? It is GOD who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of GOD, who makes intersession for us.” Romans 8:31-34

So here is a big thing, what is sin? The word sin in old English, which is what the first English Bibles were written in, is an archery term that means ‘to miss the mark’. So sin is missing GOD’s mark or purpose for us. Today we understand that sin is behavior that does not please GOD. Here is the tricky part many good people do not believe that they should live by GOD’s standard. Evil people are easy for almost anybody to see haters, murders, rapists, drug dealers, sex traffickers almost everyone in every society would agree that these are evil people. But what about people who tell lies, have sexual relations outside of marriage, steal, gossip many of us would say they are bad people but not evil. The problem is that it is not our standard by which each of us will be judged. It is GOD’s standard and He is the Judge.

Most of us know some of the 10 Commandments, they are GOD’s standard by which we should live.

“And GOD spoke all these words, saying: ‘I am the Lord your GOD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me.

2. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your GOD, am a jealous GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your GOD in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your GOD. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

5. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your GOD is giving you.

6. You shall not murder.

7. You shall not commit adultery.

8. You shall not steal.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.’” Exodus 20:1-17

Here is what Jesus said about the law, “Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, ‘Which is the first commandment of all?’ Jesus answered him, ‘The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our GOD, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.’ So the scribe said to Him, ‘Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one GOD, and there is no other but He. And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.’ Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, ‘You are not far from the Kingdom of GOD.’ But after that no one dared question Him.” Mark 12:28-34

So this is starting to get long and I want you to read to the end.

All you need to know is that by GOD’s standard you are a sinner, as are all people who were or will ever be born. GOD loves you He does not want you to go to hell, which was created for the devil and the fallen angels. GOD sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to take our sin upon Himself as a onetime sacrifice for everyone so that our sins would be forgive. He took our place in death and went to hell in our place, being separated from His Heavenly Father for the only time ever. He as the Son of GOD defeated death and hell and rose from the dead to live eternally and by all that He did we can be forgiven for our sins and live our life for Him on the earth and be with Him in eternity when our body dies.

All that you have to do is by faith believe that Jesus is the Son of GOD, that He died in your place and rose from the grave to be seated at the right hand of GOD in there eternal Kingdom. To ask GOD to forgive you your sins by the blood of Jesus and to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Let me end this with a couple more scriptures to make my point.

“But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus and believe in your heart that GOD has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:8-10

“But GOD demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:3-4

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2

Knowing What The Bible Says

Today I upset two people that I love because I overheard their conversation about another person we all three love, and I made some comments that I did not need to make. So I had to apologize to both of them.

This event reminded me of a common experience we as believers have. That is when talking to people who do not know much if anything about Christianity or the Bible, we sometimes get offended by their well meaning statements made from a lack of understanding or proper teaching. They in turn get offended at us when we talk in Christianese thinking that they should know what we are saying.

There are many miss-concepts about what the Bible does and does not say, even in the Church. I am amazed how often I hear a Christian saying something about the scriptures that is not true. Here are a couple that you will hear from both believers and nonbelievers.

“GOD helps those who help themselves.” Jesus actually said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentile (meek) and lowly (humble) in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV He also said, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:31-33 NKJV

“Money is the root of all evil” Jesus actually said, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve GOD and mammon (riches).” Matthew 6:24 NKJV Paul said, “Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare, and into many harmful and foolish lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:6-10 NKJV

“Cleanliness is next to godliness.” Paul said, “These things I write to you, though I hope to come to you shortly; but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of GOD, which is the Church of the living GOD, the pillar and ground (foundation, mainstay) of the truth. And without controversy great is the mystery (hidden truth)of godliness: GOD (who) was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up to Glory.” “Now godliness with contentment is great gain” 1 Timothy 3:14-16, 6:6 NKJV Peter said, “Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained (received) like precious faith (faith of the same value) with us by the righteousness of our GOD and Savior Jesus Christ: grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of GOD and of Jesus our LORD, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption (depravity) that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance (patience), to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren (useless) nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting Kingdom of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:1-11 Paul also says, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of GOD, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into houeholds and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Timothy 3:1-7

So it is easy for those who know the Bible to be frustrated with immature Christians and non-believers who have heard such sayings and do not know what the Bible really says.  This gives us a teaching opportunity to without rancor or condemnation tell or show them what the Bible actually says. But to do that we must be familiar with the Bible and know how to look up verses using key words. This is a principle since Moses stated recording GOD’s interaction with His creation and humanity. I’ll just use one Old Testament and one New Testament scripture, but as you read and study the Bible you will find dozens. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in (you shall be constantly in) it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 NKJV  “All scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction (training, discipline) in righteousness, That the man of GOD may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV

A Bad Doctrine

I heard a well known preacher talking about people following his teachings getting new expensive cars and with excitement in his voice he declared, “This is the harvest!”  His co-host excitedly agreed with him, and then the preacher launched into a prayer of thanksgiving for the time of the harvest.

I was shocked and turned the channel, I could not believe that I heard any preacher equating getting an expensive new car for giving to his ministry to the harvest. When Jesus talked about the harvest He was talking about saving souls from eternal hell! Not about giving to a ministry and getting a new expensive car!

Does GOD use this ministry to preach the Kingdom? Yes He does. Do people get saved? Yes they do! Does GOD use unbelievers to further His Kingdom? Yes He does, look at Pharaoh and Joseph, look at Cyrus and Ezra and Artaxerxes and Nehemiah. So why would He not use a believer who has a wrong doctrine?

The problem is that when a person is teaching a wrong doctrine and they are not corrected or do not receive correction then they can go off in other areas of deception. Believing that financial or material blessings are a harvest is just wrong! It may be a reward or blessing, but it is not the harvest as stated by the preacher.

Matthew 7:21-25 speaks into this area, for years I thought it was about unbelievers and I do not ever remember hearing a minister of the Gospel teaching on it. I went to Bible College for 3 years and I do not remember any teaching on it. In the last year Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the fact that Jesus was talking about the end times and he was talking about people who thought they were serving Him by their religious works. This revelation truly scared me because I could see that I could very well have been one of those people who thought they were serving GOD but were really serving themselves, for 20 years I was lawless.

Now I see it is too large a percentage of preachers who have been indoctrinated to believe what they are teaching is the Gospel when it is really another gospel.

The gospel of prosperity is not the Gospel Jesus taught! The core of this doctrine as I understand it is that if we give to ministries that ask for money GOD will repay us 30, 60, 100 even 1000 fold. Now this is not about tithing which should go to where you are being fed the Word of GOD, your local Church and most prosperity teachers are clear about that. I have read and studied the Gospels and Jesus did not teach that the more money we give to Christian ministries the more money our Heavenly Father will give to us. This is another gospel than the one Jesus and the Apostles taught! Jesus and the Apostles taught that we should be storing up treasure in Heaven not on earth. Treasure that is not corruptible but eternal!

Study all of Matthew 7, if you have any doubts after that then study all 4 Gospels.

A Harsh Word for the Church

As I was falling asleep last night I was imaging myself blind and sitting in the deaf section at a church with a gathering of Church leaders. Because I was not good at Braille, since I had only been blind a short time, I was using a voice recorder to make notes about what the speaker was saying. A man behind me complained about my talking out loud so I turned so he could see that I was blind and I told him in a less than friendly manner why I was speaking during the message and that he did not have to sit by the deaf who were not bothered by me talking into a recorder.

Then I was the next speaker, as I took the podium I said to the audience, “I have probably offended one man this evening already and my message will probably offend some more of you. I am speaking about religious and political leaders. Jesus offended the religious and political leaders of Israel during His ministry. The Apostles offended the religious and political leaders of the world during their time of ministry. As believers we should be offending the religious and political leaders of our time. Because religious and political leaders are arrogant and believe they know better than the “common” man; they are motivated by pride to achieve control to fulfill their greed. Those who practice Christianity as a religion are doomed to fail because Christianity means to be “Christ like”. That only comes out of a personal, intimate relationship with the true and living GOD – Elohim (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).” Then I got up and made a note before I fell asleep. So this is what that imagery message would be.

Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever chastised the religious and political leaders of His time for making regulations that negated the commandments of GOD. Of doing their religious activities before men so that they would be thought of as special servants of GOD. Of being pompous while truly being liars, thieves and cheaters. Of telling the people to do things that they did not do themselves; or of being lawless.

The Apostles following Jesus’ example did not obey the religious and political leaders when told to stop proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that salvation only came through Jesus. They were accused of turning the world upside down, an accusation that the Church of today is not living up to.

Why is it that the Church today is not turning the world upside down? One reason is that much of the Church has stopped preaching the Gospel! Many churches are more social gatherings with a laser light concert show and a feel good short positive message followed by the café being open for fellowship. A regular Sunday service should be more like; intimate time of worshiping GOD led by a group that is not showing off their musical and clothing talents and the message should be a life challenging meaty word for believers. Social activities and a café are good for before and after the service but are not necessary for feeding the sheep.

Wow! That is rude of me! Actually Sunday services do not have to be exactly as I describe. If the congregation supports and enjoys a café type of fellowship, if they like and participate in the laser light concert worship that’s great. But the word preached must be solid food that keeps the congregation being challenged to grow in faith and obedience to the Great Commission that Christ gave the Church. It should challenge us to be in unity and fellowship with other congregations that are not apart of our select group. It should challenge us to be missions minded both locally and abroad.

This can only be done in an hour and half or two hour service if the pastor and staff know that the congregation is meeting in small groups throughout the week where young believers are nurtured and mentored. Where non-believers feel welcome and their questions are answered in an informative and caring manner. Alter calls and baptisms should happen in the larger service because the pastor and staff know that the small groups are growing through evangelism not recruitment. Ministry time at the end of the service should be reinforcing the ministry that the congregants are getting in the intimate small groups where mistakes are lovingly corrected and everyone has the opportunity and the challenge to participate by both ministering and being ministered to.

This is not about small, large or mega churches this is about humble, serving the community and fellow believer churches. GOD did not call us to conquer or to socialize our communities. He called us to live in and minister in our communities, proclaiming the Gospel, laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover, casting out demons, treading on serpents, raising the dead, making Christ’s enemies His footstool and to disciple the nations of this world into His Kingdom. Size, glamour and social correctness (a subset of political correctness) are the antitheist of the Great Commission to the Church.

In the 80’s and 90’s David (Paul) Yonggi Cho pastured the world’s largest church, it grew so large that parishioners could only come to Sunday services on their appointed date. All of the evangelism, growth and ministry happened in the house churches scattered through South Korea. It’s still the largest or at least one of the world’s largest churches, this growth is maintained through the house churches even with the controversy of the last decade. It’s the intimate and deep relationships of those in the house churches that gives the congregation the maturity to face the controversies and not disintegrate and split into numerous divided congregations. This type of maturity should be the goal of every pastor and church staff no matter the size of the congregation.

Well, if you are still reading I just want you to know that I do not believe the whole church is going to hell in a hand basket. I believe there are more true believers in the Church than not, that said I see the problem as being more of a denominational and local leadership issue. Those building up a ministry that is about their denomination’s liturgy or individual gifting and calling more than the Great Commission of the Church. Everything is about what GOD is telling them and how He is using them rather than raising up and sending out ministries as the Holy Spirit directs. I also want to apologize because this is much longer and much more of a tirade then I envisioned as I was about to fall asleep last night.

“Father Bless Your Church, Holy Spirit lead us so that Your Kingdom comes and Your Will is done where we live, work and play. Amen!”
