Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!

 

All men are created equal and endowed with these inalienable rights: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!

 

All Men are Created Equal: GOD created all humanity in one person – Adam! GOD then separated Adam into male and female because there was nothing else in His creation that could stand with and support Adam in what GOD created him for: to have dominion over the rest of His natural creation, the sky, the earth and the seas and all that was in them. Since all humans are descendents of Adam and Eve all men (humanity) are created equal before GOD: no matter our skin pigmentation, our nation of origin, our ethnicity, our socio-economic standing, our IQ or anything else that can segregate us; therefore we should not consider anyone unequal or inferior to ourself or our classification. Genesis 1-2

 

Life: All life comes from GOD who created everything that exists! He created humanity in His own image, of which there is still discussion over what that means; I believe that it does not mean that humans are better than any other part of His creation, but that we have more responsibility to accomplish His Will by our own choice. He created humanity as male and female so they could procreate and called it family; also so that they could tend and use His natural creation for His Glory and their benefit. For humans there are two kinds of life! Natural life where we are born of human parents and live in His creation to a point where our natural body dies. Then we enter into eternal life where we live as a spirit being either in GOD’s eternal Heaven or in the eternal lake of fire created for the devil and the rebellious angels. What determines which place a human spends eternity is how they lived their natural life, did they believe that JESUS CHRIST is the only begotten Son of GOD who took upon His own self the punishment that humans deserved for their disobedience of GOD’s commands; also known as the acceptance or rejection of JESUS as LORD and Savior. John 1:1-5

 

Liberty: JESUS told the Jews that if they kept His Commands they would know the Truth and the Truth would set them free; because they did not understand what He was saying they replied “We are Abraham’s descendents, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” They said this even while they were under Roman rule, but the core truth is that because they sought to serve The True Living GOD by faith as Abraham had done they were free. Even when they were slaves in Egypt they knew that The One True GOD was their GOD, when the Judeans were carried off to Babylon and under Roman rule they still worshipped GOD in faith that they would be freed and restored. This is true liberty, the very reason that most Europeans came to The New World, to get away from government or religious controlled life; they desired to worship GOD in faith and obedience to His Will. JESUS’ was telling them that they were slaves to sin not just government and that is the higher form of liberty. JESUS came as The Son of Man and The Son of GOD to deliver humans from the bondage of sin. When we believe and receive His gift of salvation we are set free from the bondage of sin and we can enter into a true liberty to Worship GOD in SPIRIT and Truth. Philippians 2:12-16

 

The Pursuit of Happiness: “If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands…” The Bible tells us to rejoice in The LORD. True happiness, True joy are found only in the confidence of our relationship with GOD. When we know that no one and nothing can take us away from GOD then we can be happy no matter what our circumstance is. Our true joy comes from the confidence in knowing that GOD will never leave us or forsake us! To pursue happiness we must seek GOD first and His Righteousness, we must keep (obey) His commands, we must love The LORD our GOD with all our heart, soul, strength; love our neighbors as we love ourself and love our enemies. GOD’s Love is the key to joy and our obedience to do His Will for us is the key to happiness. Psalm 1
