“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4:13

“When I am undressed before GOD, I find that JESUS CHRIST is right in His diagnosis.” Oswald Chambers

 

Is Oswald speaking of standing unclothed before GOD? No! Thought in Revelation 3:17-18, JESUS says, “Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked – I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich, and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.”, that we need special riches, clothing and eye salve that comes only from Him. Why? Because GOD sees and knows everything and judges us with righteousness and mercy so that justice is fulfilled.

 

Psalm 139:1-12 reveals that there is no place in creation where we can hide from GOD, that even darkness is light to Him. Verses 13-18 reveal how intimately GOD knows everything about us, because He has a plan for our life. Verses 23-24 are David’s prayer (and should be ours) for GOD to search him. In Psalm 19:12-14 David makes his prayer for GOD to search him deeply in his inner being.

 

JESUS said in Mark 4:21-25, “For nothing is hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light…” What God is after is our life fully and openly exposed to Him. What we try to hide for Him, others and even ourself will be revealed!
