The Will And The Kingdom Of GOD!

The Will And The Kingdom of GOD!

John the Baptist taught the Hebrews that GOD was calling them to repent of their sins because The Kingdom of GOD was at hand. “The beginning of The Gospel of JESUS CHRIST, The Son of GOD. As it is written in the Prophets: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You. The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of The LORD; make His paths straight.”’ John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins…And he preached saying, ‘There comes One after me that is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I indeed baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with The HOLY SPIRIT.” Mark 1:1-8

JESUS preached The Kingdom of GOD was at hand. “Now after John was put in prison, JESUS came to Galilee, preaching The Gospel of The Kingdom of GOD, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and The Kingdom of GOD is at hand, Repent, and believe in The Gospel.’” Mark 1:14-15

Early in His Ministry He taught us to pray, “Our Father Who is in Heaven, Holy is Your Name: Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10

Then He taught us, “But seek first The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

JESUS, The Son of GOD only did what GOD showed Him and what GOD told Him. “For I have come down from Heaven, not to do My own will, but The Will of Him Who sent Me. This is The Will of The Father Who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at The Last Day.” John 6:38-39

“And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, ‘Father, if it is Your Will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Yours be done.’” Luke 22:41-42

So how do we know The Will of GOD for us, what is His Kingdom and how do we proclaim it?

Prayer, where we listen to GOD’s SPRIT and learn from GOD’s Word. Studying GOD’s Word with other Christians and reading The Bible as much as possible. We can go about life fulfilling are own desires or the desires of others, but we should be seeking GOD’s Will for our life everyday. The more time we spend in seeking to know GOD by His Word and fellowship with other Christians than wherever we are and whatever we are doing GOD can use us to proclaim His Kingdom.
